You know, we always need two forms of
two forms of a of health. Mashem, health
of the body, of course, it's the things
that we always think about, but also
health of the soul. Uh because sometimes
you have a uh perfectly healthy body,
but you're depressed.
You you're angry. you have all types of
bad feelings. You know, you wake up in
the morning, it's like night
all of a sudden nothing happened yet.
You already have a bad mood. So, people
need to understand that, you know, it's
very very important for us to connect to
Hashem in a very deep level, which we'll
talk about today. Uh in order for us to
wake up in a good mood, even just to
start off the day in a good way, we need
to be connected to Hashem. So that that
is why it says in the uh save and will
be save us and will be saved. Yeah. So
yeah.
Uh so the uh give you a small update on
uh the last couple of weeks. We were in
Los Angeles. A lot of lectures. We had
lectures every single night. Uh I only
recorded a few of them but uh one of the
lectures which I wish I would have
recorded. Uh I had a uh plan of what the
shure that I was going to have was a uh
private sh for one of these uh a really
really nice family in uh Beverly Hills.
And uh the the funny thing is that you
know I tell this to myself all the time.
Why do I even bother trying to prepare
for anything? Because as soon as you get
there, Hashem gives you the words. As
soon as you get to a place, Hashem tells
you what to say. So I at for the first
time I actually prepared a shior. I
said, "Oh, you know what? I'm going to
have the shore. I'm going to, you know,
it's going to be a really interesting
topic." I get to the shore and uh they
say, "Oh, you know, we have a few
questions." So I start answering
questions. Next thing you know, it's an
hour into it already of answering
questions. So and I still didn't record
anything. So I said, "Okay, so I'm going
to start recording now. We'll start the
show." Like, "Oh, no. There's one more
question. One more question." Another
hour passes. Now I don't know. This the
shore started about 8:00 or 7:30 at
night. So I don't know how much time I
have. You know, usually two hours is the
maximum that people can handle. Oh,
hash. Hashem gave me the strength. I
could go for a while, but I don't know
the crowd. People are tired and so on.
So, uh, so at 2 hours, I said, "Ah, it's
what I'm pressed the record button now.
Probably have maybe 15 more minutes
before we go home." Two and a half more
hours.
We had four and a half hour sh all
questions and answers. All questions and
answers. A really good sh uh had a lot
of fun with it. really righteous family
in Beverly Hills. Uh a lot of proofs, a
lot of different uh things that are
relevant to today. But well, all of
these things we've answered in the past,
we'll answer in the future. There's a
lot of interesting topics to talk about.
One of the most difficult things that uh
we see today is people have a difficult
time understanding Hashem.
Understanding him. Of course, we cannot
understand him like he really is.
Because if we were able to understand
them, just like the Rambam says, if I
was able to understand Hashem, I would
be him.
But understanding Hashem through his
work. Understanding Hashem through his
Torah. We know what Hashem is based on
his Torah. We know what he did. We know
how he acts. We know that he has measure
for measure. We know he's righteous. We
know that he's kind. We know all of his
midot based on what he's done. That's
the history.
And we also know based on what he says
about himself.
So when he says my thoughts are not your
thoughts, we should never assume that we
can think like he can. This is the
reason why sometimes when we're looking
for salvation from Hashem, we're looking
for help from Hashem and we try to give
Hashem ideas. Hashem, make me uh, you
know, win the lotto and that's the way
I'm going to solve my problems. Hashem,
give me a uh this specific person as I
and that's going to solve my problems.
Hashem, give me a child to, you know,
this year. You know, I love this when I
hear people say, you know, may you have
a kid this year. What? Whatever Hashem
decides, he'll give you a kid. Not only
that, I say, may you have a boy this
year. Okay. Why? No good. Fine. Whatever
Hashem wants, I'll give you. What are
you demanding for? Who are you to
demand? But that's the thing. That's
it's a lack of understanding. It's
nothing nothing bad about anybody. It's
lack of understanding of the midot of
Hashem.
In order for us to understand the mid of
Hashem, we truly have to dig deep down
inside of Tawah and uh and truly
understand what he's saying every single
word. And uh that's one of the things
that I saw in Los Angeles, a lot of
people that are looking for uh you know
the understanding. They're looking for
answers because all of us have different
problems whether it's health problems or
money problems or marriage problems or
any type of other problems that people
have. And when you're not really making
Hashem as a permanent part of your
daytoday life, it is very very difficult
and pretty much impossible to deal with
those problems in a rational and
positive way. It's impossible because
what happens is that something happens
and immediately they think it's bad luck
or they immediately they think it's
somebody else's fault. Immediately they
look at everything else of what caused
this problem instead of looking at
Hashem and saying, "Oh, Hashem, you've
sent me this for a reason." It's
impossible to contribute anything to
Hashem without Hashem being in your mind
at all times. So this is one of the main
reasons why studying a little bit of
Torah every single day or a lot of Torah
depending on how much somebody uh can do
every day is necessary. It's food for
the soul, but it's also keeps you
connected to Hashem. As far as the
ideas, I've said this joke before, but
it's very it's it's funny, but it's also
very relevant. There was one time a um
you know the a person that was selling
uh uh um
alcohol, different types of alcohol,
different types of liquor and uh hit
hard times
and uh his mom would pray for him every
day. Said, "Hashem, I hear that lawyers
make a lot of money. Make my son a
lawyer. She's praying every day. Every
day make my son a lawyer. you know,
son's not going to wake up one day
become a lawyer.
One day he gets a letter from the IRS.
They say, "Listen, if you don't come up
with a, you know, certain amount of
money within uh the next 30 days, that's
it. We're uh taking you and all your
family, we're arresting them." And in
those days, they could even give you
death penalty just for owing money to
the government. It's not like today
where the IRS sends you letters for 500
years before they even do anything. You
know, back then, they had no mercy.
So the mother is praying, praying,
praying every day. Hashem, make my son a
lawyer. Make my son a lawyer. Make my
son a lawyer. A week, two weeks pass,
nothing happens. So then she hears from
her friends that doctors also make a lot
of money. She says, Hashem, make my son
a doctor. Maybe it's easier. Hashem,
make my son a doctor. Every day pray
from morning to night. She prays,
"Hashem, make my son a doctor."
That didn't happen either. One day,
somebody shows up at the door and uh
the person who answers the door, how can
I help you? He says, "Dad, listen. I'm
here from out of town. I heard that
you're the one that makes uh beer and I
want to buy some beer from you." He
says, "I'm sorry, I don't have," you
know, cuz he didn't have he didn't have
any money to buy goods. Didn't have
money to do anything. He goes, "Okay,
okay. I know you Jews. Uh every time you
say you don't have, that just means you
want more money. Fine. I'll pay you $100
for the beer for a cup. I'm sorry. I
don't have I don't have. Okay, fine. Why
don't you say so? $300 for one cup. I
don't have I don't have. I really don't
have. Okay, $500 I'm giving to you right
now. He starts taking the money out.
He's counting the money. $500 for a cup.
And this guy, this poor guy doesn't have
any money. He's so excited about seeing
this $500. He goes, I don't know. Maybe
Hashem is going to have mercy on me. I
don't know what to do. He takes the
$500. He goes downstairs to his
basement. And he sees the only thing he
has is one of the u um
uh things with, you know, with the uh
with the wheat on on the bottom, the
yeast on the bottom. And that's it.
There's nothing. There's no nothing. All
right. Let me take some of that. Put
some water in it and give it to him. You
know, maybe Hashem will have mercy on
me.
So that's what he does. takes a cup,
puts a little wheat that he has on the
bottom of the barrel, puts some water in
it, regular water, and gives it to the
guy. He takes it to the guy, and he's
closing his eyes like this.
The guy drinks it. Wow.
Why didn't you say so? I knew you had
it. I knew it. What? This is the best
beer. I've traveled all over the world.
Best beer I've ever had. This is
amazing. He's complimenting him from
here to Chicago.
He says to him, "Listen, I'm a very
wealthy businessman from a different
city. I'm having a big party in three
months. I want a,000 barrels Mhm. of
this specific beer, and I'm willing to
pay you even $1,000
for a cup if you give me all of that for
each cup." So, each barrel is a lot of
money, making the guy multi-millionaire
overnight.
He calls one of his servants, "Here,
come." takes one of these uh bags, gives
him a bag of uh of money, he goes,
"Here's the deposit."
So, obviously the guy pays the bill. But
then the funny part of the story is that
the the mother sees her son, everything
got taken care of and she looks at
Hashem, she goes, "You know what,
Hashem? You did it this time. Even I
didn't think about this this idea." And
that's what happens sometimes. It's a uh
we think that we can give Hashem ideas
of how to save us. He doesn't think like
us. If it's our thought, he's probably
not going to use it. If especially if he
wants to make sure that you know it's
from him.
So the salvation that we're looking for
really we should focus on giving Hashem
a reason of why to give us salvation.
Doing mitzvah, doing something good,
connecting to him more. But even more
than that, praying for the salvation
itself. Not praying for how you're going
to do it. Oh, Hashem, do do this, this,
and this for me and then I'll do what
you want. No, just ask Hashem for help.
The more tears the better and Hashem
will help.
And this is one of the things that we
learn in this para that you have, you
know, every parad has to be something
relevant.
Every para has to be something relevant.
This entire para
para is about making the special
vestments, the special garments that
they were making for the kohanim, for
the kohad that had eight garments and
for the regular kanim uh four garments.
And it goes into the intricate details
of how Hashem is commanding Mosheu to
make these garments himself
and not only make them but also dress
the kanim. So imagine the biggest rabbi
in history, the biggest prophet in
history, most righteous person, the per
the only person in history to ever speak
to Hashem face to face is not only
commanded to make these garments
himself, but he's also commanded to
actually put them on each one of these
people. Of course, these people are his
family, but still putting underwear on
someone, putting the hat on someone,
it's not usually what we would think of
as a respectful job. But this also
teaches us the uh the element of the
characteristic of humility that Moshe
had where for him if it made Hashem
happy that's all he cared about. He
didn't care about what would people
think. I'm putting underwear on someone.
I'm putting a hat on someone. I'm
putting this thing on him. I'm making it
instead of learning to making these
garments. What people think of me.
Some people say, you know, every time
you do somebody a favor, maybe you
should have done something else. You
know, it's nonsense.
The reality of it is that you have to
think before you do anything. What is
what is the will of Hashem? What's his
will? And if you're doing his will,
he will do your will. Just take care of
whatnot says, make his will into your
will and he will make your will into his
will. And that's what we can learn from
Mosheu where his his uh gava was
non-existent. He was the humblest man of
all time. No one was more humble than
Moshe. No one ever will be more humble
than Moshe. And at the very same time,
he's the most significant person in
history.
So imagine that the most significant
person in history thinks he's smaller
than anything else.
We regular people are the opposite. We
think we're here and we're really here.
So this is a very very good reminder for
us to to learn from the
Now one of the other things is that it
says here we went over some of this last
night but we'll go over some more
details today. It says
oh I'm sorry this is um
So it says, "Now you shall command the
children of Israel that they shall take
for you clear olive oil crushed for
illumination to kindle a lamp
continually." So first and foremost is
that he's telling Moshe Rabenu that uh
to get very very pure, very clear
olive oil. There cannot be any of the
remnants of the olive because just like
Am cannot mix with the goim. The oil
cannot mix with anything that's not pure
100%. Has to be a very special oil. In
this particular case, Kazal says since
there was no olive trees in the middle
of the desert, they actually had to use
the olives that they had from Egypt. But
during the times when they actually went
to um uh into Israel and they had olives
over the olive trees over there, they
would use uh a purified olive oil. So
this decree is in essence eternal.
Anytime we have a uh tabernacle and a
Mishkan and so on. After this hem is
telling him in verse um 281
It says, "Now you," which is referring
to Mosheu, "brr near to yourself,
your brother, and his sons with him from
among the children of Israel, Aon, Adav,
and Duazal and the sons of Aon." So in
essence what he's telling him is that in
order for you to get closer to me this
is bring near to yourself comes from the
word which means closer. In order for
you to bring yourselves as a nation and
as individuals closer to me you have to
do something.
There's no such thing as being a
righteous person in our heart.
There's a Mishna that says
it's there's no such thing as a
righteous person that doesn't know Torah
cannot cannot be this person that does
not know Torah cannot be righteous
impossible. So you could say no no but I
have a friend he's such a kind person
he's so nice he's so this yes that's the
part you see there are probably many
many things that he does or she does
that's 100% against the Torah. So
righteousness is not determined by our
lo logic. It's determined by Hashem, the
creator, the one that gave us the
instructions. He determines what's
righteous, what's not.
But more most importantly in today's
age, we see and we've talked about this
before is that there are many people
that uh unfortunately have an
understanding that their logic is
superior to Hashem's logic.
And this is the reason why they choose
that they're not going to follow what
Hashem says. They're not going to do
what the instructions say. They're uh
they're going to uh use their logic and
say, "If I'm a good person, I don't hurt
anyone. I don't murder anyone.
Why should anything bad happen to me?"
Now, most pets also don't murder people,
whether it's dogs or it's cats. Most
pets also, you know, the fish you have
in a tank, they also don't steal from
people. They also don't do anything bad.
So, you're saying that that's enough.
That means that the fish, the pet fish
that he bought for a dollar from the
fish store should also have should also
have a uh heaven. So, you and the fish
are going to be in the same heaven.
That's not logical. Sometimes people get
to such a point where they're so
disconnected from Torah and I can
remember this for myself that they start
treating their pets like humans and even
superior to humans. It's very easy to
treat your dog better than people
because in me in in many cases dogs are
better than most people.
