So Parashat Vezot Haberachah is the parashah where Moshe Rabbenu gives over the berachot to the shevatim, the 12 tribes. And in the first aliyah over here it says, Torah tziva lanu Moshe morasha kehilat Yaakov. Torah tziva lanu Moshe morasha, the Torah was given through Moshe Rabbenu. Morasha kehilat Yaakov, it's a morasha, it's an inheritance, a heritage for kehilat Yaakov, for the congregation of the Jewish people. This is the pasuk, by the way, that we teach the children um when they start to speak. This is the pasuk we teach them to say. And it's not for nothing because this pasuk actually capsulizes the essence of Torah, of what Torah is. See, people think that Torah is for the more educated group, for people that have a background of scholarship, for people that are smart, for people that are religious, but not everybody feels this, you know, very strong connection to the Torah the same way the rabbis do or things like that. So the Torah is telling us over here that it's incorrect. Torah tziva lanu Moshe, the Torah is given to us through Moshe. Morasha kehilat Yaakov, it's like a morasha, it's like a yerusha, it's an inheritance. That means if you come from Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov, then you are part of this inheritance. You have this gift. It doesn't matter what your background is, it doesn't matter what your education, it doesn't matter how advanced you are. If you are part of the children of Am Yisrael, then you have connection to the observance of Torah and mitzvot. It's yours, it's your morasha. And this is why we teach it to the children when they start to speak to instill this message that Torah is not something that's exclusive to the elite group of Am Yisrael. It's it's given over to every single Jew. It's your Torah, and a person should never think that it's not for me, I can't do it. This is what the Torah over here is coming to tell us in this aliyah that it's a morasha. This is a key word in this aliyah is the word morasha, it's a heritage. And if you're part of Am Yisrael, then it is your Torah as well. So, don't let go.
