Shlissel Shabbos part 1

Story time this week is something called Shabas, which I'll explain. There's a lot of theories out there why Jews make money. Um, some people think it's because we have a good education system. Some people think it's because we're very family oriented. Some people think it's like persecution, so it's survival of the fittest. And the most successful ones made it out. None of those are true. It's because once a year the Shabas after Pesak, we put the key to our house in the kala dough and bake the kala and then eat the kala. And that's what gives us all our money. I grew up in a rabbi's house. So, everyone in the community used to bake us our send it to our house. My dad would cut one open. We'd all get a piece and then we'd be like, "Oh, who got the key? Go look around the table." No one got the key. Until we realized the one-year-old swallowed the key. Then every year we'd had to spend the next 3 weeks going through the diaper of whatever one-year-old was at the table because Mrs. Kimmel used the only key to her house and the she hasn't been able to get into her home because her key is in some baby's stomach. The fun part about is that I had the keys to everyone's house in the entire community. So whenever a missionary would come to my house, whoever had pissed me off the most recently, I go grab their key and I would give it to the missionary and say 12:50 Winre. They eat dinner around 7:00. Just go. They would love to hear about Jesus. Go talk to them.