But at the same token, your dog does not
have a lot of
your dog is not a righteous person. He's
a dog. He's a servant of of man. You can
use it for a lot of good things. You
know, the the dog in in Hebrew it's it's
called kev which um comes from the uh
one of the things that it symbolizes in
that word is kov kv meaning he's is the
entire dog is heart because a dog is a
very uh very um uh dedicated animal and
a very loving animal. But again at the
same token when people say no no I don't
think there's that much I think that
animals are better than humans. I
actually heard this one time from a uh
from someone. Uh he said, "No, you know
what? I actually think that animals are
uh you know, better than humans or at
least the same."
Now, at the time, I didn't really think
about this, but later on uh I realized
that there's no possible way that anyone
in the world could actually think that.
Even the person that says it, even
people that work for these organizations
where they spend their life and millions
of dollars trying to do these campaigns
to raise money for this to save a
dolphin or to save a chimpanzee or to
save this rare breed of some, you know,
weird animal that uh they they like. And
it's literally millions and millions. I
get emails every single day from these
campaigns. They want me to vote for
this, vote for this, raise money for
this, raise money for that. But none of
it is for poor people. It's all for
saving animals. Save the butterfly.
Well, we ran out of people. We We can't
can't help people. This is millions of
dollars. But this is because people are
very very distant from the instructions.
And what ends up happening is that they
start treating their pets better than
humans. But in reality, there's no way
for them
to actually believe what they're saying.
Why? Because you're never going to act
like your pet. Your pet walks around
naked. You're not going to walk around
naked.
Your pet eats from a bowl. You're not
going to eat from a bowl from the floor.
Your pet, you know, if you take your dog
outside, if he sees a bone that somebody
threw out in the middle of the street,
he's going to start eating it. You're
not going to do that. Why? You're the
same. If you're the same, if you think
that dogs are the same thing as humans,
if you think that monkeys are the same
thing as humans, why don't you act like
them? Why don't you walk around naked,
eat a banana, throw stuff around? Why?
Oh, no, but I'm human. Oh, so obviously
you see
there's a difference,
you may like him better than your
friends. That means you should get
better friends. It doesn't necessarily
mean that he's the same as you.
Going back to the issue at hand here is
that in order for us to not get to that
level of mentality where we're so far
from the instructions,
Hashem is giving us very very specific
instructions of how to stay close. You
have to do something.
Bring it closer to you. Do something. Do
something about it. You can't just say,
"I believe Hashem in my heart and that's
it." You have to do something. You know,
if you really believe that Hashem is
Hashem, meaning the same Hashem that's
in the in in the Torah, then that means
he's Hashem all the time. He's not
Hashem sometimes. He's not God
sometimes. If it's if it's the real God,
he's God all the time. He's almighty. He
was here before us. He's going to be
here after us. He has no concept of
time. He's not limited to time. He's not
limited to space. He's above everything.
So if you truly believe in the very same
Hashem that's in a Torah, then that
means that you should see what he says.
And he says, "You have to do something
in order to show that you believe in
me."
One of the most difficult things that we
have today in dealing with the
day-to-day problems and that all of us
have is having
confidence in Hashem. We are constantly
just like this old lady was doubting
Hashem. Maybe he's going to make the son
a doctor. Maybe he's going to make him a
lawyer. And to her surprise, Hashem
didn't do either one of them and still
gave better salvation than she could
ever think. We do the same thing as her.
So even though the story itself is
funny, in reality we're the same thing.
We're constantly doubting Hashem of
whether he can do this or he can do
that. If we didn't have any doubts in
Hashem,
we would never worry.
We would never be upset.
You never think, oh, I'm going to pay
the rent this month. The the bank
account has negative 100. The rent is
positive 4,000.
We have a difference of 4,100 here.
You're never going to think about that.
Why? Because it says in now
I was young, I was old, now I'm old and
I've never seen a righteous person, you
know, begging.
Now, if you're obviously if you believe
in Hashem, then your main goal in life
is to be a righteous person.
Whether you're Jewish or you're a Noah
highly irrelevant. You're complying with
the Torah, that means that your main
goal in life is to be a righteous
person. Hashem is saying he's never
going to let a righteous person
starve and beg. So, so what's happening
here? What's happening here?
The problem is is that for most of us,
we have doubts about Hashem. We have
doubts of his capabilities. We have
doubts of his abilities. And we have a
very very difficult time to trust in
what Hashem said and what uh what he can
do. So, is a very very important thing
that we that we need to develop. And
there's a few things that the and a few
other sources that we'll mention now
talk about. The first Psalm one says
one of the most righteous people in
history. The one whose descendants
is going to be the Mashiach himself. The
Mashiach will uh by the way the uh
secret part of the Torah says the
Mashiach will have part of his soul is
going to come from David and part of his
soul is going to come from Mosherenu.
It's going to be the ultimate being
uh obviously other than Hashem but you
know human being
but the vid the righteous is saying
praiseworthy you know how happy is the
person
who trust in Hashem
how happy is he
why why is he so happy because he's
telling you here if the person got to a
point already to a level where he
already has bet in hem. He already has
confidence in Hashem. That has to mean
that he's connected to Hashem.
Can't just have confidence in Hashem and
not worry about pan, not worry about
whether the kids are going to be in the
right school, the wrong school or if the
uh if it's the right uh partner, it's
the wrong partner, it's the right deal,
it's the wrong deal. You can't have that
confidence in Hashem that he's doing all
of this without being connected to him.
And if you're connected to Hashem, then
you're following exactly what this verse
says.
You're close to Hashem. Hashem is a
permanent part of your life. You cannot
build confidence in Hashem
without those two steps. First, you have
to do something about it. Then you have
to make by doing something about you're
making in essence as a result of that
you're making Hashem a per permanent
part of your life. And the outcome of it
is that you could build beton. you could
build confidence in Hashem. And David,
the most righteous person in his
generation and one of the most righteous
in history, one that was glued to
Hashem, he's telling you how happy, how
happy is the person, how praiseworthy is
the person that got to a point where he
actually has he actually has the
confidence in Hashem.
In
page 9b,
it says something very interesting. It
says, "Anyone who has confidence in
Hashem
will have protection
both in this world and the next.
So now, not only were you
in a very good situation where the fact
that you actually have confidence in
Hashem gives you fulfillment, gives you
happiness, gives you pretty much
confidence to do whatever whatever needs
to happen. You need to go buy groceries.
You're not even looking how much money
you have in the bank because you know
that Hashem knows that it's Shabbat. You
need to get food for your family. You're
not worried about what what's in the
bank. You're going, you're buying
whatever you want, whatever your family
desires. And you know that just as the
says that Hashem provides your from
that he gives you
is not include
the money that you're going to spend on
and the money that you're going to spend
on.
This is both in
and
sh the they say that the the person is
decided and determined on Shah until
Shah
but it does not include what he's going
to spend on staka and what he's going to
spend on
holidays and Shabbat.
So a smart person would say, "Wait a
minute. So every time I spend money on
Shabbat or every time I give, Hashem is
telling me it's not included in the
$100,000 that he guaranteed me this
year. Already decided in in O decided
that I'm going to get $100,000 this
year. So if I spend
$300 on Shabbat for Shabbat shopping, if
I spend $1,000 for
if I spend, you know, another couple of
thousand preparing for for uh for the
holidays, that's not included. that's
not deducted from the $100,000. So, a
smart person, a clever person, what do
you would do? Give as much of it as
possible. Give as much as possible.
Obviously, logically, you know, there's
also about how to give staka. You can't
give it to people you don't know. You
can't give it to just somebody just
because they look righteous, you know,
cuz even Osam Ban, you put a black hat
on him and they suit, he also would look
righteous. So, you have to know these
people. You have to know what the money
is going to. Just like you investigate
an investment before you buy a building,
before you buy a business, before you
buy a stock, before you buy a currency,
you investigate. You do research. You
have to investigate these people. What
are they doing with the money?
And also, you're limited to a certain
percentage of your income of how much
you're allowed to give. Unless you have
millions and millions of dollars, you're
a normal person, normal income, you're
limited to how much you can give.
I believe it's 25% of your total uh that
you're allowed to give. But in general
the the recommended amount is to give ma
which is 10% of your net income which is
after expenses and staka is separate.
But either way you have to investigate.
But Hashem is telling you whatever
you're going to spend on Shabbat don't
uh worry whether you're going to get
this brand of cookie or that brand of
cookie or whether you're going to get
the Gatorade or you're going to get the
Coca-Cola that's on sale. Hashem's
paying you back. He's guaranteeing to
paying you back.
One time the Balisento
saw he's one of the most righteous
people in the last few generations
and he um he saw a
worker carrying water
laboring very very hot very you know
very hot day and he sees him with a
smile and he ask him how are you doing
he says ohm everything is great happy,
you know, he's doing his job. 20 years
already, he works at this job. Very
difficult job, but he's as happy as can
be. Praises. Wow. The next day, the BF
sees the same person. Same thing he's
doing. Carrying the water. Same thing as
he did the day before and for every day
for the last 20 years.
How are you doing? He goes, "Ah, you
know,
I don't know why Hashem gave me this
punishment of a job that I have here for
20 years of carrying this water.
It's so difficult and it's so hot
outside and so much pressure and there's
not enough panas.
I don't know why Hashem did this to me.
I don't know what kind of sins I made.
So says, "Ah, now I understand."
See so happy and he's happy at my
misery. What's going on here?
Why you so happy this? Ah, no, no, you
actually helped me now finally
understand something I didn't understand
until today.
in the and
as we mentioned it says that Hashem
judges us based on our actions on Shah
and determines what we're going to get
as a until next year until the next Shah
but the Mishna which precedes which is
before the
says that Hashem judges us every day for
upon
so I always ask myself
if Hashem already decided
what he's going to give me on
why does he have to judge me every day
now I know it says that you know his
thoughts are not our thoughts but it
doesn't mean Hashem also says that he
doesn't change his mind
so what if uh if I did something bad to
the $100,000 he guaranteed to me is not
going to come no what happens
now you finally help me. How how did how
did I help you?
He says, even though Hashem decides on
what I'm going to get, he decide he
looks at me and evaluates me every day
based on my actions every day.
How he's going to give me the money, the
money, the amount of money is already
determined, but how he's going to give
me the money is determined based on my
actions every day.
If I had a good day full of mitzvot,
full of good things, is gonna come easy.
If I had a day full of
problems and things that are not exactly
what favorite in Hashem's eyes, panad
come in a very difficult way. Yesterday
your your pan came the same way. It came
to 20 years. Yesterday you were very
happy. Today you're not happy. Why?
Because every day we go to sleep. And
when we go to sleep, part of our soul
goes to shine and hears the news. The
soul is being judged in sham or it comes
to sham and says, "What did you do
today?" Not that they don't know, but
they still what what did you do today?
And the soul tells
the judges what it did.
They tell them, "Oh, based on what you
did, tomorrow is not going to be a good
day. Tomorrow the is not going to come
uh as easy as yesterday. Yesterday you
got a customer at 9:00 in the morning
you already made $1,000. Tomorrow at the
end of the day maybe you're going to get
$10.
This is the reason why sometimes we wake
up happy mood and sometimes we wake up
bad mood. Nothing happened yet. You just
woke up but all the you just woke up.
You're already mad at your wife. You
just woke up. You're already upset with
the kids. They didn't even do anything
yet. They're still sleeping.
They're still sleeping. The poor kids.
You just woke up. You want to kick your
dog. What do you do? The guy is
sleeping. What does he want? You're
already acting like it's night of a Why?
Because your soul knows today is not
going to be a good day.
Your soul knows, oh, yesterday I got,
you know, last night I got bad news.
Today is not going to be an easy day.
So, what does a clever person do once he
knows this?
when he wakes up with a bad mood, he has
to decide, do I make this again
tomorrow? Do I continue making more sins
and don't do chuva
and continue even another bad day
tomorrow, another bad day the next day,
and pretty much the rest of my life is
or I do chuva today. Today, Hashem, I
got the point. I'm in a bad mood. But
today I'm going to do everything I can
to not only accept what you give me with
love, but also to gather the diamonds.
Diamonds meet do as many as possible.
Why? Cuz I want a good day tomorrow.
So that's the m most important thing
that we have to understand that we wake
up in a certain way. It's not because
you slept on the wrong side like people
say you slept on the right side. I don't
even know what's the wrong side or the
wrong the right side. You slept with the
right, you know. Left hand, right hand,
all this. No, your soul knows. Your soul
knows and it knows based on your actions
previous
is going to come one way or another.
Whether you want or not, it was already
decided. How you're going to get it is
based on your actions.
So going back to the issue of of beton
by knowing all of this information
knowing that in order for us to have
beton we have to do something about it
it's very very important to understand
that there is a huge amount of reward
for having this not only a reward where
you have confidence that you know
everything's going to be okay no matter
what's happening that even the things
that look like they're the worst
disasters in the world are actually
things you have to have confidence in
Hashem in that it's actually for the
best.
By having that
the says you get even an extra reward.
What you get special protection from
Hashem in this world and the next you
have a special deal with them. You you
develop a special account with Hashem.
Everyone has a regular account. You
because you have because you have the
confidence that Hashem is who he says he
is.
As we've gone over, for that you have a
special account
in
it says
it says praiseworthy is the man
who puts his confidence in Hashem.
Now here we've gone even another level.
We already know that praiseworthy is the
man who puts confidence in hem from
has confidence in hem.
