I want to start off by thinking huzzah
cameo you for putting together this
incredible event I want to thank Chris
Moore to ask for the rub of this amazing
Kela first of all that amazing
introduction but also he has an
incredible reputation himself and it's a
us to be here and to share some words of
tour at this special time I want to
share something very deep something very
powerful something which will hopefully
transform not only your ll but this
important time period as we start
sleeveless tonight we start that the
transition from where we understand that
things are getting real to where is
crunch time we have about a week and I
want to develop something profound but I
want to start off with a story the story
goes like this there was an elderly man
who came across an old friend old friend
back from when he was younger
and they were overjoyed to see each
other they haven't seen each other in
about 20 or 30 years and the elder man
said would you like to catch up would
you like to schmooze talk a little bit
so they said of course and they started
to talk they start the catch-up he said
you know it's getting late would you
like to come to my apartment we can
continue the conversation we can talk I
said sure
they talk through the ninth shared old
stories jokes experiences where they've
been what they've done who they saw what
they saw and it got to the point where
it was getting pretty late so the guests
look to his hosts and he said what time
is it
do you have a watch mine chance the guy
said no no I'm a watch so you don't know
watch do you have a clock he said no I
don't have a clock is that listen how do
you tell time said I tell time with the
trumpet
don't what is that and how do you tell
time with the trumpet so he smiles and
says just wait a second
opens the window takes out his trumpet
and blows a long deafening blast a
couple seconds later there was a shout
from a wind the next door it's three
o'clock in the morning what are you
doing waking me up turnt just friend
said it's three o'clock and while it's a
cute story
like to me that story represents owl
that L is hashem blowing that chauffeur
waking us up in the middle of night from
our slumber because this is the wake-up
call where we start to realize that life
is essential and profound and important
and we start to question what are we
doing with their lives who are we
becoming what are we doing with the time
we've been given and what I've started
to realize is that we need a chauffeur
for the chauffeur we need an L for L
because we're so numb to this constant
cycle of experience where we're not
really tapping in to the true potential
of owl to the true potential of Rosh
Hashana of what this process really
holds in store and what I like to do is
to perhaps take it a step deeper perhaps
develop these themes because there is so
much that life holds in store and
there's so much that this specific time
period holds in store so when I develop
some very deep themes when it comes to
Rosh Hashanah but I want to start off
with a very simple request I want you to
take 10 seconds
to genuinely and experientially imagine
the best year of your life that if this
upcoming year were to be the absolute
best year of life what would it be like
what would you accomplish what would you
create what would you bring to fruition
what ideas what potential what is in you
that you want to bring out that you've
just been waiting to do that you've
never really accomplished that 1 2 3
things that you've always dreamed of
doing
and it could be any
but I want you to imagine just for a
couple seconds and by reason of hands
who thinks that's an extraordinary image
to imagine it's amazing right and it's
also just so pleasurable whenever I ask
people do that to see the smiles that
come to people's faces cuz we love that
inspiration the imagination the what-if
but when we look at our to-do list in
our New Year's resolutions our L
resolutions they tend to be very similar
to last year because we often have these
goals these dreams these ambitions
things we want to accomplish and the
inspiration of Fame's we know that
there's that time of inspiration I want
to remind us what we should be doing but
then when it comes down to it we get we
get swept back up into the daily routine
into the cyclical habitual lifestyle
where it just not happen and the
question I always ask is how how do we
get out of that how do we take our lives
to that next level and before we go a
little deeper I just want to share a
little bit of my personal story if
anyone who doesn't know any of my
anything about my story when I was when
I was younger I was actually gonna go to
the NFL that's actually I was really
good at football and like it wasn't just
me who thought I wasn't making I thought
other people thought so too I was really
good but then in kindergarten I busted
my knee and had to change I had to
change career paths I've in all
seriousness when I was younger I was
that kid who was inspired I was always
going to those inspirational speeches
and I would come out saying like I want
to change my life I want my life to be
better I want to make a difference in
the world I want to make a contribution
the class rule to the world as a whole
and every time I would have those
inspiring thoughts there would be that
