MEETING A LOCAL IN BAHRAIN (Loay Al-Shareef)

louie is coming to pick me up right now i've been speaking to him for [Music] six or seven months over the phone but we've never met so it's very exciting get to meet a friend okay so louie is waiting stuff like that and by the way this is a very special rock from mount uh mountain of lowe's in saudi arabia where they say that some people say that where anyway it's a very special mountain in saudi arabia and this is from new zealand so and this is from yamaha okay and this is where i write my goals and i write my plans and everything so can you explain what what you have here and something written in hebrew something very ah hebrew it's like these are the two sets that i need to finish by 2020. two sets that i need to finish so i can uh get uh to hebrew academic method in charlotte kitchen it's a bit lousy and this is the real thing now this is my library welcome to my library so as you see i have an office of course where i work for my academy in manama but this is my home office you can see it's very lousy so books and uh office on the same spot so for books i um categorize them by uh interest so this is islam is that the mecca clock tower up there yeah that's the mecca clock tower okay this is the uh right and these are one of the masjids or mosques in the city of the prophet thanks for salaam vs the house of the two directions that's literally what it means anyway so these are books and these are books for history so i love history as well you see there are mixed history arabic english and stuff like that and this is the general and also we have movies here my latest movies and some action figures and stuff and here here's the real thing here is the jewish i call it the uh the uh the corner of israel this is the israeli corner you see books for learning hebrew and stuff like that so this is this is the hebrew library of bahrain yeah maybe you never know but uh yeah i would call it my hebrew library in bahrain so uh hebrew learning books and hebrew and books about the jews as well some of them in english some the majority in arabic and some of them in hebrew as well so one of the interesting books that i want you to know okay the torah has like five six books five this is the uh uh the hebrew bible you read this yes and this is the torah interpreted by rabbi [Music] he is a very good he's the first one who translated torah to arabic this is exodus in hebrew it's shmot right that's right right exodus genesis genesis exodus leviticus deuteronomy and numbers or numbers and deuteronomy it's biblical hebrew so instead of saying ani i say instead of saying eretz you say ars see so this is the biblical hebrew yeah and my favorite of all time rabbi moshe in my moon so this is the book definitely it's in hebrew uh uh uh um i don't know it's called and also the the other book for rambam is uh where is it the guide for the perplexed it's a very nice book and uh you see other books in hebrew uh like yusifus the history of the antiquities of the jews well i see some other interesting books down here that i didn't notice before yeah like this one the guide to serving god yeah the guide to serving god i bought this from brooklyn eichler's right yeah turn around let's see if they see the sticker in the back oh it's not on this but this one had it purity of speech ah yeah the purity of speech yeah this one is from the uh brooklyn uh brooklyn uh library yeah and it's uh that is i mean let's see the front cover of the book it's right who would believe it in bahrain what a world we live in today so this is the syriac the hebrew the islam and the history this is my area of interest and i'm an engineer just use engineer informatique so this is my software engineering branch this is the software engineering so i have lots of books here in engineering and in self-development and yeah so uh i'm gonna i'm gonna soon teach basic software engineering and basic algorithms and some computer science fundament uh some computer science uh fundamentals insha allah very soon in my academy but you know i just need more than 24 hours a day i hope that god help me in trouble so this is and this is like because i i um uh i film so this is like my film and my equipment for filming audio stuff like that so many things here so this is my small library and here where the magic happens here right here when i work i do all the things here it's a bit lousy i know but you know i'm trying to organize it every now and then you don't want to see how this looked like seven months ago it was disastrous but this is my small branch the main branch is in kuwait and this is the second branch okay well it is very beautiful and big which one five got oh that's an american chain yeah very successful okay so really pretty place actually really nice mall filled with saudis masha allah the food smells good but i can't have any which is always a challenge very soon i'm looking forward to a good kosher burger place somewhere in this mall it would be a wonderful thing and uh i believe it can happen in the next five years huh that would be fun [Music] check out the mannequins in bahrain oh yeah one day i'm gonna come here next