But he says not that has confidence in
Hashem. But he puts his confidence in
hem. Why? Where else could I put it? Put
it in human beings. Put it in our in
ourself. Put it in our boss. Put it in
luck in the lotto. in the psychic, in
the president, in the government, in the
stock market. There's a million and a
half places we can put our confidence
in. Sometimes people are so proud that
they think it's themselves.
They develop such pride that they think
it's their own brain and their own
beauty and their own ability that
actually got them the money. So he says,
"Praiseworthy is the man who knows
better and knows enough to put the
confidence in Hashem." Why is he so
praiseworthy? Why is he so praiseworthy?
In the book of Jeremiah verse 175,
thus said Hashem.
A means a cursed which is the worst
possible
curse
that's mentioned in the entire Torah.
Who else got the word a named after
them?
Who else? I'll give you guys a couple of
guesses. It's init.
Who got punished in in the beginning of
the Torah? Adam. Okay. But he still got
uh lived 930 years and he still did the
uh you know the father of mankind.
There's another two characters
kind. No, another two. Adam, Eve, Adam
and the snake. Serpent.
So Adam said when Hashem asked him what
did you do? He says no no it's because
of the wife you gave me and when he uh
when he asked the wife when he asked why
did you do no it's because of the
serpent because of the snake.
Now when he got to the snake he didn't
even ask him. No he didn't even ask him
what' you do. He said a
cursed you are.
You're cursed forever for eternity.
You're always going to be cursed. He
took away his, you know, the the uh the
serpent actually was supposed to be the
king of all the animals, not the lion.
The serpent also walked like a human
being in arms and legs
was a very very beautiful animal.
But he was also the the the satan
in the living.
Initially when Hashem created Adam and
Adam and they didn't have yet the was
outside but after the ish the the
incident with the snake the became
internal the the secret the mystical
part of the
mentions that the actually the uh the
serpent actually raped
and his seed
went inside her and from there it stayed
inside all of us in essence and that's
how the became went inside
human beings
this is again as much as I know about
the mystical part of the it sounds very
strange but nonetheless it says it by
very very holy people so we can rely on
it it's not something I'm making up or
anything uh but
Hashem punished this serpent taking him
from being the king taking him from
being the animal that can talk, taking
them from being something that's
beautiful and he cursed them and he said
it's a very very bad curse. There's also
and
mentions anyone that does the mitzvah of
Hashem will get all of these different
types of rewards, but anyone that goes
against it will get all of this type of
punishment. And the worst sins have this
exact word called meaning that they're
cursed. But we're cursed. Not cursed
like someone you know has bad language
like a truck driver but cursed from
Hashem. Hashem himself is cursing that
person. So in the book of Jeremiah verse
175 it says thus said Hashem
is the man who trust in people
and makes flesh and blood
his strength
and turns his heart away from Hashem.
Unfortunately, at some point of our
life, this verse applied to all of us.
The key of all of our shim and learning
to is for this to no longer apply to us.
All of us depended on some person at
some point. Whether it was our boss,
whether it was even our husband or our
wife for things or or or a uh child,
all types of things that we had too much
confidence in them. Oh, that's that's
gonna be my salvation. This kid, he's
going to put us in the map. You know, a
lot of a lot of uh especially in
America, a lot of parents, especially
ones that come from like blueco collar
jobs and places that are not exactly
very wealthy, you know, they put all of
their effort into one of their kids.
It's an athlete. So, one day you can go
into the NFL or the NBA or the Major
League Baseball and become millionaire
and that's going to be their salvation.
He's going to bring in the money. He's
going to take them out of the poor house
and he's going to save us all. Well,
many of them do, but at the end of the
day, those careers, first of all, very,
very short.
And second of all, none of it came from
the kid. It came from the creator. It's
just that people put that credit, gave
the kid the credit.
Uh maybe that's the reason why over 80%
of the athletes
uh that are out there declare bankruptcy
within four years of retirement. when I
was in the financial business, I
actually wrote an article about it
where uh it's a very very horrific
statistic
that uh over 80% of the athletes in the
NFL declare bankruptcy within a few
years of retiring. And I'm not talking
about people that just made $2 million.
Okay, $2 million is easy to lose. You
make a couple of bad deals, you bought a
house, went foreclosed, you lost the
money. Okay, you lost the money. talking
about people that made over $100
million. The kind of money that even if
you spend a few thousand every day, you
still can't run out of it.
But they go broke. Literally broke.
Broke worse than they were before they
got to the deed because now they have
debt. They're in negative balance. Maybe
that's the reason people put so much
confidence in them. They put so much
confidence in themselves. So much pride.
Hashem tells us what he does to people
that are proud.
In Proverbs 29:23,
Hashem says what he's going to do to
proud people.
The pride of man leads to his
embarrassment.
Someone is a very proud person, Hashem
is giving him a special deal. Just like
the person has confidence in Hashem, he
has special protection. Someone has too
much pride, he also has a special deal.
It's just a bad one. What is it? Hashem
is promising him to embarrass him. That
his ultimate destiny will be
embarrassment.
It also good to know that uh a sign of
gava, a sign of pride is when there is a
place, there's a city or a town that has
a lot of poverty.
A place such as this, it says the sages
say that's a place that has a lot that
carries a lot of pride. There's a lot of
pride in that area. You ask yourself,
how could this be? If they're poor, what
are they proud about?
Things weren't always that way.
So now on one hand we see from David
that having he's praising David is
praising whoever has confidence in
Hashem
on top of it the midash is telling us
that someone that has confidence in
Hashem
he's on top of the world but not only
because of the special deal that he has
with Hashem but also by having
confidence in Hashem He avoids the worst
curse in the Torah of being called from
hem. Not for me. Somebody said no one.
I'm telling you it's telling you that's
that's what's happening here.
There's another midash on Psalm 141.
King David says to Hashem,
"I don't have any good deeds,
but help me because I have confidence in
you."
In 141, this is what David says. I don't
have any good deeds.
But help me because I have confidence in
you. Now, I just said it and all of us
know
one of the most righteous people in the
world in history. Even the go
are uh praising uh David. Everyone knows
David was a righteous person. But he
himself
looked at himself like he's less than a
worm.
Except I'm not even a worm. A worm even
did more for you than I did.
So as you can see from
fromu
from the most significant people in
history the more significant they were
in every level not just not just the
closest to Hashem.
They had money they had power they had
everything you could possibly want but
they were glued to Hashem. The more
significant they were,
the more they viewed themselves as
nothing because they realized as a
result of them being glued to Hashem
that it all came from him. Nothing,
nothing, zero came from them. Nothing,
nothing comes from us. This is a very
very important for us lesson for us to
know every single day. Hashem only
allows us to go to work and feel like
we're making money, feel like we're
making the deal, feel like we're
choosing the right partner, feel like
we're doing anything in the world just
to give us, you know, some some level of
confidence, some level of independence.
In reality, he's doing 100% of the job.
You know, just like you had when you're
trying to teach a baby how to walk. You
know, you hold her up or you hold him up
and you walk with him. The baby thinks
they're really walking. They're so happy
that, you know, but in reality, you're
holding them up. This is Hashem.
This is what Hashem is doing for us
every single minute of our life. The
more we realize that everything comes
from him,
the easier it is going to be for us to
connect to him. The more we think it's
coming from us, the more disconnected we
are from him.
So even
is saying, "I don't have any good sins.
What did I do? I did a few mitzvot. What
did I do? I did a few mitzvah this that
based if you compare what I did in order
to I have to do it. I'm obligated
anyway. I'm obligated to do all these
mitzvah. Not like you could say I'm
doing anything special. You tell me it's
what you do. You're the creator of the
world. You made the law. I have to do
it. You're the real king.
But even these mitzvot that I did that
you're telling me you're going to give
me a reward. If you really compare what
I did in comparison to what you're doing
for me and what you've done for me, what
you're going to do for me, it's like I'm
doing nothing. And this is David
talking.
But so why would you help me if I did
nothing? He says only because I have
confidence in you. It's not based on my
deeds. It's not based on all the I did.
One major mitzvah that I'm doing is I
have confidence in you. For that you'll
help me.
This is very relevant to us because
sometimes the tries to put himself in
our brain and convince us that we're not
nothing in a form of humility and
nothing in a form of anything where we
get tries to convince us that depression
is the only way for us to go. It's very
easy to become depressed in this world
and I know that before chouba for me I
suffered from depression many many years
and you know have high highs and low
lows and that was part part of the
reason of why I spent so much time
working it was escape from reality
escape from reality listen all these
problems all this ah really there's no
purpose there's no this there's no that
let me go to work spend 16 18 19 hours
sometimes I'll spend even work for two
two days straight without going to
just to escape from reality.
It's very easy to escape if you want to
escape from reality. That's that's
pretty much what most people are trying
to do. They work really really hard so
they can go away to some fantasy island
and escape their reality.
Why? Because their reality is terrible.
Their reality is purposeless. The
reality is a form of slavery to another
man.
has no meaning, has no significance, has
no end, has no beginning. So you want to
escape it. But when your reality is
permanent connection to Hashem,
permanent
fulfillment with the creator,
you never want to escape it. That's why
you're never going to hear that a major
rabbi went on vacation to the Bahamas.
You're never going to hear Rabbi Muzah
say, "Oh no, yeah, I just came back from
a vacation to Tahiti. We had a lot of
fun." It's there's no such thing.
Every day is a vacation. Every day is
great.
That's what the secular people don't
understand. When they look at a
religious person, they say, "Oh, poor
people, they uh they don't make as much
money as us." Oh, some of them are
actually some religious people are very
rich. But you know, the average person,
the average that makes $500 a month with
eight kids at home,
they look at them like, "Oh, poor
people, what do they uh spend so much
money on kosher food? They could buy
non-coosher food for half the price.
They spent all this money on these
holidays for what? They could just skip
it. You know, all these things. Look, I
just came back. Look, I have a $37,000
watch. I have a $150,000 car in the
garage. Another $200,000 one is on
order. I have a house for $3 million.
Look, I'm rich. In reality, who's really
the rich one?
That person is buying all of those
things,
not because he needs a $200,000 car. No
one needs a $200,000 car. The same car,
whether it's $200,000 or it's $20,000,
it's just going to it's also it's going
to get you from point A to point B. No
one needs a $3 million house. Unless you
have an enormous amount of guests every
single day, you're doing a lot of
bringing people from out of town at all
times, fine. But if it's you, your wife,
a dog, and and and two kids, you don't
need 18 rooms.
You don't You can only use two or three.
You don't need 18 rooms for what? Okay,
it's nice. This, but for what? After a
while, you get bored of it. Oh, you want
to move to another house? No, this house
is not good enough for us. We're going
to expand. We're going to get the $25
million house. Yeah, it has 87 rooms.
For what?
Why? Why do people do this? Why do
people become so materialistic? Because
they want to escape reality.
Escape reality because reality, excuse
my language, their reality sucks.
It's terrible. Their reality is awful.
It's purposeless. It has no beginning,
has no end.
Everyone that surrounds you want
something from you. pretend like they
like you, but they would stab you in the
back as soon as they get an opportunity.
And I'm telling you all of this, unlike
many people that have taught this lesson
a million and a half times over history.
I'm telling you this from actual
experience.
Obviously, you guys know my personal
story. If you don't, you should watch
the lecture I did in Los Angeles. I had
millions. I did all of that. I had all
of those people that pretended like they
liked me and the money and a $3 million
apartment and all of that stuff. I'm
telling you from experience, the only
reason you do any of those things is not
because of necessity.
You do not need a $3 million apartment.
You do not need fancy cars. You don't
need any of that stuff. It's simply to
escape reality.
Why? Because reality is terrible.
When you have no connection with Hashem,
your reality is non-existent. Because
happiness
is a spiritual feeling. It's not a
material feeling. In order for you to be
happy, there's only one way.
You have to do something spiritual.
You can buy a car every single day for
the rest of your life. You can make
print money. Print money. You know, the
the the US Congress decides, "Oh, we're
going to take the printing machines, put
it in your house. Print as much as you
want freely. We like you so much."
You're printing money.
Food, you have the best chefs in the
world now that you have so much money.
women, if you don't want if you don't
want to be with one woman, you have a
new wife every day, every five minutes,
within a week, you're you want to vomit
from all of this stuff within a week,
two weeks, if you're a psychopath,
maybe. But in reality, this you don't
need any of this stuff. How big of a
house do you really need? Why do you do
it? You do it to escape reality because
when you have no connection with Hashem,
you have no happiness. It's impossible
to be happy. And as far as spirituality,
we have an instruction set here given to
us by the creator himself. He says this
is the only way to be correct with the
spirituality that you choose.
It's not like someone can say, "Oh,
yeah, I can be very I'm very spiritual
person. I do yoga and I uh pray to uh
you know, Buddha or I pray to uh JC
Penney or I pray to uh Muhammad."
Okay, you could pray to all those
people, but you're still going to fall
under probably, you know, the same
caliber of those people that are
unhappy. Why? Because you're doing
what's supposed to be done, but just the
wrong way.
You're doing what's supposed to be done.
It's just the wrong way. Is it one a
single instruction set that Hashem gave
us? There's no two choices. One one
choice. Here's the Torah. No religion in
the world says that Tawat was not given
to Mount to Is and Mount Si. Everyone
agrees whether they're Christians,
Catholics,
all the denominations within them.
Islam, the Sunnis, the Shiites, whoever
they are, the terrorists, the ones that
like us, don't like us, doesn't make a
difference. Everyone says yes, Amis is
the one that got the Torah on Mount Si.