that voice in the back of my head that
says you can't do that come on
like what makes you think you're capable
what makes you think that you're gonna
do anything different than you've done
in the past I mean yeah sure you're a
nice guy but you can't do anything great
and the inspiration would fade
until one year I had the most
devastating year of my life I was about
20 years old and I was walking through
my day and I just felt this pain in my
head and then I felt the pain in my
stomach and I just lost consciousness
and I woke up but I didn't just wake up
I remember the pain and the struggle to
come back to conscious coz I passed out
before before that and it was just you
don't remember passing it you just
remember waking up you just wake up this
was different
this wasn't just waking up this was a
long struggle to wake up and I thought
this was a one-time incident and then it
happened week later and for about a six
month period I had no idea if this was
gonna happen remember every time it
happened I didn't think I was gonna wake
up and every time it happened I woke up
so scared not understanding what was
happening inside of me and I began to do
something which was incredible but a
gift that Hashem gave me which is to
question the meaning of my life on a
daily basis I was facing death on a
daily basis and I was having a midlife
crisis at the age of 20 what is my life
about I don't know if I'm gonna live
till tomorrow why am I here and then
something else happened I started to
lose the ability to speak I start having
this jabbing pain in my throat where
every time I would try to say something
it felt like something was stabbing my
throat and my life was falling apart and
I was questioning life on a daily basis
I didn't know if I was gonna live till
tomorrow and doctors had no idea what
was going on they couldn't diagnose it
and for about a six-month period I was
living life on such a different plane
where on the one hand I didn't think I
was gonna make it in the other hand I
was starting to ask questions and do
things that were so different I start to
build new habits I start to learn and
ask a question I started to listen and
read and find mentors and obey Him and I
started to get like I was becoming such
a different person because of it and
it's a gift to be able to ask yourself
why am I here
what is my life about what if I died
today what am I gonna leave in this
world what have I become with my life
what consciousness have I constructed
what type of essence have I created with
a life
given and after about six months the
doctors were finally able to realize
this was something called vasovagal
which is not the address and if you
understand how to prevent it it's
absolutely fine I haven't had an episode
in many many years but that didn't train
at the moment and kept on going and I
kept on learning I kept on just
investing into myself and then I began
you know people ask can you help me can
you give me advice I began to coach I
began to write they began to speak and I
began to go on this journey of self
development and self exploration because
of this gift that I was given there's a
wake-up call this near-death experience
but my mission and the single most
important principle that I want to share
with you and really delve deeper into
this is that you don't need a near-death
experience to have a wake-up call you
know many people they see only those who
have had those near-death experiences do
things and it's so not true
that's just a few and I want to share
you a deep insight this is not just an
idea which I'm sharing with you
I shine instilled within the very fabric
of time this principle that's what L is
it is the wake-up call you don't need to
go through some horrifying you know
experience where your life falls apart
and many of us have but you only need
that to wake up to start living life at
a higher level to start taking life to
the next level
and so what I'd like to do now is I'd
like to develop the per inner feeling of
this time period of teshuva of Rosh
Hashana and to do that I want to begin
with a very simple question teshuva
means what what's the rudest issue of
our shoes to return and the question is
what are we returning to who are you
returning to so yes in the simple level
we're returning to a sham but I want to
develop this a little deeper and also
there's a very fascinating Gemara the de
marrón condition that flama tes on the
base and the Gemara says that before the
world was created
teshuva was created and the question you
have to ask is this just something
chronological like teshuva was prayed
before the world or is this something
deeper it's something perhaps more
fundamental that teshuva is some cosmic
root principle that comes before
creation itself and the question is why
second question is a very enigmatic
romba around by Maimonides he talks
about the power and importance of true
the Hydra true of up that wall in the
midst of that discussion he says
something very enigmatic and pure he
says that there is he listed a number of
people but one in particular want to
discuss is that someone who disconnects
themselves from the Jewish people from
the Jewish community even if he
continues to do all the mitzvahs and
show my torment sauce is a upstanding
