[Music] [Applause] pap [Music] good morning from MetLife Stadium in Meadowlands New Jersey I'm here today not to attend the sports game but rather to spread Jewish Pride outside because the Jewish people have gone through some very rough weeks recently with the Hamas attack on Israel and we are here to spread Jewish Pride during this difficult time so this here is called the tailgate it's where fans of the football teams get together in the parking lot of the stadium before the game and they make barbecues out of the trunks of their cars and they drink beer and eat and have a good time I'm coming here today to spend time with kabad of the Meadowland who sets up their own kosher tailgate and spreads Jewish Pride to the fans who are here for this game today okay I'm about to roll up on them here we go good morning rabbi good morning how are you good how are you good thank God what's going on uh well welcome to kabad of the metal lands okay what are we doing today this is a tailgate it's a uh an American Experience for the football game they come here hours before 5 6 hours before and they [Music] so what are you doing now we're going around to the individual parties over here people set up outside their car and uh we asked them just like this excuse me anyone here Jewish no no all right guys the game Rabbi tell me who you are and what you're here to do my name is robbi Fran Balter I live currently in East Rutherford and we are here outside MetLife Stadium where before every home game we set up a tailgate and we try to find every Jew and do a MIT fo with them before the football game which is a few hours and it and exciting in and of itself fans really want to get in the mood so they show up up to 5 hours before here in New York and they get in the mood andish we say they foring they sit they set up a barbecue they drink they shmoo they get together with their friends and they talk and they get in the right frame of mind so you guys have a kosher tailgate and you also offer people opportunity to do Mitzvah here at the stadium before after and during the game exactly it's really that simple we set up a barbecue we have places for people to sit we set up fillan Mitzvah and um we're here we're just a a rabbi and a small synagogue at the stadium morning morning morning morning say God how are you good morning morning morning good morning morning we got some people like you know have um the the strings it's called Ti yes yes yes um and I was like I didn't I just wanted to know like why I wanted to know more I'm standing here in the parking lot this do like uh what I just did I saw you I recognized you and I came up and said hi yeah we need more people talking to each other and just seeing the basic Humanity in each other right cheers to that find some people to put on to filling let's do [Music] it so right now we're inside the stadium and the goal is to find one person one shw at least to put on smland in the stadium at the game all right let's do [Music] it [Music] it wasn't easy but the rabbi made it happen check this [Music] out we're going through a difficult time but we're always going to try to bring light in this world I'm so obviously there's a lot of money that goes into this you have to rent the van every week There's a barbecue you're giving out free food and beers and there's Transportation costs Etc who pays for all this so people that come by and put on often times contribute I do try to find donors people to dedicate one game at a time um if it's teams that they like sometimes that's when they'll sponsor and Merit of a loved one or just for any other reason to try to sponsor the mitzah that go on here so if somebody wants to donate or support kabad of the Meadowlands to help these kosher tailgates