No one says we didn't get it. The fact
that they think that there's another
book and that that continues this book
is irrelevant. Point is, everyone agrees
that the day before their religion was
born, the day before Christianity was
born, the day before Islam was born, all
of them would tell you the only correct
religion in the world, the only correct
instruction set in the world was
Judaism. No one doubts this. They can't.
Why? Because they depend on the Torah as
being the Old Testament, Torah, whatever
they want to call it. And this single
instruction set based on this logic is
the only one
that can be correct
while everything else is wrong. It's not
possible for the New Testament or the
Quran
to be right and the Torah be wrong
because the second version cannot be
right when it's depending on the first
version while the first version is
wrong. Then both of them are unreliable.
This is something that's very very
important for people to understand. But
for some reason unfortunately many of us
are fooled by the in one way or another.
We're led astray and far far away from
the instruction set. Why? Because this
instruction set it says it says bring
yourself near. You have to do something
about it.
The other instruction set the fake one
say no you don't do anything.
Why? You can kill people, do whatever
you want. As long as you believe believe
in some guy that died 2,000 years ago,
whether he lived or not is questionable.
But the bottom line is as long as you
believe in him, everything's okay.
Hitler, yeah. Yeah. He believed in JC.
Oh, he goes to Ganedin. Well, he killed
50 million people. Yeah, but he believed
in JC. According to that logic, he's in
Geden.
Same thing with Haman. Same thing with
if they believed that anyone that
believed in JC according to their logic,
their book can do whatever they want.
This doesn't make any sense to any
person with a little bit of sense.
Any person with a little bit of sense
realize this doesn't make any sense.
Here you have an instruction set. This
instruction set tells you you have to do
stuff.
But unlike Islam, it tells you you have
to do things with everyone around you in
mind, not just you. You can't just go in
the middle of 47th Street or Broadway
when there's non-stop traffic and
because you have 400 friends, stop
traffic to pray. Go to the corner, go to
the mosque, go somewhere else and pray.
Do whatever you want. But you can't
torture everyone else because you have
to do something. Have you ever seen a
Jew stop traffic to pray? Unfortunately,
in today's age, we're so embarrassed of
being Jewish sometimes that we don't
even pray when we in the synagogue.
Something you see somebody praying in
the uh you know in the airport, but it's
it's good. But even then, they're
praying in the corner so no one sees
them. They're embarrassed of what
they're doing as if it's something bad.
Muslims
right in the check-in line. They'll pray
in the middle of Starbucks if they want
to. Doesn't matter. No. no shame. This
is against the Torah. You can't do that.
Also, you can't kill people because you
think that you're right and they're
wrong.
So, a lot of their laws are against
against the very Torah that they say is
right. They say it's right. Not just me
saying it's right. Not just Hashem
saying it's right. They say it's right.
They say it's correct. They say it's
from God. So, you see
there's a problem here. Why? No one
wants to believe in this Torah or to
follow this Torah. They say it's right,
but they don't want to follow it. They
have to come up with a new excuse. Why?
Because this Torah obligates you. This
Torah says you're not allowed to be
prideful. You're not allowed to murder.
You're not allowed to steal. You're not
allowed to do a lot of different things.
You have to act like a human being based
on Hashem's description of what a human
being is supposed to be.
And this very same human being gets a
significant reward just for having
confidence in Hashem
which can only be done
if he's close to Hashem.
One of the most interesting things about
this specific issue of confidence that I
uh learned
is the mid from
which is also a midash on uh on psalms
on tim.
It says
says even the wicked
will get salvation
if they put their confidence in Hashem.
Even if someone is planning to rob a
bank
and right before he pro, you know, he
goes to rob a bank, he prays to Hashem
and he actually believes that Hashem is
going to help him rob the bank.
Hashem makes sure that all of the
bodyguards over there, all the guards
over there are sleeping, make sure that
all of the alarms don't work. Make sure
that all he's actually believed that
Hashem is going to help him. Here it
says just because of this confidence,
not because of his action. His action is
wicked. He's going against the Torah.
He's going to steal. He's going to
murder. He's going to do a bunch of bad
things. But the fact that he has
confidence in Hashem is so significant
that Hashem will actually help him.
Absolutely.
Absolutely. Hashem will actually help
him. Hashem will help you in whichever
direction you want to go. You want to be
righteous, he's going to help you be
righteous. You want to be wicked, he's
going to help you be wicked.
Now, Hashem surrounded by righteous
people. This will give us a really,
really good clarity.
If Hashem is willing to help the wicked,
for their wickedness,
why do we have any problem
and any doubt in Hashem helping us if
all we're trying to do is things that
are righteous?
If I'm constantly trying to gather
million carat diamonds full of, you
know, that are mitzvot. If I'm
constantly trying to do the will of
Hashem, make his will into my will,
why do you doubt his give you? Why do
you think you need to work on Shabbat?
Because six days is not enough. Why do
you think that you're not going to be
married ever and you're not going to
find a ze? Why? Hashem ran out of
people.
You're the only one he's going to leave
alone. Why do you think that you have to
go spend millions of dollars on doctors
just to have kids? What Hashem didn't
make miracles with that happened before?
But what do we need to do in order to
get this miracle? First and foremost, we
have to have confidence that he's going
to help us.
In order for us to have confidence, we
have to do something about it. We have
to get close to Hashem.
close to if you get close to Hashem,
confidence is an inevitable
destiny.
But if you have no confidence in Hashem,
that means there's something missing in
this equation.
Cuz the wicked guy has confidence. Why
shouldn't you?
It says, "For one who trusts in Hashem,
kindness surrounds him."
Now, what is
the main thing that we hear constantly
today in the news is that
there's a potential war. There's
problems in the world.
Things are heating up in the last week
or so, even more than the last time I
was here.
Very easy to lose confidence. Very easy
to lose ourselves in all of these
disasters that's surrounding us. whether
because a lot of is out of our control.
Now you have Russia publicly
warning the world that if anyone comes
to Syria, it's going to start World War
II, as if it didn't start already.
And you have America responding that we
have to send people there.
You have a uh
article that came out a day or two ago
by this former FBI agent who's now a
radio host with some very interesting
information saying that World War III is
inevitable and it's in his opinion. I
don't hold him to his uh timing, but in
his opinion, it's going to start in the
next few weeks. Obviously only Hashem
knows when any of these things are going
to start. So don't put too much value on
the timing.
But he puts a lot of interesting
information that normal people are not
privy to.
We already have discussed and know that
we are we find ourselves in something
that the Torah calls the end of days.
Msiah is around the corner.
could be here tomorrow, next week, five
years from now. We don't know. But based
on how everything is heating up, it's
not too far.
The only reason it's carrying any longer
is because Hashem has mercy. That's it.
Not because he wants it uh to uh last
longer. Hashem has mercy because he sees
a lot of people are doing cha right now.
Millions of people are waking up right
now. Both go and Jews.
One thing I mentioned in the lecture, I
think it was last night or night before,
it's very interesting in case you don't
watch it. I really want you guys to know
it is that Hashem in the last uh month
or two since the uh Shim have been uh
publicized in a few different places
that I have on Rab Misra's uh website
and a few other places and also you know
build a fan base over a couple of years
that adds up over time but it really
gets to a point day and night we don't
have anymore it's non-stop emails
questions
compliments nice things everything it's
never stops
never ending amount of uh communications
with new people from all over the world
whether it's as far as Australia Norway
Bulgaria or the United States as local
as Florida helping somebody convert or
people in New York or people in Chicago
want me to go there constantly people
reaching from all over the world they
got connected to one of the shulim and
it turned something on it turned
something on and I'm not just talking
about Jews I'm talking about a lot
actually even more non-Jews than Jews.
Mhm. Even more non-Jews than Jews are
connecting to this stuff and saying,
"Listen, something's missing in my life.
Money. Yes, I have uh this. I have this.
I have this. I have happiness. I don't
have connection. I don't have something
is missing. I watched you. It turned
something on. Something switched on.
You're seeing this not just because
anybody who reads the Torah will get the
same information. There's nothing
special about me. Apparently, some
people are not reading the entire Torah,
so maybe they miss some parts.
But the key here is that you're seeing
the world wake up. And there's a story
that's happening as we speak. And I know
this firsthand information because the
uh person is actually connected to my uh
my
that I learn with all the time. And uh
he tells me that there is a country in
Africa
that the king has found the truth of
Judaism, converted to Judaism.
Now he's apparently the rest of the
family is converting and he plans on
converting the entire country
but to orthodox Judaism, not uh orthodox
Judaism. Now you're saying, "Okay, the
entire country is probably a little
town, poor people. They don't have any
money. They walk around with underwear.
That's what that's what we think in
Africa, right?" No, they have money.
They're fine. And it's between two to
300 million people. Wow.
I just read uh recently article in which
one of the rapper in New York he's uh
doing alat to his uh yeah it's actually
good black or something there's another
uh rapper former rapper gangster really
uh I forget Rabbi Nissim Rabbi Nissim
he's uh was a rapper gangster from the
street you know of I think Brooklyn and
not only Did he convert? He actually
became a big Tamit, a Kiru personality,
makes people do Chuva, and he's a rabbi,
like a legit rabbi. And he came out with
a hit song recently with another famous
uh singer that's religious.
The world's waking up. People are not
staying the same. People realize there's
something going on over here.
The key is for us to wake up.
When we see that so much that's out of
our control,
we realize that
Hashem is moving all of these pawns in a
certain way to make sure that everyone
has an opportunity to wake up. Everyone
has an opportunity to look up and says,
"Ah, yep. I forgot about you my whole
life, but now I'm never going to
forget." Every you tell me to pray every
day, I'll pray every day. You want me to
talk to you every day? I pro every day
feeling I do feeling. When we keep
Shabbat, I keep Shabbat. You I forgot
about you for 40 years now. I'm not
going to forget about you again. I'm
sorry. Cha starts right away. Take a
serious step of cha. Stop with the
Shabbat. Stop with the eating. Stop with
the nonsense with the women and the men
and the new dates every other day. Stop.
Enough.
Running out of time. Everybody's waking
up.
But one of the main things the Torah
itself says there are two things that
are going to help us and save us
at the hard times of Mashiach. The times
of Mashiach eventually will be great.
Whoever is saved has Allah is going to
be in a phenomenal shape.
But until we get to the end, till we get
to the great times, let's not fool
ourselves. If you read the book of
Zachary chapter 14 doesn't say wonderful
things about the end of times.
You read the prophecies in the book of
Daniel does not say wonderful things
about the end of times. You read Ezekiel
also one of the major prophets we have
doesn't say wonderful things about the
end of times. It's going to be very very
hard times and it says only two things
are going to save you.
Only two things are going to save you at
the end of times. Torah and
Torah, which doesn't only mean, you
know, reading the Torah or having a book
of Torah on the shelf, collecting dust,
doing nothing in the shelf. You know,
there's a lot of people, they have a
whole uh, you know, cabinet shelf full
of holy books. They haven't opened one
in 30 years. Somebody comes to their
house. Wow. Wow. Big you are. What a
sad. Look at all these books. At least
$30,000 worth of books. The guy you ask
him, so what are you up to? What what's
a m what's what's a m what this week?
What are we now? No. What are you
talking about? It's it's already me.
What better sheep? But you have all
these books. Yeah. No, it looks nice
though.
Oh, doesn't mean just having the book in
the shelf.
Doesn't mean that. It means reading the
Torah. Every week you read the para with
the commentary.
every every day you took, you know, put
a CD in the car. Instead of listening to
the junk music they have today, you
listen to a good rabbi that has
something you don't want, you don't have
any CDs. Tell me, I'll give you a bunch
of CDs.
I'm getting new CDs from Rabbi Alonava
soon. Rabbi Alon Nava has amazing
lectures and he's sending me some CDs
soon. So, I'll I'll give it to you guys.
Uh so uh there's other should be very
soon but also I'm going to get Rabbi
Mizrai's new CD soon and a few others.
Uh so you don't have CDs fine. You also
have a phone. Your phone is a
smartphone. They don't call it
smartphone so we could look at baseball
games or football games. Smartphone has
YouTube. YouTube go to my channel. You
have two 300 hours worth of lectures
that are done. I'm sure not no you know
no one's watched all of these hours. If
you finish with mine or you have you're
not interested go to other ones.
Rabbi, there's many other ones. There's
so much Torah available. Just press the
button. That's what Torah means. Torah
means learning Torah. By learning Torah,
you're going to put it into your life.
Because you can't be one of these people
that just learns Torah, knows a lot of
information, but does nothing.
Learning Torah, by Torah, he means
you're learning the Torah and you're
actually implementing it into your life.
But what's we've talked about this a
little bit in the past.
We said that
is
kindness
but kindness that's not only money.
Kindness that requires your time, your
actual effort. Just like says in this
to get close to me, you have to make you
have to exert yourself and make an extra
effort.
It's the same thing
but with mankind and with Hashem. How
so?
Yes. You give somebody taka, you give
him $20, buy him a meal. That's nice.
Mean you spent time with him. There was
a uh one time
the Moshe Feinstein obviously one of the
very very busy man
and uh you know is these these sadikim
if you notice all of them were very very
careful with their time they wouldn't
waste any minute
so in the morning one day he has some
people waiting for him in the car
they're going to some very very
important meeting and right about before
he came into the car a poor man came up
to him asking puts the soinstein takes
some money out. He gives him staka but
the poor man insists on talking to Rabos
Mosha Finstein.
So he start talking and talking and
talking in 1 minute, 2 minutes and 3
minutes. This is much longer than the
amount of time that you're usually able
to spend with such a big sadik. They're
very busy.
