Good evening. Good evening to everybody.
The MS MS
like picture what just happened.
Yidden were speaking. The main part of
the event just happened. It's like we're
delaying starting.
Picture what just happened. Some guy had
the audacity. I'm like one of the
awkward makers in our people.
I I I'm sorry I had to learn. My wife, I
say a shiur Shabbos afternoon. It's my
wife, my sister. They started this lady
shiur. Today it's like a huge shiur.
We're up to 12, sometimes 15 ladies. And
every Shabbos afternoon I go upstairs
and I learn my shiur. I learn with the
chevre. When I Before I come up, the
shmoozing is schmoozing up there with
the ladies.
And I'm pacing. I say to myself,
"Daniel, they're up there." So I'm not
going up there. They're talking. They're
talking. It's so good. People are
talking. Yidden are talking. It's a big
thing.
Not in the funny way, not in a Just a
big thing. It's a big deal. Two Yidden
are shmoozing, giving each other chizuk.
It's a big deal. I walk into the room
upstairs. I climb the steps. All of a
sudden it gets awkward. It's quiet. A
second ago this room was magical. It's a
shmak.
So people are talking. Yidden are like
enjoying bringing bamos. Bamos, all of a
sudden now it's quiet. I Look what I
just did.
Mamesh Mamesh a big sin. Mamesh. Mamesh
this guy with a loud mouth shmoozing.
The room was so nice. People were like
shmoozing. Like really enjoying each
other. Bamos.
Bamos, people are going to look. It was
so nice a minute ago. Now it's like
quiet and awkward.
Please, make it tasty.
So the only way I earn you a right. The
only way you earn a right you earn a ton
is crazy. The quiet what was just going
on is not not a pushit thing.
That's the iker people. Yidden are
shmoozing with each other. Who are you?
What are you going to do bigger in the
world?
My father used time like nobody I ever
met in my life. His usage of time his
day was crazy.
In old age, what he did in a day was
wild. It was like bizarre. Literally,
his day was
like hard to imagine what he would do in
a day in a month. Could I do this? Not a
normal day. He would finish Shas every
year. He was a rosh kollel. A lot of
what other guys finish kollel. He was a
rosh yeshiva of a Sephardi yeshiva. All
I'm talking about at the same time.
Saying good after yom tov,
raising crazy money for the stock. It's
crazy. Like his day was absurd. My
father wouldn't miss any chasunah. Zero.
But not a not not a didn't miss the
chasunah. Wouldn't miss a vort, a
l'chaim.
And but not there was no kvetch. I never
heard him say went
to go to a yiddishe simcha.
Say if the guys in the yeshiva invited
my father to the chasunah, he went.
But zero. It wasn't like They would My
parents nightly went to simchas. For
somebody whose day was packed and was
busy, was writing a doshei Torah. But
another yiddishe simcha was like pashut
pashut to celebrate and he was dancing
at the chasunahs. Was part of the
chasunah. Another yiddishe simcha.
To yidden schmoozing and farbreng. Here
there was a big thing. The only way you
have a right that I just quieted
Otherwise, I'm like the baal aveira of
the generation mamash. So the only way
you could look in the mirror that you
come to moleisis and have some people
put a zaffa brengin and people are quiet
is if whatever you're going to say and
do is going to cause better and more
talking.
If yidden are going to talk better and
more to each other, then maybe say
something that will cause yidden to talk
better to each other. Then you have a
right. If you're going to quiet people
in shul, so you're saying talk to Hashem
and then we'll talk to each other nicer.
Then you could say shh. If what you're
going to do is going to promote better
talking and more talking, so then okay.
It's okay. So then maybe say so. I hope
it's the after the shmayah.
We'll sing together. We'll share the
great Torah, but it should promote more
talking that you didn't should talk
better to each other and more to each
other and with more ever. So then okay,
so then you could tell somebody, "Do you
mind if we just talk more and better
then then you have a right." That's only
right. It means a lot
to the what Reb Mo arranged this. We're
extremely close. We're We've been close
for years. Mamish achim mamish brothers.
He started the Yeshiva was one of the
chevre that started the mesifta. He's
somebody we we started a community
together, Yeshiva together, and just
have been close for many many years.
Everything beautiful about about the
Yeshiva.
A love of Yiddishkeit, a love of life,
taking cut talents and using them to
serve Hashem. Everything that that is
the Yeshiva is Mo, is Reb Mo, is Rabbi
Leizer Schein. And I just appreciate he
gave me this opportunity to be in
friends. My son know chanam when he
would date, he dated he's married a girl
in Chicago he would date. He used to
call when he went to Chicago for dates
it was an away game. Then he came back
to Connecticut called it a home game.
Home game, away game, home game. I just
want to say Ralph, this is a home game.
Here I feel
very very comfortable here and just very
much Avi Jaffe to be Reb Avi in your
presence. Everybody here. Reb Leifer is
somebody I look up to a lot.
The mishpacha, the chesed of the family
is loyal. This is Leifer is a ba'al
chesed like generational. What she'll do
for another person is wild. I've been
the recipient others in our community.