Jew if he disconnects himself from the
community he gets no shared Olam haba he
gets no share in the world to come and
the question you have to ask is I
understand if he's a terrible person if
he's an idolatry she violates Shabbos
there's something horrible but if he's
keeping all the mitzvahs but he's just
doing it by himself somewhere else
what's so wrong with that maybe it's
wrong maybe it's bad but to the extent
that you lose your share in the world to
come the if you look at the rest of the
list where he talks about people who
also share in the world to come their
heinous their awful people
so what's so bad about this person the
third question is what is the connection
between the main themes of Rosh Hashana
between the main themes of the feel of
Rosh Hashanah because there are three
main themes of the feel that mean there
are so Jonah what are they Martha's
chauffeur and Tsar Chronos so the
question is these are three beautiful
ideas and if you look at the soup
command the explanations it's a
beautiful Fela what are these three
themes what are the three themes of show
Fross Cronus and Mario's but what's the
deeper connection between these three
because if you look at them on their own
they've it's beautiful I guess show for
us is the shofar we push over the
cornice we go back to the Ikeda that's
the memory we recall the the memory of
the Ikeda and Mathias we crown when
Hashem is our King well what's the
deeper connection so let's start by
understanding a deeper level and to do
that we just need to
the basic question what are we trying to
return to because if you think about it
life life has those those moments of
inspiration those moments of dreams and
if we'd be honest with ourselves we're
all at different stages of life but
we've all had those bursts of clarity
the births where we know who we were
meant to become what or meant to
accomplish and it's it's enjoyable but
what happens we get we get scared what
if I try and I fail what would people
think of me if I did this or we get
scared about the pain I don't want to go
through the suffering you know I don't
want to start that diet give up the food
I love I don't want to you know take the
risk of going into the unknown now I'm
comfortable or I don't want to you know
try something new where I I just don't
think I'm worthy or capable of taking my
life to next level or I don't you know
have this optimistic perception of life
I've just lost my idealism and my
excitement I just don't have the passion
there are so many reasons why we stopped
that the momentum and the excitement and
the energy but in order to really get to
the root of it we need to understand
what's the goal what are we trying to
accomplish what is the goals chuhwa and
before we develop the deeper ideas I
just want to share with you a beautiful
story the story which has really touched
me and inspired me and the story goes
like this there's a story of two boys
two boys who love to ice skate five
there was no ice skating rink in their
City but in the winter the lake freezes
over
so as the winter time and they go out to
that to the lake and they start the
skate but it wasn't frozen over as much
as they thought and the ice cracks
underneath one of them and the boys get
swept under the ice and while he gets
swept underneath the ice his friend sees
this and runs as fast as he could again
but he's not quick enough and the kid
gets swept all the way on there his
friend is freaking out he looks around
he sees a tree in the distance so he
runs full speed and he pulls down a
giant branch he takes that branch he
runs back over its
thrashing at the ice breaks through ice
pulls his friend over pulls him back to
safety starts to resuscitate him by the
time the ambulance came they're able to
resuscitate everything was fine one of
the older ambulance members looks at
this scrawny little kid and says I don't
I don't understand how can the scrawny
little kid pull down this giant branch
well smash through this thick ice it
doesn't make any sense so when the older
ambulance member smiles so I'll probably
how he did it Wow how'd he do it there
was no one there to tell him that he
couldn't and we have to ask ourselves
what could we accomplish if we didn't
listen to that voice inside or outside
our friends our parents our family
ourselves that convinces us that we're
just not capable but just not for us and
we'd said that now I could do this so
the question now becomes what is the
process of tissue though so I want to
develop two stages the first is the
practical stage of chuhwa which we're
going to develop the ROM BOMs approach
to Juba and now I think it one step
deeper so the simple approach to suva to
repentance which we're going to
translate as return has three stages
three levels within the romba the first
stage is to go into the past and to
recognize the problem what does that
mean that means going into the room by
yourself and just being self aware being
able to recognize that there's something
I could just switch that one thing I can
make that one little change develop that
one habit change my thinking on this
change this relationship that one thing
but it's about recognizing the problems
there are houses very beautifully in my
social sorry if you can't recognize the