Now his students that are with Rabbi
Mosha Feinstein are, you know, noticing
this. After it gets to about five
minutes, they're insisting to the
person, no, we need to go. The says,
"No, no, we're talking."
He tells his students to go away and let
him continue talking with this poor
homeless man.
6 minutes, 7 minutes, they talk for over
10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, the says to the man,
"It's very, very nice talking to you,
but I must go now." That's it. And he
leaves. Of
course, one of the biggest suggestions
the gimm says if someone wants to be
righteous is not just learning to but
connecting yourself and gluing yourself
to sadik. Why? Because by gluing
yourself to sadik, you're going to see
how he acts and you can learn more from
his actions than even from his Torah.
Because if he's a sadik, then he's
putting the Torah into life. He's
implementing it. So of course his his
students are not just there just because
they want to honor the and help him.
They also want to learn from him along
doing this.
So they ask, you know, 10 minutes with
some guy you don't even know. Poor man.
He goes, "Oh, he must be asking why."
The money that I gave him
was not really the stakad that he was
looking for.
What was more important to him was for
me to talk to him and give him a feeling
that he is important and that what he's
saying is important. And for me, that
was an obligation that I had to do in
order to give staka.
That was part of my
it wasn't the money. Hashem is going to
give money in a million different ways.
He doesn't need me to give him the
money. What Hashem wanted me to do there
is to do
make him
feel like he's just as important as
everybody else.
That's
spend your time. Somebody comes to your
door asking for money, don't make him
feel like a homeless person. If you know
this person, it's if it's obviously you
can't just let any strange man into your
house. If this is a person that commonly
comes to the neighborhood is just known
as a poor person, make them, you know,
come in, sit down, give them a sandwich
or something. Five minutes you spend
with them, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, not
really the end of the world.
This is But what's the ultimate?
The ultimate especially in our
generation
is to do kir to help people do cha I'm
not saying this for myself only this is
the reason why I do what I do but I do
it mostly I tell you because each and
every single one of you every single
person that's watching this you can be a
kiru personality
if you can't speak then you can give
people CDs if you don't have the ability
cuz you're so busy to give people see
these you can sponsor
you give money to the people that are
involved with kiru help them out and
they do kiru for you if you don't have
any money you have internet right you
live in the modern ages most people have
internet in America okay find a link
number 78 about kiru about amuna about
uh
take the link copy paste it put it on
your Facebook put it on your Twitter
give it to somebody else send it in an
No, anyone that watches this even 5
minutes and it wakes them up.
You've done an extraordinary amount of
why? Cuz you've taken time out of your
day.
It's not always money.
But you've helped somebody wake up and
you could change their life for the
smallest thing.
Something a CD cost a dollar could
change somebody's life. A link cost
nothing other than a few seconds that it
takes to make an email or a copy and
paste in Facebook costs nothing. Change
somebody's life.
That's the ultimate
and it costs nothing.
So much so that to show you how
significant helping somebody do chuba is
everyone has heard even the
non-religious have heard of
he was the
one of the most important rabbis in
history
a huge lover of Isl
peace amongst even mafias
Even mafia when they had actual turf
wars in Israel, the two leading mafia
bosses were killing each other every day
and their people every day
to the point where they start telling
the ra there's murder in the streets.
People civilians are getting hurt and
says bring me the two heads of the
families.
Two leading gangsters in Israel. They
come they even though they're gangsters
they still respect the big Albanim. They
came to
Rabava, unlike other people, he saw the
inside of you, not the outside. He tells
all of his people to leave the room. He
wants to stay with these two people that
are murderers. They're not sadikim.
I want to stay just with them. And he
starts talking to them. He says, "Your
grandparents, I know your grandparents.
Your grandfather is so and so. Used to
learn with him. Your grandparents were
so and so. used to be a very righteous
person and he tells them about their
families. How could you go from this
families to now you're killing each
other?
And he starts telling him the stories
and he starts crying with them literally
crying. You have mama something
extraordinary. He starts to cry
10 minutes, 20 minutes, a half hour.
is crying to the point where both of the
head most tough guys, gangster criminals
start begging the love to stop crying.
We'll do whatever you want. Just stop
crying.
See a big love crying. It's
heartbreaking. See, anybody crying, it's
heartbreaking. Me person, I can't
tolerate people crying. It's it's it's
unbearable to me. I'll do whatever they
want. It's my soft spot. I see my little
daughter cry. Whatever you want. I'll
stop this. No, I'll pick you up.
Airplane this, that. Whatever you want.
I can't tolerate crying. Of course,
I felt you. Starts crying. He would cry
for people he didn't even know. He heard
if he heard
someone in a different country, a Jew in
a different country, was hurt in any
way, having trouble in any way, he'd
start crying. That's why at the end of
his life they stopped letting the people
come see him because every time people
would you know the people would stand
online to come see the ask for blessings
they'll tell him about their trouble.
You get to the point the would
constantly cry all day. Said when he got
to the when he got to be you know much
older it was already hurting his health.
It was too much. They stopped letting
him see people.
That's how much he loved is those two
gangsters made peace on the spot.
Soya
has written some of the most important
books we've ever had.
Things that are relevant today, things
we learn from today, things that we rely
on today.
His Torah was very, very important. He
didn't waste even one second.
But to give you guys an understanding of
how important kiru is, how important it
is to help a Jewish soul do chuba, it's
an amazing story I heard recently from
he says that uh
before became
I mean he's always been even since he
was a teenager before he became the of
you know the the head of of is and so on
Every Shabbat he would go from he would
eat very quickly and he would go from
synagogue to synagogue to give Shuim.
He would do six, seven shim. Every
Shabbat,
six, seven lectures every Shabbat
non-stop.
I barely struggle to do one a day. He's
doing six, seven. I'm just on Shabbat.
And he would go to the worst
neighborhoods.
He didn't go to the rich people. Oh
yeah, I'm going to go to Beverly Hills
because there's millionaires over there.
Maybe they can give you some money. No,
you go to the worst neighborhoods. Poor
poor people. People have nothing. People
have nothing. Also tend to have also a
lot more crime over there. So there's a
story one time they didn't mention the
name of the person because uh you'll
find out at the end why.
But he went and gave a shoe in one of
these areas in Israel,
not exactly full of tadikim.
And uh the kids outside, teenagers and
young kids outside were mamas who called
chakahim, you know, called like you know
trouble kids.
And instead of you know coming to the
listening to sh what do they do? They
start kicking the soccer ball against
the wall in the window. So every word
the says hem
said p this p you know every word the
the soccer ball will hit the wall. He
can't even talk. So after a few minutes,
the love stopped,
walked out of the synagogue to go to the
back to see where these kids are. As
soon as he gets there, one of them, the
tough guy of them, takes the ball, kicks
it. I don't know if it was intentionally
or not intentionally, kicks the ball,
hits the right in the head. His hat
falls, his glasses fall, everything is a
mess. Now, already at this point, me
personally, I would stop the story and
just go tell you that, okay, I ended up
in jail at the end of that day.
But is our
so what does he do? Collected come knows
everything is from Hashem. Has hem
connected to Hashem glued to him picks
up the stuff very come here for a
second. Why? What do you want? Come here
for a second. The kid comes say listen
I'm doing a and then I need quiet. If
you stop with the ball and you make sure
there's quiet, you come with me after
the sh to my house, I'll spoil you. Give
you food, presents, whatever you want.
Yeah. This is a poor person. He says,
"This is great." Yeah. Really? Yeah.
Yeah. I'll give you Okay, you got a
deal. Well, goes in now, gives the sh
finish the sh comes out after the sh's
waiting for him. He's like, "No, come
come
with me.
come with me. He takes him to his house.
You know, you know, these kids are not
exactly, they're not dressed in a suit
and pants. They're dressed with, you
know, tank top, shorts, and flipflops.
He takes him to his house.
You know, the Rabanit sees him, she gets
scared initially, but you know, Rob
says, "Please give him food. You give a
bunch of food." And is scared. Listen,
if I let this kid go, he's probably
going to go violate Shabbat now.
You know, probably go do something,
violate Shabbat. So, he tells the kid,
listen, if you stay with me until the
end of Shabbat,
I'll give you a present, whatever you
want. What do you want? He goes, I want
to go to a movie. I want to see a movie.
Okay, fine.
So, the stopped his Torah. Imagine this
is a person that would is there was no
extra time. There was no I mean every
single minute of his day was involved in
Torah. Every second was calculated. He
stopped his Torah to sit with this kid
eat and drink and make sure he had fun
until Shabbat ended. Why? Because he
didn't want him to violate Shabbat. At
the end of Shabbat, he says, "How much
is a movie?" He says, "It's two L." So
just by laser, you know how long ago
this story is.
He gives the kid two laser.
He says, "Well, how are you going to get
there?"
Don't worry about I'm going to get
there. No, no, no. Here's another two
laser. Make sure you have money for the
bus to get to the movie. Next week, same
deal. Same deal? Really? Yeah. Yeah.
Same deal.
The next week, the Rav goes to the same
place
and the kids already waiting excited. He
goes, "Pull
everything is ready for you. It's
quiet."
Same deal. He goes to his house after
they eat, they drink, laugh, enjoy. He
does this for a couple of months with
this kid. After a couple of months, the
kid
leaves his bad friends and goes to
yeshiva.
And today he's one of he's a
he's a head judge in the Jewish court.
One of the most important people we have
in the world. They don't say his name
because I guess maybe of embarrassment
of his past possibly.
But this gives you an idea
of
stopping his stopping everything. Why?
To make one person to help one person,
one Jew.
Why? This is the ultimate.
It doesn't get better than that. Sending
giving somebody a link, giving somebody
a CD, email, all of those things. You
cannot do anything better than that.
This will get you to a point of having
the ultimate connection with Hashem.
When you have the ultimate connection
with Hashem, then the verse of
will apply to you, but you would feel
it.
When says praiseworthy is the man who
trusts in hem, you'll feel why why he
said it. to give you an understanding of
what true amun is inem
was a story I read by
lived a little over 100 years ago.
Well, the story is from about 100 years
ago. I think he died in uh 1933.
Um
and uh
towards the end of his life, you know,
he would travel, but it was obviously he
wasn't the same, you know, physically as
he was when he was younger.
So one time he was going from war show
to uh Reedo or just a different city.
And they were going on a train. After a
while they had to come back home
and but the train home was a connecting
train had to stop. They had to switch
trains to go to a different train to go
back home.
So the you know went with his uh
and you know as soon as they stopped in
the first stop they said oh we have to
go to the next train.
But the guy realized that this train was
late. So that means that we only have
like 5 minutes to get to this next
train.
Walking slowly
and the, you know, Tamit knows there's
no chance in the world they're going to
make it to the next train. Next train's
like 15 minutes away. Especially with
the way the office is is walking.
There's no way they're going to make it.
The train is going to leave in a few
minutes.
Says, "No, don't worry. Everything is
from Hashem."
No, it's not. It's not stress, not
nothing.
Everything is pleasant. It's not like
today where there's a new train like the
subway system in New York. You miss the
train four minutes later is another one.
You miss a train, you're going to stay
there for a day or two.
Everything is from Hashem.
They walk out. As soon as they walk out,
one of the Tomim looks behind them at
the opposite side of the train, the
other side. He sees that the train
that's supposed to go somewhere else
just changed their sign. And now it's
saying that it's actually going to where
they need to go.
It's doesn't agree with the sign that it
says on top, but the train itself
changed. Oh, we don't have to go
anywhere. It's right here.
They're going to the train, but they
notice the notice something very
strange. No one else is on the train.
Train starts going.
A bunch of people are waving for it to
stop. The train continues.
Next stop, bunch of people wait for it
to stop.
Continues, continues all the way until
it takes
A couple of days later, one of the
tambidim opens the uh newspaper and he
sees that the train company writes a
public apology. We're sorry, but two
days ago, we made a mistake. One of the
trains that was supposed to go to this
area made a mistake and went to a
different area and passed all of its
passengers
in their in their location. Didn't pick
up anything.
The knew it wasn't a mistake. The knew
that Hashem with the confidence
had
made decide where the train goes.
When you have confidence in Hashem
to that level,
miracles become your lifestyle. Mhm.
So,
as you can see, there's really nothing
that is better
than to get to a point of having and
developing this confidence in Hashem.
Our ultimate goal is to develop this
confidence.
Just like we talked about,
that's what we talked about. that we
talked about doing, but all of it starts
with one thing. Whether it's developing,
whether it's developing developing amuna
and confidence in Hashem, whether it's
getting to eventually the point of
loving Hashem, all of them have the very
same exact starting point.
You have to do something about it.
You're not born with it. You don't just
one day wake up, oh, I have I love
Hashem. You have to do something about
it. This is one of the most important
lessons we need to learn about
everything. All the entire connection
with Hashem requires us to do something
about it. We are not a religion that
says just because you're born a certain
way or you believe in a certain thing
everything will be fine. No. In order
for you to get to a point of having
miracles become part of your lifestyle,
having happiness become a daytoday
normal for you, having no concerns about
anything,
you have to do something about it. The
mitzvot are a requirement keeps us
occupied.
Every day we read
the 13 principles of faith or at least
we're supposed to. So it's a big mitzvah
to do it and it's also a very big
reminder that we're obligated to do.
Usually most people read it at the end
of at the end of the morning
prayer.
Now the when he put these 13 principles
of faith he said this is what makes us
Jewish.
Now when you read this and you breeze
through it it's very easy to kind of
lose the the meaning and the
significance of it. And unfortunately,
many people just don't read it at all
because it's not a uh taught to the same
level of significance to most people as
let's say doing the prayer of and so on.
