my name is mayor Zuckerman I'm a
psychotherapist and private practice in
Lakewood New Jersey I'm also a professor
of Social Work at Long Island University
in Brooklyn I was invited to attend an
event of Shabbos IDI at the zone and it
was such an amazing experience from
beginning to end
my name is Sora Levithan ski my family
had the unique opportunity to spend Rosh
Hashanah thisone for a number of years
it was a very unique and special
experience for all of us by way of
introduction my name is minashi Miller I
had the opportunity to spend Shabbos
Hanukkah with my entire family at the
remarkable zone who risk in the previous
two years I had spent Shabbos Hanukkah
overseas with the United States Air
Force and Iraq and Qatar and all you did
I graciously took this opportunity and
in my wildest dreams couldn't have
imagined how great of a Shabbos would
have been just from the moment you
walked in the the atmosphere from the
physical atmosphere to the atmosphere of
the people was it was just outstanding
whoever did something that I believe is
unique and something that really nobody
else has ever done they effectively
brought together two different worlds
there were many people there that were
experiencing their first Rosh Hashanah
never having experienced it in its full
environment of Torah of Fela of pseudo
sand meals in the way that we know was
meant to be and there were many others
there that were born from had the
opportunity and benefit of a strong
terror education and we were all brought
together for one purpose in one goal of
growing in terror together it was so
moving to see everybody go from being
just strangers to being friends and and
connected in such a special way it
really moves me here I was coming to
their Shabbos at the zone to give his
ook and it's done I walked away my
family and I we walked away totally my
cousin being in a Chaba zone is
incredible people come up on Friday and
you see them and they look very ordinary
then through that or journey over
Shabbos when we come to reflections at
the end of the event and people say what
they've done and how they've changed
over Shabbos it's amazing for me and my
family
there was a four-hour journey from
Lakewood up to the mountains but for
these were campers it's a uber journey
for life
what Rosh Hashanah at the zone taught me
is that the or journey is not just about
a camp it's not just about a young tip
it's not just about building a Sukkah
it's that the word journey is about the
Torah way of life
walking down this road on my journey
through life I don't know which way to
turn
or which path is right
the distance the darkness seems to pie
journeys not so far cuz the truth is in
my heart I know that I
I know that I'm right at home here in
the zone I'll reach my destiny
on my journey to eternity
