hello and welcome back to my channel
the video i'm going to share with you
today is from my time in iraqi kurdistan
after spending time at a refugee camp
where we met with men women and children
displaced people and even some former
isis members
we tried to go to the town of al-qash
where a great jewish prophet is buried
the prophet
once we arrived at the gates of the town
they did not allow us inside
because they said it was after dark and
strangers are not allowed in after dark
so they told us to come back the next
day which caused us to stay at a local
hotel
nearby in a city called dohak take a
look
hello
okay so we are here somewhere on the
side of the road
on the way to al kosh and uh there are a
couple chickens tied to a box
with somebody selling chickens here
shaking the ducks
and across the street we have a little
market here they're selling fruits and
vegetables
so this is a room tour of the hotel and
dock
this is the bathroom
nice big shower
clean sealed toilet
and this is the room
even nicer than our other hotel in erbil
good morning from tohoku iraq doha
iraq i can't even say this word i'm told
overtired completely overtired
we got him last night at like 6 p.m we
were very tired so we took naps to like
9 00 pm
and then we were up all night we had a
six hour dinner we'll talk about that
another time
and now it's after 1 pm we just got up
and we are
running out of the hotel so don't have
much time to talk but
we'll explain everything as time goes on
we have some trips today
we're gonna finish we're gonna try to
finish what we couldn't do yesterday
in iraq but before we leave can we talk
about this view for a second check this
out
we have beautiful mountains and a
town seems very peaceful but we haven't
been outside much
and it is as i said a little bit after 1
p.m we are ready to leave
and we are on the 16th floor of our
hotel so this is the hotel
hallway leading to the rooms there's all
these photos portraits of
what i guess are local people
specifically women i think anyway
uh it's weird because i'm giving you
like a reverse hotel tour
meaning the morning we wake up i'm
showing you around because at night
we're busy with all sorts of other stuff
so this is the hotel lobby in doha
before we check out i want to show you
guys around look at this
this place is gorgeous
and i'm about to take you into the hotel
uh
conference room business center check
this out
as you can see iraq has gorgeous hotels
i wouldn't say all of them are like this
but the one we stayed at
really nice now we're going to head out
um basically yesterday we tried to go to
alkosh
which is uh there's a jewish heritage
site over there
the prophet noah was buried there and
they wouldn't allow us in after dark
because we weren't locals and so we're
going to try to do that today
and we also tried to go to garam
mountain
which is uh where one of where saddam
hussein had one of his palaces
but we couldn't do that because
it was there's no electricity there and
it would be late at night and be really
dark so we're trying to do that today as
well
and it's already quite late sundown is
in less than four hours
but hopefully we'll be able to get some
stuff done so
our cars here in front of the hotel
we got the holiday tree because this is
a uh
very pluralistic country their security
at this hotel is very very tight check
it out
this is a security booth there's a
there's a wall for cars so they
shouldn't
be able to ram through here we have this
concrete barrier
that separates us from the road which
also supposed to add to security
and there are soldiers all over the
place armed people
who work at the hotel making sure that
all the guests are secure you have to go
through a metal detector
when you walk into the lobby so once
again security is a very very big
priority over here yeah so we just left
the hotel
and we're on the way to nabi napo and i
am about to eat breakfast let's see what
i have
we are here by kaivan nukham hanavi
in alkashirak we're in this old ancient
place
and this is where the maseiva is this is
there are some hebrew inscriptions on
the walls i'm going to try to show you
some of them
we're now on the roof of the
tomb and yeah that's that
thank you hashem for allowing us to come
here most people will not make it here
unfortunately due to the circumstances
but uh we're lucky thank you
we just left the tomb the kaiba of
iraq we hope our prayers are gonna be
accepted
and uh let's move on