But I personally highly recommend that
we read this as a reminder every single
day. Uh because again, this is
this is the foundation of our connection
to Hashem.
This is the foundation. If you believe
these things, you are connected to
Hashem and you just got to build on top
of it. If there are any doubts,
then obviously you have something to
work on, something very serious to work
on. This part of the foundation is
broken.
This is actually the problem with
conservative and reform sects of uh of
Judaism is that they don't believe in
the entire list of of uh the 13
principles of faith.
So this is one of the reasons why for
example when someone converts through
conservative or reform the conversion
even though technically the process
especially with conservative the process
of conversion is practic almost
identical to the orthodox you go to mikv
they ask you some questions before the
mikv
the process itself is is simple
but it's not the process it's who's the
dan it's who's the judges who's deciding
If the judge
is someone that's teaching openly to
violate the Torah, that it's okay to
drive on Shabbat,
especially if you're going to besset,
it's okay to eat at non-coosher places
because the food is still healthy. It's
okay,
you know, if you're eating a salad at a
non-coosher place, they say it's okay.
Sometimes they even say not eating non-
kosher meat's okay, too.
I don't know to what what level it is.
You're not even allowed to eat
non-coosha salad, right? Why? Because
you can't rely on the uh on the kitchen
to clean all the worms and and bugs that
are in it. And eating one bug is like
it's six sins. It's worse than eating
pig. Eating pig, which most Jews think,
oh eating pig, I would never do that.
Shabbat, no problem. Eating pig shalom.
That's that's the I used to think like
this also. It's not not a joke. You
think the pig eat a pig? No, never eat
pig. Go to the beach on Shabbat. Yeah,
why not? What's the problem? Why does
I'm relaxing on the beach? That's the
mentality of a secular person. Eating
pig is one sin. Eating a bug is six.
So when you eat vegetables, you have to
be very careful to wash them, to clean
them. That's very, very important. And
that's why you can't really eat salad in
any non-coosher place because you cannot
rely on them cleaning it because they
don't have those laws in their, you
know, in a department food of health or
anything.
When conservative and reform are
teaching that it's okay to be openly
gay, you just have,
you know, you're accepted. and we love
you as you are even though Hashem says
that
you're considered an animal to him
because the sin is the same thing as
beastiality and the violation and this
is one of the biggest sins in the Torah.
Again, you see the problem here. You see
the problem here. So when the judge, the
dian that's converting the conservative
or the reformed is that he's teaching
that or agrees with that,
the Tawa says he's not reliable. He
could be a huge very wise person, knows
everything, knows verses by heart, knows
the entire Torah by heart, knows this,
knows that. If his teaching is such that
it's against the Torah and he's a
kufair,
cannot be relied upon even if the
process is identical
to what is it like
if we wanted to take a flight from here
to Australia. I know from New York to
Australia was 17 hours. I'm not sure how
it is from Florida to Australia. It's
probably similar.
And for 16 hours and 59 minutes, the
pilot
m it's like you're praising Hashem for
creating such a genius.
What a great flight. Last minute, he
falls asleep.
Last minute. 1 minute. 16 hours 59
minutes. He's perfect. Last minute. He's
about to land. Last he falls asleep.
Is he a good pilot or is he is he a
murderer?
The fact that they know a lot of Torah
and they remember books by heart and
they quote this guy and quote that guy
means nothing.
What are you doing with it?
That last minute
of what you preach and how you live your
life, that's everything.
You tell people, listen, the Torah says
this. Yeah, it's not Shabbat. That's not
relevant to our generation. God didn't
have cars back here. So, it's okay to
drive. When they start making things
that are against the Torah, that 16
hours and 59 minutes means nothing. It's
all bub kiss. It's all worthless.
That's why people that are misled, they
pay a lot of money, spend a lot of time,
they go through conversions. It's
unfortunate that being misled, they find
out one day, no, you're not even you're
not considered Jewish. It's not it's not
fair.
It's not fair at all. This is this is
creating a lot of problem in today's
generation because unfortunately the
conversion business is big money
especially since so people so many
people want to convert. The funny thing
is that the righteous rabbis the ones
that are really mushed on mitzvot and
everything else it's a fraction of the
cost
of what it is for the people that's not
even considered conversion.
I have one one story I heard that's in
uh it's unfortunately it's in Israel.
This one wicked rabbi is trying to uh
get people to convert but he wants each
family each person. People are coming
from poverty. They're not coming from a
lot of money. Each person $10,000 which
in Israel is an extraordinary amount of
money. Even in America it's a lot of
money for conversion. I can tell you the
conversion $1,000 $1,500.
righteous people that I know for sure.
$1,500 you're finished with the
conversion. Orthodox, legit, accepted
all over the world.
You see that again
is very strong in our generation. Very
very strong. So we have to make sure
that we connect to hem and we have to
have
because that's the way we get the
special protection like we mentioned.
Now
the 13 principles of faith
is the difference between
being Jewish and not being Jewish.
Being close and connected to Hashem and
not being close and connected to Hashem.
And this is some of the things that you
know we we read every single day. And
I recommend that you spend some time on
this every day when you read uh when you
read it to think about what each one of
these things mean. The first one first
one says it's I hereby believe with
perfect faith in the 13 principles of
the Torah, the holy Torah. The first
thing I believe that the holy one
blessed is he exists and watches over
us.
This is exactly what we're talking about
today, which is that Hashem is
everywhere.
There's no question about it. I'm not
doubting whether he's here or whether
he's not. Whether he cares that I do
after the bathroom or I don't,
whether he cares if I do at this time or
that time. He cares about everything and
he watches everything.
In order for us to get to a point
of understanding
that the Tawa is kesh, the Torah is
holy. The first thing we have to realize
is that we have to follow what Hashem
said.
to par
wicked par
through Moshe.
He says this in the uh inad
verse 103.
Moses and came to Po and said to him,
"So Hashem said,
uh, so Hashem, God of the Hebrew said,
until when will you refuse to be humbled
before me?" This is the first half of
the verse.
Which means here is that in order for us
to have any type of connection to the
Torah, first thing we have to do is we
have to minimize oursel. We have to be
humbled. We have to realize that Hashem
is much greater than us, much greater
than we could ever be.
Our logic is not his logic.
Our thoughts are not superior to his. We
do not know a better way.
Whatever he writes here is relevant
forever.
The fact that we understand it or don't
understand it is irrelevant.
You have to pretty much remove all pride
from yourself and realize come to terms
with the fact that Hashem whatever his
word is written 3,000 years ago or
written yesterday doesn't make a
difference is superior to what our
thoughts are.
This will lead you to a point where you
realize okay that Hashem this this this
holy one he cares about everything. As
we said, he watches over us.
When we realize that he's watching over
us, this brings us back to the sh we had
a few weeks ago, which is how Hashem in
this week's actually and also in
throughout the entire Torah, Hashem
constantly repeats his name. He says,
"This is my name forever. I am Hashem.
This is my name forever."
He's constantly repeating himself. I am
Hashem. I am Hashem. I am Hashem. I am
Hashem. And here in in in in verse uh in
Exodus
uh 34
uh 3:15, the end of the verse, it's he's
specifically mentioning to us something
very very clear for anyone who thinks
it's a second book, third book, fourth
book, new opinion, relevant opinion,
modernized, not modernized, nonsense. He
says this is my name forever. Just like
my name does not change, the Torah
doesn't change.
My opinion doesn't change. Nothing gets
modernized.
Nothing changes. Same Torah that I wrote
stays the same.
The next thing which is more relevant to
non-Jews than it is to Jews or at least
we hope so is that Hashem is one. This
is the second thing, second part of the
13 principles of faith.
you know, there's one God.
Unfortunately, Christianity
has uh gotten to the point where it's
it's turned into complete idol worship
uh where they've split God into three
and um in essence believe that God is
more than one. Some believe that this JC
person is a Messiah and you know and the
son of God. Others believe he is God.
The interesting thing is that the vast
majority of Christians, devout
Christians actually pray to him which
means that they believe he is God. Their
book says he he is God.
And Catholicism split this person into
one of the pieces of God.
This is against the foundation of the
Torah. This is against the found the 13
principles of faith.
And we have to understand that Hashem
is
just one. There's no there's no other
pieces to it. One of the most important
things that we realized that Hashem is
one, as we've talked about before, is
the importance of developing fear of
this one. When you realize there's one,
when you realize that Hashem is all
knowing, almighty, all everything,
he's in charge of everything, whether
it's the cells in your body or it's the
panad that you struggle for or the zoo
that you want or anything. When you
realize finally realize that Hashem
is one, then you're paying attention.
Just like we had in also in uh Exodus,
we had the Egyptians when they got the
plague of hell.
We learned this that Moshe gave them a
warning. Anyone that goes outside is
going to die. Him and his animals.
Anyone that stays inside
will live. Simple. You've seen the
frogs. You've seen the lice. You've seen
the all different types of animals.
You've seen blood. So on there's another
plague. There's going to be hail, ice
coming with lava inside it. The pretty
much going against the laws of nature
because Hashem is above nature. He is
nature in essence
or it's one of his tools actually better
said.
and he's going to give you a choice.
If you want to fear him, you're going to
be inside.
So here it says, we learned here that
those who feared
uh it says here verse 920, whoever among
the servants of par feared the word of
Hashem
chased his servants and his livestock to
the houses. So whoever feared Hashem
realize that Hashem is in charge of
everything
went inside
whichever one of us that has any
understanding of that Hashem is one and
that despite being one he is everywhere
at the same time. He's not like us one
and we're just at one place. Despite
being one he's everywhere at the same
time.
That's the beginning of
if we that's that's what it's saying
over here. It's those that paid
attention.
But what about the people don't have
fear? Says no, it's no such thing as not
having fear. It's whoever did not take
the word of Hashem to heart. Whatever
didn't pay attention
in Hebrew is what you say.
Whoever did not take the word of Hashem
to heart, he left his servants and his
livestock in the field
and they died. There's no such thing as
not having fear of Hashem. It's either
you have fear of Hashem because you
recognize his his significance and the
fact that he is one
or you're just not paying attention. You
just think that you're God.
You're in control of your own destiny.
Because if you actually believe that
Hashem is the same Hashem and the Torah,
of course, you have fear. Which means
that if we don't have fear, if you don't
have
a part of us, could be a small part,
could be a big part. A part of us has
doubts.
Part of us has doubts if it's real. A
part of us has doubts in a second
principle of faith, which is whether God
is one or not. A part of us, not saying
all of us, part of us has doubts. If we
have, if we if we're not scared of God,
scared of what he thinks, scared of his
opinion, a part of us doesn't believe.
We have to work on that part.
The next thing is
he has no body nor the likeness of a
body.
This
is why
the whole concept of Christianity
can never ever apply to a Jew.
The whole New Testament, the whole
concept of anything relevant to the New
Testament or JC or any person that
believes themselves to be a part of God,
God himself, whoever they think they
are.
This is all nonsense because again they
have humanized God.
The the the cannot get any worse.
People are constantly trying to humanize
God.
They're constantly trying to make God
like us.
He's not like us. He will never be like
us. He's not coming here in human form.
And he's telling you you himself, I have
no body or even a likeness of a body.
There's no image at all. There's
nothing. He is everything. Doesn't have
any. It's not like there's like a wind
or like a spirit with some hands and
like you know in the movies, hey Joseph,
how are you? No, it's nothing.
There's nothing. There's no like face in
the sky that talks like in the movies.
There's nothing. There's no image.
There's no likeness of an image. There's
no wind. There's no like lightning uh
you know type of personality superhero
nothing. You're not even allowed to
think
that there's an image. You're not even
allowed to give yourself a picture of
what you think God looks like.
It violates the third principle of
faith. Mhm.
So when we pray
if you're praying really hard, you want
to think about something. You want to
visualize something.
You can't visualize the sky and you
think God is just standing there and
said, "Oh, it's good, my son. It's good,
my son." You can't do that. There's no
old man over there waiting for us. So
what are you supposed to do? Look at the
letters. Visualize the letters. Look
deep into the Hebrew letters and look at
the name of Hashem.
Look at the name of Hashem. It's very,
very holy. It'll get you even deeper
into prayer.
Don't look at some image, some picture,
some nothing. Also, by the way, if if
you ever pray somewhere and there's a
picture of some rabbi, you're not
allowed to look at him when you pray or
even face him. Just so you know,
this is very, very important. Prayer is
very, very important. prayer as this
week's para says
is that when we don't have the we don't
have mdas we can't do sacrifice anymore
so what are we going to do for repenting
for our sins prayer
is very very important when we don't
have sacrifices
our words are what we use as sacrifices
but not just say hashem forgive me
that's not enough pray you know
put exert some effort effort into it.
There's an amazing story again by the
Bal Shento.
It was one time a uh young kid, you
know, in those days,
you know, you're already six years old,
you're already working. Young
six-year-old kid was a shepherd.
Didn't know how to read, didn't know how
to write.
All he knew was his chickens and his
sheep. That's it. And some other animals
that he had. And that was his world. He
didn't have any friends, nothing. He
just had just him and his little
animals. And all he knew is these little
animals. That was his world.