problem it can't fix it and just such a
profound thing to realize that when you
allow into your consciousness what you
allow into your field your horizon of
perception becomes your reality until
you start to evolve and expand that
perception you can't grow meaning
nothing can change until you change and
nothing within you can change until you
recognize there's a possibility for
change so the first thing is just
recognizing that you are not a static
being you can develop and going within
yourself and saying what is there that
can change the second thing that was not
only recognizing within the past that
you could change that there's something
that was wrong but within the present to
very deeply regret it
that's what the Raman says the second
stages is segrete to want to be more
because there are people who know if
they've had exactly on their radar what
could change but they just don't want to
change they're so happy with who they
are or at least they're complacent
they're saying it's enough they don't
have that emotional attachment to say
something has to give
it's one thing to recognize what could
change is nothing to attach a motion to
it that feel we are very smart beings
we're able to numb the pain we're able
to say that it's true this is horrible
but I just don't care enough but to have
the ability to to let go of that wall
that prevents it from being emotional
from being hurtful and to say no no like
I'm not gonna numb the pain I'm gonna
experience it so I can take my life to
the next level because change will only
happen when your life gets to the point
where you can no longer stand the way it
is there has to be a breaking point and
we're very good at numbing that breaking
point so we don't feel it but until you
get to the point where you allow
yourself to say like I don't want to do
this anymore
I'm ready to give up being okay with
this to the extent that I can take my
off next level until that happens it's
impossible but the third step is perhaps
the most important it's going into the
future remember we had past present the
random says the third stage is to then
commit to a greater future you have to
acknowledge it you have to regret it you
have to want to change and you have to
commit to change and that's the hardest
step because that that
that means that it's no longer within
you you're making a genuine commitment
you're saying I'm taking my life to the
next level and I have so many clients
who come over to me and they they say
like I'm trying I just how do I actually
do it how do I change and like one of
the classic examples the person wants to
go on a diet and I you know it's not
working out so I say do you have junk
food in your cabinet and they say yeah
like how do you expect yourself to
genuinely evolve and develop and grow if
you're not creating an environment of
growth if you have all of the challenges
always in front of you it can't grow and
it's the same thing for every aspect you
want to start learning more books around
your room you want to start you know
being more positive surround yourself
with positive people if you're not
creating an environment of growth you're
not going to be able to genuinely take
that next step and that's why the Rambam
says is that to shoo the gomorrah is if
you are put in the same exact situation
full trubiz if you're pretty in the
exact same situation and you wouldn't do
it so what's the question everyone asks
how can you know how can you genuinely
know if you're first of all it's
impossible because all the different
psychological physical spiritual
elements that went into that specific
decision point it's impossible to put
yourself back in the same situation but
the real question is even if you were
put in the same situation tomorrow how
do you know now that tomorrow you
wouldn't do it again it's a good
question so the question how can we ever
do to Pho we're never gonna so what's
the answer
so one beautiful approach you can't know
if you would do it again
you can't the truth is a sham could no
but what are you saying what are you
committing to you're saying that I so
much want to improve I so much want to
be better that right now I want to be
the type of person that if I was in that
situation I wouldn't do it I can't tell
you honestly what I wouldn't want to do
because there would be a lie to say I
promise you I'll never do it again
very often we want to do true then we
mess up again but I could tell you what
I want and that's the power of desire
for Autzen means that is a powerful
story about
person who wanted to be great we want it
to be successful so he found this guru
this this expert this professional who
was you know the world expert in
whatever life success it doesn't really
matter what so we found out where he
lived they tracked him down he knocked
on the door of the guru guru answers he
says I want to be successful I want to
be like you how do I do it how do I take
my life to the next level so the Guru
says you know what I'll tell you how
meet me tomorrow by the beach at 5:30 in
the morning I'll tell you how to be
successful guy says okay the Guru gurus
gonna tell me so it shows up the next
next morning at 5:30 with suits and you
should've wore a bathing suit because
when the Guru got there he said start
walking into the water so now you listen
