parashat kitisa
king solomon writes tov
that someone with a good eye
will be blessed
explains that that pasuk
was referring to moshe rabbenu and why
is that because musharraben was someone
who had a great and generous eye and he
did so much for everyone but there was
two great examples that proves to us the
midrash says that mushroom was extremely
generous number one we found in this
week's parashat in this week's parashaka
deshpat who tells me
to go and carve brand new tablets and
these tablets will be brought up and
hashem will inscribe in them
the torah says hashem tells him that
that mushroom should go carve for
himself
and the intention was that moshe bennu
was being the one who was given the
torah again
it was moshe's own will to be generous
and go and share it with bene israel the
second time this is later in our torah
when mushrik was passing on and he's
passing on the mantle of leadership to
yahshua two years
hashem tells him to put one hand on
yeshua's head when he
gives him that new position when he does
and he uh he ordinates him as the new
leader what did mushroom do he put two
hands on it so the obvious question is
how do these two things really show
mushrooms great generosity okay so
hashem gave him the torah by him sharing
the knowledge of torah
and those obligations in the mitzvot
with the rest of the nation does that in
any way
diminish mushroom's greatness similarly
by passing on the mantle of leadership
by ordinating yeshua with two hands
instead of one hand how does that make
moshe benu
any any more generous he's not losing
anything normally when someone's
generous they're giving of themselves
they're giving something
so the answer's as follows in life
there is a concept that we obviously
want good for others
we want everyone to be successful
everyone to be happy everyone to be
great
but the question is is do we want them
to have it as good as we have it
do we want them to succeed as great as
we do do we want their children to be as
great as ours
do they want do we want their business
to be as great if not better than ours
this is what mushroom was doing
benu was showing that even though the
torah was given to him he is sharing
with benesir because he understands the
great value that the entire nation
should fulfill it
when yoshua benue was was up next to be
the next leader he wanted yoshua to be
as great if not even better of a leader
than he was for ben israel that's
that someone who has a great i will be
blessed i think very applicable to us is
that
we should look at our family our friends
our neighbors and we should obviously
wish good unto everyone and bless
everyone and hope that everyone succeeds
and does great but we should also want
them to have it as great if not greater
than us and that is a true lesson in
emunah because when we understand that
what ours is ours and what's theirs is
theirs and what we have is exactly what
hashem wanted us to have and what we
don't have is exactly hashem didn't want
us to have we can truly be happy with
what we have and we can be happy for
others