And you know, when you're a shepherd,
you're alone a lot. Mushenu
most important people in history have
been shepherds. They spent a lot of a
lot of time alone. When you have you're
able and understand the significance of
being alone,
you connect to Hashem at a very deep
level. A lot of people today have a very
uh tough time being alone. They need
action. They need something. They need
to go places. They need to ski. They
need to skydive. They need to go, I
don't know, buy stuff. They need to go
to the mall. They constantly have to do
something. Why? Because again, there's
emptiness. When there's emptiness, you
have to make yourself do something. When
there's significance, when there's
connection to Hashem,
being alone is the best thing in the
world. Connect. It's me and Hashem. I'm
never alone. So this little boy is with
his animals. He prays to Hashem in his
words. He doesn't know but you know you
know he heard one day you know in those
days they would make the bell sound is
yon kipool it's coming. So he went to
synagogue
but he sees every other little boy is
with his father and they're praying and
they're praying. They're all reading
from a sidulu
from sidu and he doesn't know how to
read. He doesn't know what they're
reading. He doesn't know how to read. He
doesn't know what to do. But he knows
this is yum kipoo. I have to pray to
hashem. What do I do? What do I do?
And he gets into the prayer and into the
prayer. He doesn't know what to do. And
it's burning his heart and it's burning
his heart. What do I do? What do I do?
How do I pray to Hashem? How do I pray
to Hashem? How do I pray to Hashem? And
he says all of a sudden, it comes out of
him,
forgive us.
All of a sudden, all of the people in
the Ka saying, "Who's violating the
prayer and disgracing our prayer?"
Saying like a chicken, like a rooster.
He didn't know how to pray.
But the big rabbi in the synagogue was
the Baltov. And Baltov calmed everyone
down.
And at that moment, the Baltov says, "I
knew that the sky, the heavens were
opened because of that boy's prayer."
Cuz that boy's prayer, it wasn't the
words, it was the heart. The heart
opened. The boy's prayer opened the
heavens and Hashem forgave all of Islam
because of that boy.
So
when we pray, we have to make sure we
have to use as much of our heart as we
can. I know we're in a hurry. I know we
have life. I know we have appointments
and this and that and everything. But
you have to make time to pray. If your
prayer is not that good, you have to
make sure that the next one is better.
You have to spend some time with Hashem.
The next thing is also this is something
for all of these science people
that he precedes all the ancients. He's
before everything. There is nothing
before him. A lot of people come, you
know, that they they have doubts and
they want a uh proofs and so on, you
know, but in reality, they're not
looking for proofs.
They're looking for excuses,
excuses not to do something, excuses not
to do mitzvot. So, yeah, but this God of
yours, what became, what came here, what
was there before God? This is a
non-starter question. It's what's called
a non-starter question, a nonsensical
question.
Because if he's God, there is nothing
before him. If he's the creator, he
cannot have a creator himself because
then the creator would be the the
creator's creator would be the creator.
He's not bound to time. So this is a
non-start. This is nonsense. But again
this is also
mentioned here in a uh
when Hashem says
in uh Schmut in Exodus
uh
uh 3:15 again it says this is my name
forever
and this is my remembrance from
generation to generation.
So
when he said that, we already knew that
there's nothing going to be after him.
But on verse 14, he said, God answered
Moses, I shall be as I shall be.
And he said, so shall you say to the
children of Israel, I shall be sent you
to me.
God said forth further to Moses, so
shall you say to the children of Israel,
Hashem, the God of your forefathers, the
God of Abraham, the God of the God of
Yakov, has dispatched me to you.
This is my name forever and this is my
remembrance from generation to
generation.
So the combination of all of everything
they say
here we learn one of the names of Hashem
and you see the the famous name the most
well-known name that we see in a we see
in prayer is the hud ven
from those letters and from the language
that he uses here he's telling you that
there is he is the past he's the present
and he's the future
there's nothing before him there's
nothing other than him here now and
there's nothing ever going to be beyond
him. So anyone that asks one of these
silly questions should really ask
themselves a better question which is
are you interested in the truth or are
you interested in excuses? Excuses. You
don't need a rabbi for that. You don't
need Torah for that. You can make up
excuses for the rest of your life to
live a nonchalant, non-obligated type of
life. And obviously when you find out
that you're wrong, it's already going to
be too late and you won't be able to fix
it. The suffering will be eternal.
Obviously, if you don't believe it right
now, you know, eventually the person
will find out.
On the other hand, if there's a 1%
chance that we're right and the Torah is
right, even if there's a 1% chance, why
would you want to take that risk? So you
have to really ask yourself, do I want
to be
uh proven that there is a significance
to my existence? There is a purpose to
life and do I want actually proofs or do
I want more excuses?
The next thing is there is no worship
to any other besides him.
This is again also a lot of these things
are as you noticed are being violated by
the other religions especially the idol
worship from Christianity and
Catholicism
because one of the main things they do
is even the ones that don't say what the
beginning of their New Testament says
which is that uh you know JC is a part
of God and so on or son of God or is God
or whatever nonsense that they're making
up over there. the people of today, if
you notice, a lot of Christians, what
I've noticed is many Christians have
pretty much made their own version of
what they believe.
Very rarely will you find a Christian
that actually believes what's in the
book because the book contradicts
itself.
On one end, it says
JC is God. On another end, it says he's
the Mashiach. When it shows you the
lineage of the human father who's not
really his father, it's just a person,
Joseph the carpenter. It says Joseph the
carpenter is somehow connected through
his descendants to David. There's 25 in
one page and there's another 25 another
page, but 20 the two 25 sets are don't
match and it's a contradiction of its
own.
Regardless of that,
those people are saying he's the
Messiah.
But wait, the same book said he is God.
So which one is it?
And then so you see a lot of people
today, they're following the
instructions of that false book and
they're making their own belief. They
say, "No, no, he wasn't God and he's not
the Messiah. He was just a rabbi. He was
a really righteous person." And another
person would say, "No, no, he was a
prophet." So they're just continuing
this convoluted story because pretty
much the book itself is convoluted. So
why not just make a new one? There's
already 200,000 versions of the New
Testament. Why not make 200,000 in one
and two and three and four and five?
All of these beliefs, all of them
are false. And a form of idol worship.
Why? Because of this specific
principle of faith says that you're not
allowed to worship anyone aides from
God.
So, anyone that worships JC or even
anyone that worships a rabbi,
unfortunately, there's a lot of people,
foolish people today that have turned
their rabbi into an idol.
Yeah. They've prayed to him. They feel
like they need him in order to get to
God.
They have to go to these far places to
go pray there specifically
because they need to pray to that sadik.
And I can tell you based on the Torah
that Sadik is very very unhappy with
these foolish students of his. You're
not allowed to pray to a person. It
doesn't matter how righteous he was or
who he was. The only person you're allow
the only thing you're allowed to pray to
is God.
The next thing is something that is very
important for us to understand
is
he meaning Hashem knows the thoughts of
man.
He knows what you're thinking.
Even when you're trying to hide it from
your family and friends what you're
thinking and you're trying to hide your
feelings because you want to show like
you're strong and tough and so on. The
reality of it is Hashem knows what
you're thinking. If you're thinking
wicked thoughts, he knows what you're
thinking. If you're thinking good
thoughts, he knows what you're thinking.
This is very important for men and for
women to understand in regards to
modesty.
Women do not understand that one of the
biggest disasters they could bring into
their life and into their family in
regards to marriage is a television.
A television set is the worst thing that
you could bring into your house.
Especially if that television set is
used on a regular basis where the
husband gets home from work and he
watches television and he watches these
shows and another show and another show
and a sports and a show. Why? Why is
this bad? Because if you've ever noticed
what's on television in my past, I used
to watch television and I could tell you
that I don't think anything changed.
No one's ugly. None of the women on
television are ugly.
They're all very, very pretty.
Why on God's green earth would you want
your husband to constantly look at other
women that are pretty?
Because you know that when he gets home
at 9:00 at night from work, he worked in
the garage. He picked up some uh
construction material. He helped some do
some some patients. He's got blood all
over him. You know, he's a mess. You
finished a long day of work.
You finished a long day of work. Whether
it's a professional career or it's
chasing the kids around, whatever it is,
you finished a long day. You're not
looking your best at 9:00 at night. By
the way, usually 9:00 at night, you're
putting pajamas on, you're putting
comfortable clothes. You ready to go to
sleep soon?
So he's home and he looks at the TV and
he has a movie star in front of him
that's half naked. Most of the time
people are naked, but sometimes they
actually have clothes on. And he looks
at her looking her best and he looks at
you looking tab
[Laughter]
and he looks at her like, "Wow." And
look at this one.
And what what does he do next?
Why, Hashem? Why? Why don't I have this
one? Worst possible thing a woman can do
is bring a television to our house. Why?
She's bringing another woman. She's
bringing another woman. What do you
think? He's watching the television set
because he really cares what this woman
says or this guy says and who he's going
to kill and who's not. Everyone knows
how the series is going to end. The good
guys are going to win. The bad guys are
going to die. Every series ends the same
thing.
Why do you want him to watch other
women? No, it's nice. We watch the shows
together. Oh, yeah. You're watching the
show. He's watching women.
Women have to understand that guys do
not think like you.
This is why it's very critical for a
woman to be modest.
She's not modest because
it's just what Hashem said and there's
no rational reason for it despite the
fact that that's enough of a reason
anyway to do it.
It's because Hashem created man with a
different mindset, a different brain, a
different soul. What ends up happening
with a man is that when he looks at a
woman, he immediately thinks with his
brain of how she looks naked.
woman's old, young, when he has no Torah
in his life, that's the first thought.
That's just the way that's that's real
talk. That's the real language. It's
what every guy is at some point or
another. If you have no Torah in your
life, that's the way you think. That's
the way it is. It's reality. Women need
to understand that.
So, when you're making the job easier by
pretty much wearing clothes that's so
tight that he pretty or not wearing any
clothes at all that he pretty much
doesn't need to think about you naked,
he already sees you naked.
What ends up happening is that person is
going to continue thinking like that
even when he's with his wife.
And according to some of Kazal,
those thoughts of a different woman at
the time he's intimate with his wife
could even get to a point where in Sham
they considered the the child coming out
of it a mam.
Not really her child, not really his
child.
This is a problem.
Hashem knows your thoughts.
Clean the garbage out. Best way to clean
the garbage out. Enough with the
television. Enough with all of that
stuff. I know it's a difficult change.
It's one of the most difficult for most
people.
But if you want a happy marriage, first
place you should remove the television
from is your bedroom. If you can't move
it, if you can't remove it from the
living room because the kids and this
and that and whatever, fine. bedroom.
Should never have a television set ever.
What does a woman say? No, no, no. I
would like to watch my sports before I
go to sleep. Okay, so you can watch it
alone and I'm going to divorce you
because you have a television set. Okay.
Okay, please. Where do you want me to
move this? A woman knows how to get what
she wants. You want a good marriage? No
television at all. Why? Because you're
giving you're giving you're putting the
test in front of him. You're putting the
prey in front of the lion and you're
tying the tying the the prey
for what? Guys don't think like women
and Hashem knows what you're thinking.
When you're thinking when you're
watching all this TV, watching all this
women and everything else and you're
praying in reality, you're praying,
you're saying the words, "Yeah, Hashem,
thank you. Hashem, thank you." But
you're thinking about the uh of what you
saw on TV last night. It's not really a
good prayer. It's not really a good
prayer.
The next one says
the prophecy of Moshe our teacher
peace be upon him is true.
This is critical to understand
because
when we read the Torah we have to
understand we have to believe it believe
it in its entirety.
There's no one part we can't believe.
Every word in the Torah has just as much
significance as another word. Every same
thing as the next one. Even though some
you don't even understand. Why did
Hashem mention all the descendants
of Asav? All the descendants of Abel.
According to the which is where we've
learned much of the secret part of the
Torah, he says that the biggest secrets
in a Torah are in those places.
Well, you see this? Why are you even
mentioning this? Okay, what do I care if
he gave a son to two Balkan and two
Balkan did this? Why do I care what
their names are? They're not. They're
not anyone I can learn anything good
from. What do I need to know who their
names are when he gave he had children
with this one and he had children with
that one and this? What? Alisa says
those specific places what he what he's
seen from himself is where he discovered
the most amount of secrets.
This is to give us an understanding that
the Tawat Moshe is
complete. There's nothing there's
nothing more significant than the other.
There's no beginning. There's no end.
It's something that's uh extraordinary.
Also going back to the issue we talked
about in the beginning,
why did Moshe
get pretty much the most important
creation named after him, the Torah,
because
of his humility. How do we know when
came complaining to Moshe
about
food?
What are you complaining to me?
What are we? We're nothing.
What do you mean you're nothing? You're
the leader of you just performed a bunch
of miracles in in Egypt. You talk to God
on a regular basis like you and I are
talking. You don't even need to text.
are you available? He's already
available to you whenever you want.
He said, "No,
we're nothing.
We're nothing." That's why because he
realized
that in comparison to everything which
is Hashem, he's nothing. He got
everything. The name of the Torah is
five books of Moses. It's not five books
of Yon. It's not five books of Joey.
It's five books of Moses. When you
minimize yourself,
Hashem gives you everything.
But really minimize yourself. Not
minimize yourself like you tell people,
"No, no, no, no. I'm nothing. I'm
nothing. I'm nothing." And you're just
looking, seeing, did they realize
one of these guys, one of these people,
that's fake, fake, humble person. It was
a uh an Arab person came into the town
of the Rambam
and he was publicized. This is the most
humble man in history.
most humble man in history.
So he let me let me meet this person. He
sees that everything this guy does, he
follows him. He sees
he's really humble.
But theam says it's not possible to have
humility without
impossible. Why? Because you don't know
the truth. You don't know everything
which is Hashem. So without knowing
Hashem,
there's no way that you would think of
yourself as nothing.