to the Guru starts walking into the
water gets about knee-deep and looks
back at the Guru and says okay I'm here
can you tell me how am I supposed to be
successful
what's the secret guru says keep walking
it's about waist deep looks back gurus
just keep walking this time he was about
shoulder deep he's thinking this guru is
a little crazy
the Guru's crazy looks like the Quran
says come on King Tommy how do it guru
says keep walking says listen I came all
this way he's going to keep walking so
he turns around is about to keep walking
before he can think twice the Guru takes
his head and rosin underneath the water
and he's thinking like this gurus crazy
he's trying to get out he can't get out
he's struggling to breathe and he's
thinking like I'm gonna die here this
gurus a serial killer that's how he
became successful so he starts to you
know it's man I just trying to get out
he can't he's really struggling to
breathe and he's about to lose
consciousness when the GUI pulls him up
from underneath the water and the Guru
tells him something that he'll never
forget the Guru looks at him and says
when you were underneath the water what
did you want most
what did you want most he's recovering
we're trying to get some action he says
I want the breathe
it's all I wanted I just wanted to
breathe through look cinnamon sense when
you want to succeed as much as you want
to breathe then you'll be successful
that's so powerful to think about what
you want in life because we become what
we want we become what we really want
and there's a beautiful
you know Kabbalistic mystical exercise
called the rough zone exercise and many
you know positive psychologist has
actually developed this as the want
exercising they've taken it it's a
incredible exercise to do you can do it
right now you can do it by yourself but
it's really asking yourself and that
it's best to do it alone in the room
where you can think about you know what
you really want but you ask yourself
what do I really want in life and then
you say okay why do I want that then you
say okay why do I want that and you keep
on going until you get back to the
absolutely route that's what's driving
you and you start to see that this is
really what's driving my life and
sometimes you're not so happy with
what's driving life you say like this is
really what my life is about and you
start to say what can i generate life
towards what's worth want them because
we live our lives based on our Rutzen
based on our desire there are miles
talks about rulers IQs Harrison changing
your designer changing what you want and
the question we need to ask ourselves is
how do we develop a deeper want and what
I want to do now for the remainder of
this this short cheer is to go the next
level deeper one level deeper and I want
to develop a deeper understanding of
teshuva so far we developed the
practical steps taking our life to the
next level want to take it a step deeper
and to do that we need to need to
examine one of the most fascinating
admires one of my favorite kumari is
like a bar and you needed a flower in a
vase and the Gemara says that when you
were a fetus you learned cola - oh cool
all of Torah
Amala who was teaching you cold or cool
just before you were born the mouth hit
you on the mouth
and you forgot everything and then you
were born and we're born we don't know
anything we have to learn Torah and the
question that everyone asks is what's
going on what's the purpose of making
you forget it and if you're going to
forget it why teach it you in the first
place so the vinegar Vilna Gaon gives a
beautiful explanation he says that you
weren't made to forget everything you
learned you lost access you were given
everything in the womb as a gift and
that was a humor not just learning
hummus Niraj a practical Torah you were
being shown with clarity the absolutely
truth of reality maybe you were being
given a crystal clear lens as to who you
were meant to become within the cosmic
structure of that khloé general goal of
life and you were shown where the entire
world is going and how you fit in what
your mission is what your purpose is
what you're meant to become an
accomplished and you weren't me to
forget it your loss you lose access to
that clarity so that you can come into
this world and build it yourself because
that's what life is about it's about
starting out as a child as no developed
character into let no spiritual
sensitivity and developing and building
and making your own in essence life
itself is what teshuva it's a returning
back to your feet'll self back to your
roots we are all in this giant journey
back to our original source and if you
think about it so far the word chauffeur
when we blow Sofer with chauffeur
we're going to develop us in a couple
minutes but if you take the word so far
was actually mean in Hebrew well this
shot pair means to go back to the root
and to beautify to make beautiful man
shall fear what's Misha fear the
amniotic fluid of the fetus that's
Shaffir going back to the root going
back to the source
that's what shall frizz it's waking us
up to go back to our root to go back to
that fetal stage when we were perfect
and that's what our life is about
becoming hours of we're not trying to
become great we're trying to become our
