okay guys rosh hashanah starting in a
minute or two
wanted to wish you all a happy healthy
sweet new year and um that's it
we'll see you in 48 hours
wow what a special
holiday we have what a wonderful rosh
hashanah
there was a lot of prayer a lot of
singing a lot of dancing
it was really really very special
and
now i'm going out into the streets a
little bit to see what's going on
okay so the second the holiday is over
people run out of the streets
immediately a lot of people leave back
to home they go either to israel or the
united states so you're gonna be seeing
people's suitcases all these shops and
stalls open up and they start selling
all sorts of junk or whatever
take a look
[Music]
jewelry for women because most of the
men here
did not come with their wives
[Music]
okay so there's this massive concert
in a tent only a few feet away and uh
there's many singers from the united
states and israel hasidic singers who
come to man for ashoshan who are
performing there i'm gonna be going
backstage in a couple minutes to show
you what it's like
uh inside
[Music]
oh
[Music]
oh
[Music]
oh
[Applause]
[Music]
um
[Music]
[Applause]
hello
how's business
uh it looks pretty good it looks pretty
good for the best
good food yeah okay
so this is a little pop-up uh
i would call it a restaurant kitchen
where you can buy sandwiches whatever
grilled chicken etc
we are starving tomorrow is a fast day
we have to fast for religious reasons so
we're
filling up before the fast start
so this is a pop-up clinic that they
open every year and uh it's like a mini
hospital if anybody gets injured or
whatever let's go inside my friend runs
it
hello yo how are you good thank god how
are you
english please english yes okay english
is the soil hello
the
end of the
man clinic
look at all the medications they have
and
all the gear
serious business
all this is set up just for a few days
every year and then it all shuts down
until next year
what should i tell you this is our
medicine
to put together these medicines and put
together the equipment
this is basically what's the leftovers
from the medications that was here and
basically we were finishing wrapping it
up
and
[Music]
to put together just to think of every
type of medicine every type of equipment
that we might need that you know
it's something it's a lot it's a few
months of work
of
figuring out putting it together and
getting holding it and how much how much
of the medicine would you say was used
from the supplies this is about i think
again medicine you never know what you
need so you have to be prepared for a
lot more but uh
obviously i you know this is less just
let definitely less than 50 of what was
brought in was left over oh wow and then
next year we'll have to start all over
again because most medications expire
anyhow within the next within the year
so for next year talking about you're
resupplying almost all the medication
that you have well how much money worth
of medication you think there is here
there's definitely yeah
i believe 50 60 000 worth of medication
is equipment a lot of visitors
locations have equipment
yeah you know we do casting here we do
you know whatever
surgical equipment on top
we have anything obviously all the
intervenous medications
then you have
medications according to different
things and uh yeah that's uh we have
children for this this is
this corner is all the chipman
medication for children the syrups
and uh
and who's pays for this
this is all
we gotta put it together from the people
so it's community funded community fund
there's no uh there's no organization
backing this as an organization very
nice thank you
so
you are
not mclaren you are a nurse here
i'm a medic medic oh sorry it's
offensive
medic is way higher than a nurse okay
so what can you tell me about the clinic
and what happens here
the clinic here i'm sorry i'm sorry it's
coming back
oh
okay
the clinic is made for
thousands of people who come here to
women
that
if they need any medical treatment
everyone
can come here and get the treatment for
free
that's very nice
which we'll hear every everything that
emergency room can see
from wounds
sickness burns
broken bones cuts do you have any cover
cases here yes we had a few colored
cases and
we had like a small hotel a small
apartment that we sent there in over
there
very few to be acquired okay and um how
many people do you think were treated in
this clinic throughout rosh hashanah
in total
this year
i believe about 3 000 people went
through this clinic some came a few
times for example those people that had
uh asthma problems
that they
they
they take it for
with them for a few days so they come
here
two times sometimes one time two times a
day to get the
oxygen or nebulizer whatever they have
but
i think about uh
that we saw here but uh three thousand
people were still open until after after
shabbos wow and how many how many people
are working here in the clinic
we have here
the staff is about 12 people
24 hours a day 24 hours a day we have
six doctors and
nurses and paramedics they have one
volunteers emts that help us and you all
came in from all over the world to be
here special for russia yes most of the
people that work here are from israel we
have your doctors the non-jews
that they work on
without any halal problems
and then we have doctors that come from
the united states
thank you so much for your service and i
hope next year everyone will be healthy