So without Torah there can you cannot be
humble but he sees this is an Arab
person no Torah no nothing but he's
doing all the things that make him seem
like he's humble one day two days one
week two weeks time goes on
at the end of the tripam says wow maybe
I made a mistake I don't know how is it
possible there has to be something I'm
missing over here at the end this Arab
comes to me goes to to uh to Rambam and
says See, isn't it true that I'm the
most humble person?
And says, "Ah,
I knew there wasn't a mistake."
The guy is a fake. He's just a good
actor.
If you run away from pride like we're
supposed to, Hashem will give you
everything. But if you run away from
pride, but you look back to see if the
pride is chasing you, then you have a
problem. Then you're not really humble.
And Moses is the greatest of all
prophets.
This is critical to know because again
there are many prophets that came after
Mosheu.
People that are not learning Torah
will sometimes
mistransate some of the prophecies they
have in different books especially from
you know Christian sources and so on.
This is already a guarantee from a
Torah. There's no such thing as someone
bigger than Moshe. This is already
several verses in a Torah that says that
no prophet will ever be bigger than
Moshe. We've talked about this many
times. Why do we mention this?
Because as big as Moshe was,
that he was the go that took us out of
Egypt. That a part of his soul is going
to be part of the Mashiach. that he
received the Torah, that he speaks to
Hashem, that he gave us all the
prophecies, that the Torah is named
after him, as big as he was,
Hashem almost killed him
when in the beginning of the Exodus
verse 4:24,
it says,
"It was on the way in the lodging when
Mosherenu pretty much when he left the
house of to go to Egypt. He had a
newborn son
that was just born and it was time to do
the Milah. We already had the laws of
Milah before we got the Torah on Mount
Si.
The mah was already since Abraham.
So on the eighth day, you have to give a
boy unless he's sick.
Moses knew that in the desert to give a
brea is dangerous.
This is the reason why
is during the 40 years they were in the
desert did not do
all the all of them did once they went
to Israel there was a huge mountain of
that was a lot of tum but was did uh
that Joshua made everyone do which we'll
go over another time but nonetheless
Moses we haven't gotten to yet
technically
Moses just got this position he doesn't
really
But according to Hashem, he's going to
be remembered and believed in forever.
Hashem has given him a guarantee that
they're going to believe in you forever.
They're going to believe in me and you.
It's putting him putting him in the same
sentence.
But here Moses made the mistake
of delaying the
saying
Maybe we'll do the brick once we get to
Egypt instead of on the way.
It was on the way in the lodging. They
got to the hotel and and Moshe instead
of doing the brick in the lodging in the
hotel, he decided that no, we're going
to do it once we get to Egypt. We're
going to delay it a day or two.
That the sheman counted him and sought
to kill him.
This is not a commentary. This is an
actual verse in the Torah.
He sought to kill him. Why?
So Tipah took a sharp stone and cut off
the foreskin of her son and touched it
to his feet and she said, "You caused my
bride's groom bloodshed. So you released
him." Then she said, "A bridegroom
bloodshed was because of circumcision."
So the most significant person in
history,
the one that the only reason we have
this, you know, this Torah we got from
him,
Hashem did not have mercy
to say, "No, it's okay for you to delay
this mitzvah. No big deal. I don't care.
Violate Shabbat, no big deal. Don't do
me on the eighth day even though you
can, no big deal. Want to eat nonosha?
No big deal. Want to walk around like a
prostitute? No big deal." He didn't say
any of that. if he didn't give even the
most significant person in history even
before we got the Torah an extra day an
extra hour to do Milah
what makes us think that Hashem is just
going to say nah no big deal you can do
whatever you want this is very important
to know when we realize that
Moses was the most significant of all
the Nim all of the prophets
what it should remind us of is that Even
he was subject to judgment,
reward and punishment. Everyone's the
same
that Hashem gave us Torah.
Torah was given from God. It wasn't
written by Moses. It wasn't written by
uh anyone after. It wasn't written by
the rabbis.
Torah is from God.
This is important to know because again
a lot of when you don't know Torah it's
very easy to think that somebody else
wrote it. But if you spend just a couple
of hours watching the uh movie the
purpose of life by Rab Misrai the most
recent one or perhaps one that uh I like
even more that's the new one. If I like
even more, I like the old one which is
four hours. Has three parts which is
Torah and science. Has the same
information just even more.
You spend four hours and you arrive at a
indisputable
understanding that the Torah could only
be given from God. There's no way that
any human being could have written it.
One of the best examples I think that's
you know very rational for the rational
thinkers is that the first thing they
had that Moses had to do as soon as he
came down is let people know that the uh
uh the laws and one of the laws meant
that you know a person cannot marry his
aunt.
His parents were married. She was his
aunt. His father was the nephew of his
mother which means that Moses had to
tell his parents to get divorced.
Now, if some if Moses wrote the Torah,
he would want to make his life easier
and that the worst thing he could
possibly do is tell his parents to get
divorced.
Why would he want to tell his parents to
get divorced if he wrote the Torah?
The second thing is on for the rational
people is that the very same people that
the Torah is written about
are the very same ones that are getting
the Torah. Which means that if anything
that was written in the Torah didn't
happen, one of them would say so. It
says in the Torah that is saw the words
of God. They saw the sounds, saw it, not
heard it, saw the words of God and heard
the words of God.
So if one of the millions of people that
were there did not see something or did
not hear the words of God, you would
say, "Hey, Moshe, you wrote this in the
Torah that I heard the God talking to
you. I didn't hear anything. Torah is
canceled.
If somebody disagreed, that's it. This
is it cannot be. So for those that are
rational, you look at the rational
points. For those that are scientific
want proofs, there's countless things
we've gone over in previous videos and
and also in Torah and science. It says
it even much more to much more
extensive. There's countless prophecies
and promises within the Torah
that cannot have been for mankind. like
that you will ne you know you'll have
fish with scales but no with um fins but
no scales but you'll never have a fish
with just scales but no fins.
In order for anyone to know such a thing
they would have had to know all of the
cre creatures and creations which at
this point we know of over two million
creatures all over two million species.
So this also includes mutations and so
on. There's never been a fish with just
scales.
A snake is not a fish. For anyone that
thinks a snake is a fish, it's not a
fish.
The next thing that's important, we're
almost done.
The Torah will never change.
For anyone that thinks they supposed to
modernize the Torah, it does not change.
That's why the uh Hashem calls this
is a covenant forever. Forever means
forever, eternity. Doesn't change
because it's 2016 in secular years. It
doesn't change because we have cars. It
doesn't change because we have planes.
It doesn't change because you don't feel
like it. It doesn't change because it's
tough.
Doesn't change.
This is one of the foundations of being
Jewish. understanding and believing full
faith. The Torah will never change
that Hashem blessed is he punishes the
wicked and grants good reward to the
righteous.
This is critical to understand because
unfortunately in today, especially in
America, we've talked about this many
times. The whole concept of reward and
punishment is no longer being taught to
the mass public. I don't know what's
happening. The is getting stronger and
stronger, but for some reason, people
are led to believe that they can do
whatever they want and every every Jew
has a share of the world to come because
they read it in the prayer on Shabbat.
That's only a 10% or 5% of a Mishna
where it says every Jew has a share of
the world to come. The other 95% of that
Mishna says and this is a kushin
and these are the Jews that do not have
a share of the world to come and it
lists a list of sins. One of them
obviously being
and so on. So that Mishna doesn't
mention the whole Mishna because it
takes several pages. But for some
reason, people don't learn Taw to which
again I spent most of my life not
learning Tawra. You know, you would it's
easy for us to believe, especially if a
rabbi says it or a guy says he's a
rabbi. No, no, don't worry about just
givea. Don't worry about it. Oh, yeah.
Shabbat. No big deal. No big deal. Don't
worry about it. When when we're not when
we're not taught about reward and
punishment,
unfortunately, we are not very different
from the Christians. We're not very
different from uh the Muslims. They're
not very different from, you know,
pretty much idol words, idol
worshippers. Uh why? Because that's the
life they live. No, there's no uh reward
and punishment. It's all karma and good
good luck and fortune and nonsense.
Hashem is specifically telling you there
is reward to the righteous. There's
punishment to the wicked. Day of
judgment will come
and we better have a collection of
diamonds of mitzvot by the time we get
toem.
Next thing is what we've talked about
several times in the past which is
that the mashiach will come. We're all
supposed to believe and
uh understand that the mashiach will
come very very soon.
Personally, I hope that he takes a
little bit of time, but I know he's
going to come very soon just because we
want to help more people do chuva.
Um,
this is the a um resurrection of the
dead.
Someone that wants to convert and does
not believe even something like this
that sounds mystical that the Hashem
will revive the dead
cannot convert.
So why do people have a problem
believing that Hashem will resurrect the
dead? Because they're thinking with
their flawed human mind. They're
thinking that, you know, someone's dead,
they can't come back to life.
What they should actually think before
that is that actually resurrecting the
dead should be easier than anything else
God has ever done. Because the fact that
you're here is a bigger miracle than him
resurrecting the dead. Because what does
a person come to? Come from comes from
nothing. Comes from a put seed. Out of
300 million seeds that leave the male
body, only one tiny tiny little one that
you can't even see with the naked eye.
You need a microscope to see. And the
chances of that seed succeeding by
itself is something of an anomaly
to go with the egg. Actually, this
putrid little seed turns into this whole
human being giving you a lecture today.
Comes from nothing
and you have everything. So what? We're
resurrecting the dead. You have the
bones. The bones don't disintegrate.
So you already have half the job done.
What's so hard to believe? And again, if
it's the same God that's written in the
Torah, it's so hard to believe.
These are the 13 principles of faith
that we must understand. And also keep
in mind in regards to the resurrection
of the dead, Hashem has done it several
times in the Torah. We did it twice when
we received the Torah, when we uh got
ten commandments. As remember, I told
you in last time I was here, I think
each time Hashem spoke one of the
commandments, all of Am died. They
couldn't handle it. They died. Hashem
brought them back to life. Said the
second commandment, they died. And then
Hashem uh, you know, then they, you
know, uh, pleaded with Moshe, stop uh,
stop him from talking. Please, you go
talk to him. We'll do whatever he says
or else we'll die.
Uh the second time that Hashem did it is
actually during one of the um in a neim
and during the pro the books of the
prophets where uh he revived the tribe
of afflime tribe of left mit
before the rest of Isra because they
thought that the uh time for exile was
then they were wrong about timing and
they were all massacred by the
philistines
the Philistines. So uh hundreds of years
later, I think it was around 800 years
later, Hashem brought the prophet over
there and uh I think it's uh called dry
bones. And uh he says, "What do you
think of these dry bones? Can they be
brought back?" And he said, "Only you
know, Hashem." What does it mean only
you know? Only you you know their deeds
because if those if these people were
people that were jealous,
they can't be revived. Hashem will not
revive them. If these people are wicked,
he's not going to revive them.
Only you know. Not because only these
say only you know because only you know
if you can do it. Of course he can do
it. That wasn't the question. He said
only you know because only you know if
they're worthy enough of being revived.
So he's he also did it. Hundreds of
people came back to life then. So this
happened many many times. to finalize
and summarize everything.
Ultimately, what this para in the
beginning and all of it is telling us as
far as learning about all of these
garments is that we have to be very very
precise and as precise as possible with
our
uh work of Hashem's Torah, work of
Hashem's. We have to try as hard as
possible. Hashem shows you here that he
cares. He cares about every single part.
He cares that you try as hard as
possible. He doesn't necessarily judge
you based on your execution.
He judges you based on your effort.
If your effort is 100%, Hashem already
knows what you're able to and what he's
going to allow you to do. He judges you
based on your effort. If he knows you
truly tried 100% to do a certain
mitzvah, he reward you as if he did it.
If you want to do a mitzvah
but you become a noose for example you
want to go and a uh you know give a
shield to somewhere but something
happens and you can't give the shield to
something beyond your your uh your
ability or if you want to donate money
you have money set aside to donate discs
as soon as it comes time to pay for the
dish you go oh somebody stole the money
but you you're ready to do the mitzvah
Hashem considers as if you did the
mitzvah 100%.
If you're really going to, you know,
ready to study Torah,
something happened, something serious,
not like a customer called, something
serious happened, health issue, some
type of crisis happened, you can't study
this hour that you're supposed to study,
and you really are somebody that studies
every day. Hashem counts it as if you
study at the highest level during that
that hour.
So he's not judging you based on your uh
execution. He's judging you based on
your effort.
So if we exert our effort
then we can build our beton.
If we build our
then we're connected to Hashem on a very
very deep level. We get special
protection. We have the special
protection. It becomes very very easy
for us to have these 13 principles of
faith become part of our life. A
permanent part of our life or Hashem is
on our mind at all times. If these 13
principles of faith are permanent part
of our life, it's very very easy for us
to live a righteous life. And the last
thing that you want to think about is
what
said
says reflect on three things
and you will not come to the heads of a
transgression to the hands of a
transgression.
Know from where you came,
where you're going, and before who you
are destined to give a judgment and
accounting.
From where you came from putrid drop
where you're going to a place of dust,
maggots, and worms, and before whom
you're destined to give a judgment, an
accounting before the supreme king of
kings, the holy one. Blessed is he.
If we realize that we came from nothing,
we're going to nothing and we're going
to be in front of Hashem. Ultimately,
this is not to depress us. This is to
make us realize that this life, we're
here to work. We're here to collect
diamonds. We're here to collect mitzvot
because the real life that's waiting for
us is eternal. And it's up to our work
here whether that eternal is going to be
eternal good or not.
All of these teachings will give to all
of all of the people we mentioned all of
you and uh little by little we're all
getting closer and closer to Hashem. Any
questions?
Amen. Amen.