true selves it's like there's this
misconception that there's something
objective called greatness greenness is
becoming you it's becoming the person
you were meant to become
before we go deeper and we're gonna go
deeper in a minute there are three
levels of the Shiva the first level is
where you go back to your roots but the
second level is where you go back to
this Kaliyuga where we go back to this
collective self where you're going back
to so to speak your individual self but
you're also part of something bigger
you're part of a quali cloudiness around
the knee Israel is one collective self
and the goal of life is it is very
simply recognizing that we start our
experience of life as an ego we're the
only thing that exists is me and
everyone else is separate and the
process of life is getting this sense
that I'm part of something bigger both
practically and also spiritually that we
have a clot that roof
who you saw Raven Zell is that he eats a
hot believe a hunt that we are all part
of something bigger we're all part of a
collective self and therefore chuhwa is
not just going back to your roots it's
going back to our roots as a Clow and
the third stage is going back to our
absolute root the root of all roots the
source of all sources Hashem themselves
and that if you don't find yourself
within a bigger self as an official kind
puts it the neshamah shundich ammos if
you find yourself as something separate
you live a very separate life until you
find yourself within a bigger self
within the bigger consciousness that you
are not some individual separate ego
floating around in space but that you're
connected to some higher higher self
some higher entity the question resolved
you haven't performed full teshuva and
you need all three and this goes back to
the Randolph who says that if you
disconnect yourself from Klaus row even
if you're performing all the mitzvahs
you don't get a limb haba why because if
you've disconnected yourself from class
or you've disconnected yourself from
your root you don't exist it's like
think of it as part of an electric
current if you disconnect a bulb from an
electric current the bulb will turn on
because it's not tapped in if you're not
tapped into the collective consciousness
there is an aspect of Olam haba which is
individual and that's a whole separate
discussion but a very deep part of Olam
haba is being part of reality being your
consciousness will transcend your body
and you'll become you the being that you
created with your life but if you've
disconnected yourself from that
circuitry you've said I'm not part of
choir all you won't exist you've
disconnected yourself from reality the
same thing that goes if you disconnect
yourself from a Sharma you're not part
of reality which is ultimately as well
get to the root of Rosh Hashana is
connecting yourself into reality it's
saying I want to be part of this I want
to have a bigger role in life I want to
be part of this cosmic symphony we call
life I want to contribute to the world
to Christ all I want to make some
contribution or make an impact
and now we can develop two important
principles before we do this we can go
back to our original question why is
teshuva
why is to sugar proceed creationist now
why is the sugar created before I said
create the world because teshuva is the
root of reality all of life is about to
shove about going back to our roots
about going back to our collective root
clients or about going back - I'm
himself and that's why Soph math said
mash of Aquila before you do anything
you have to build that seed so if my
semi vertically means before you can
accomplish anything has to arise first
mere thought but if you want to build a
tree after plant the seed if you want to
accomplish two-foot tissue but it has to
leave the root so that's why to Shuba
precedes creation because the sugar is
the root of creation let's briefly
develop the connection between show
froze the Chronos and mouth Leos as we
already mentioned tro forces about going
back to your roots elf main shaft here
the amniotic fluid when we blow so far
it's that cry if I want to go back to
who I meant to be I want to be the
person I meant to become I want to be my
best self and that's why if we think
about it the cool of so far the cool of
so far what does that mean
if you think about it what is speech if
we think about the concept of coal of a
wordless cry when I take a deep breath I
take a big mishima and I express my
thoughts into the air through vibrations
and they're being received in your ears
right now and they're being redefined
that we translate into sound into
letters into words into meaning and
magically what was in my mind is now in
your mind and that's the form of
communication it's Niebuhr so in this
sense I took in a deep breath of mishima
and I expressed my neshama into the
world the extent way now you get to
experience always in my head but that's
a limited form of expression why because
if anyone who's in a relationship knows
it's impossible to communicate genuinely
in words the words are never what you
actually
devar de Bourgh is a thing and it's also
a word why because it's limited it's a
construct and anyone who's studied this
topic knows that communication is so
difficult because whenever we're
communicating we're never saying what we
really think what we really feel we're
trying to convey it in a limited way
through deep or through words but
there's two levels of speech one is
awarded speech and the other is a speech
that goes beyond words where you just
can't convey what you're trying to
convey in words and that goes back to
the root of what you really mean it's
like when you have an overwhelming
experience what do you say wow wow
really just means out of anything to say
about this and words it's too
overwhelming it's too incredible I can't
communicate it in a marriage you get to
the point where you're able to
communicate beyond words and that's what
coal means cultural pride anyone who's
familiar with the Holocaust of chauffeur
knows that the whole concept of
chauffeur is not the physical chauffeur
it's the coal chauffeur which is why
there's a question can use a stolen
chauffeur and we pass can we say you
could why because it's not about the
physical chauffeur it's all about the
the actual coal but what is coal coal is
that trail that that wordless cry that
goes beyond words and when we blow that
troffer it's us saying that we want to
go back to that route without words
without and if you think about it and
this really is very profound
when do we cry but chauffeur is
connected to two damata tears to the cry
the shrill the cry of quiet or cry of
people in tonight why because when you
cry it's it's it's this expression that
you just can't put into words it's it's
well when does someone cry when they're
on a path on a journey Holson everything
falls apart and everything they thought
that was gonna happen doesn't happen
someone thought we they were gonna live
for another 50 years and they find out
they're gonna die someone thinks they're
gonna die in a day and they find that
they're not gonna die tears of joy
crying is what happens when your journey
falls apart when there's no expression
well you don't have any you can't even
express yourself
but at route crying means that I'm going
beyond expression I'm going back to the
roots and the cry of chauffeurs when
we're saying that I just want to go back
to my roots
I'm just your name frame or I want to go
back to who I'm meant to be I want to go
back to my Chloe to our Clow as a
collective want to go back - Anna I'm
just learning to transcend to achieve
more to live on a higher plane and
that's what the cry offers that's the
depth of chauffeur and there's more we
don't have time to talk about it right
now the next level is Acronis services
memory what's a memory memory something
in the past where I go back and I trace
it back to its root if you think about
the concept of a memory memory is all
about sourcing back saying that I'm in
the present but I come from a history I
come from a past my past my family's
past my Nations past where am i coming
from it's about ruining yourself back to
that source that's why we go back to the
akkada why because they Keith is that
the root of klystrons connection - I'm
gonna transcend anyway what happened at
the Ikeda
think about Hitchcock was willing to
give up his life why would you give up
your life if you think that once you die
you've ceased to exist you never give up
your life for anything
I'm a very belief system of giving up
your life requires there to be a belief
that I am NOT my body that I'm connected
to some higher root higher yourself I'm
a consciousness I will not cease to
exist once I die when you talk was
willing to give up his life
the shame kiddush Hashem he was saying
that I am affirming my belief that I'm
connected to a higher reality when we
say that the Ikeda
brings forth the memory with the Bhumi
blow so far we bring back the memory of
the Ikeda on Rosh Hashanah
we're saying that we're going back to
our root as a claw as a collective self
that transcends this physical world is
facing time that we are connected to a
higher root that we are eternal we have
a deep connection with Hashem and the
gumar says and there's a host of
bringing back the memory of the Ikeda
we'll hope for a good director what's
that mean we're saying that we are so
connected to something more it's all
about rooting ourselves
and that's what Markos is about Maoists
malleus we crown a sham as king why the
house is something deep something
powerful he says what's the purpose of
crowning ash and asking them one word
talking about Hashem is our Mela Hashem
is our root where it's the same thing so
far is going back to your individual
self the nation fear the amniotic fluid
saying I am destined for greatness
that's my true self the chorus is going
back to our lovely self as a nation
where's a nation come from that roots of
the Akita and Marcos is what's our
absolute what's the root of all roots
what's the self of all South that's
Hashem that's her ultimate source and
that's the ultimate purpose of Rosh
Hashana crowning action is king why
somehow says beautifully that when the
Gemara Shoshanna says that when you dive
in and when you crown Ash and his king
and there's a horse of crowning of
Simon's King we move Hashem from the
Keisei of then for the Keisei rahman so
the question you have to ask what was
that mean but if you understand and this
requires a whole others here but I'm the
very surface level that then itself is
something that I'm created Vashem is the
ultimate route of reality that is
completely transcendent of all rules and
requirements and he created this system
of space and time in physics and our
system of life and that at root he's the
ultimate root of everything then then
doesn't have to happen you can overcome
death and there are process how Rahman
doesn't even overcome them that's the
beauty of Rahman we don't have time to
develop that but how do you overcome din
how do you get a judgment of Rahman by
recognizing that your judgment is
ultimately coming from a shaman it's all
about rooting yourself in reality
connecting yourself session which gets
to the ultimate question will end with
us the ultimate question is and this is
really what we're at the time of the
Rambam says that we have people who are
a deacon that they're written in the
book of life at the very beginning you
have people who are refined evil they're
in in the book of death and then you
have the Boehner Boehner name people who
are neither
you are there and they have really this
time period to root themselves in the
book of life so question everyone asks
is the roundup sloshing around BOMs
language is so weird he says that if you
have 50% sins and 50% mitzvahs you're in
the bane of nice age if you're more
you're it's attic if you're last year
Russia why should everyone asks is that
it seems that no one would be at vina
needs to sit statistically to be 50/50
is so so rare if we're talking about
quantitative mitzvahs how many mitzvahs
how many of Eros really because we
assume that most of the world they're
being in it so happen to be the most of
the world as a Beynon is somewhere in
the 50/50 so one of the most beautiful
answers is like this you are where you
root yourself how you identify yourself
like why don't people become great so we
talked about it most people don't become
great because they're scared or because
they have failed or they're scared of
failure or they don't want to give up
the ease and the comfort and the
pleasure because they don't believe
they're capable or because other people
tell them they're not good enough but so
many people do reason why they're not
great is because they've never decided
they've never really decided who they
are what their life is going to be about
what they're going to devote their time
towards how they're gonna view
themselves how are they're gonna view
reality what they're gonna devote their
time towards that's what the baton is
the the deeper approach of the bane of
me is someone who hasn't rooted
themselves decided for the art because
you are aware you root yourself who you
decide you're gonna become that
assertion of will that decision that I'm
going to be great and so many people
they just haven't decided and that's
what I've been in here someone who yeah
I'll do something good when it comes my
way I'll do something bad one comes my
way but I haven't decided that this is
what my life's gonna be about and
there's no question I'm going in that
direction and that's what lol is about
is rooting yourself in reality shifting
your core your identity and saying I'm
gonna be someone else it's not gonna
happen I'm gonna make it happen and the
way I'm gonna make it happen is starting
the decision when you want to succeed as
much as you want to breathe when you
make that decision that I'm gonna be
someone different I'm gonna be so many
more and that is what we're all about
it's deciding that I want to rule myself
in reality I want to be connected to a
sham I want to be my best self won't be
part something bigger than myself I want
to contribute my life to clients Rho
which is why in Russia Shana
we don't mention vetoing we don't talk
about sins why because Russian itself is
all about connecting ourselves - I'm
just saying I want to be here I want to
be rooted in something more yeah yeah
we're gonna talk about my personal
husband that's more for Yom Kippur then
well then we'll talk about all that
right now all I'm saying is I want you I
want to be more I want to be part of
something more just use me if you think
about it we're all living our life story
but we have to ask ourselves what part
am I gonna play I might am I playing
some background role in this world where
am I gonna play a bigger part am I gonna
take on something more make a new
decision make a bigger contribution make
sure that my life is worth living and
that's what we're asking I said we're
saying put me in the book of life
because I want to be part of this life I
want to I want to be a living walking
kiddush Hashem I want to just represent
you in this world let let me do that I
want to crown you as my mouth and maybe
Zola that when we starts clapping sleeve
hose tonight we're not clapping it's
like who can clap louder we're trying to
wake ourselves up we're trying to say I
want this life to be the best life
possible and I want to make the biggest
impact and make the most the life I've
been given
I want to realize all my potential and I
want to express all that feel potential
it may be it may be ZOA to really do
that than to be inspired to utilize this
out on this the time P that we're
currently in to really get prepare
ourselves to Russia showing us so that
we ultimately are all put in the book of
life