The chesed, the Torah of the family,
they're incredible really incredible
people. So to be with the whole Yonatan
Joshua, Menachem. Josh fought for our
people.
My father was mechabed a soldier. I saw
this. A soldier passed by wasn't shtick.
It was a very serious a soldier. My
father was mechabed a guy fought for our
people.
The energy of that is crazy. The energy
is a guy fought for our people. I'm
telling you what happened. The guy took
a gun and fought for the dignity of our
people. That's That's wild. Remember
Nachman Ziemba.
He was killed in the Warsaw Ghetto. He
was Nifter. Beautiful if you ever seen
the safer tight source amongst the
swarm. Remember Nachman Ziemba. Remember
there's a story that I believe that I
believe
it's very hard to have stories in the
Warsaw Ghetto because the Yidden were
killed.
But there was there like three survivors
in a pipe they hid. We have a few
stories precious few from the Warsaw
Ghetto and one story is a Yid came to
remember Nachman Ziemba
and he said Rabbi I have three days left
in my life. All of us he said what I
said I'm a I'm one of the big fighters I
was making bombs. He said in three days
we're all done.
Three days that's it. So he said what
should I do the last three days of my
life forever.
He had said to remember Nachman Ziemba a
shadow like that.
Remember Nachman Ziemba said kill Nazis.
Finish. You learn a little
maybe diving. He said kill Nazis. He
said I can't think of anything greater
in the world than a ram a scare and you
throw I stand up for Yidden.
I stand up Hashem's loves Am Yisrael. I
stand up a Yid's a big thing by me. He
said have that in mind I can't think of
a greater way of facing Hashem.
Three days have in mind I defend the Yid
I defend the honor.
So Rabbi Josh it's an honor to be here
an honor to be in your presence. I thank
Rabbi Eizner. It's just it's a pleasure.
We all this is a chevre we know each
other.
Rabbi Miller you put together last
minute is very very very appreciated.
What?
Huh? I thank Mrs. Laser Senate. Amazing
people. They should have nachas,
tremendous nachas from their children,
from their whole family, just tremendous
nachas. I appreciate that they opened
their home so last minute to Ralph to
allow us to come together. I want to
share divrei Torah. There's a lot of
things I want to do, but such a
gathering of avodah, we should sing the
Bardichever before we do anything. That
would make sense to me. The most sense
to me. The My songs are better without
words.
I can't say Words are good. Songs
without words give more freedom.
So anybody can have in mind whatever
they want. I like praying with the
Bardichever song that Hashem should give
us good einayim, to see good in
ourselves and good in other Yidden, but
real, but real. To see a Yid, the
Bardichever's middah, he wasn't like
good to our people, he was in the
shtaiming from our people.
His Torah was one he was amazed by our
people, the Bardichever. He was amazed.
If you know about the Bardichever, he's
rooted in din.
You think like so nice. His name was
Levi Yitzchak. He's rooted in din. Levi
is din. The Kohanim are chesed, Levi'im
are din. Yitzchak is gevurah, is din. He
was rooted in din. What he was to Yidden
wasn't like a a middah of like of like
like seeing good in people. He He
understood what a Yid is. It's din. It's
rooted in just the metzius. A Yid is a
big thing. A Yid is overwhelmingly big.
So Hashem should give us such einayim.
The Bardichever together.

>> Thank you,
Thank you. Thank you,
Good call, Aaron.
I've been so excited to go for the last
2 and 1/2 years.
I've been so excited to travel around
with to thousands of Yidden.
We've traveled long distances.
I felt like a calling after what we went
through Simchas Torah. I felt like I
wanted to just see our people. And see
in in at we all have our stations to
like try to unite our people.
And I was so excited to go with
to thousands of Yidden.
And
and I want to express an appreciation
that Shlomo's his voice is gorgeous,
angelic, but a person who's humble,
who's who's willingness to sing, to go
out there and he sang for we've sang for
big big crowds.
But he also people come to Yeshiva. By
us chasidim, when somebody comes you
make a bid. Reb Mo here, we came last
minute. It's such a keyboard here. It's
Rabbitson put out. Jojo, by us chasidim,
somebody comes you bring a bowl of
fruit, some vegetables. Like a keyboard,
it's like
You're so sweet. Thank you, Jojo. Thank
you. L'chaim l'chaim.
So
>> [laughter]
>> brought to the
It's for you, Reb Mo.
>> [laughter]
>> But um
but I want to express that when somebody
comes to Yeshiva, so I want to be a bid.
A Yid comes to Yeshiva. People come a
lot to Yeshiva. Constantly people are
coming, baruch Hashem.
There's a drawer, the chevra's honest
people growing honestly, and hundreds of
people come. And
dozens and dozens, probably hundreds of
times, has sang for one man, for
one mother and her son coming, for one
bochur.
To me, like I want to be mechabed. So,
it's easy for me. I
serve. I ask I'm like
embarrassed when it like is a
bochur. Please, please, it's no problem.
To sing for one Yid, to sing The reason
I think he's zocheh to sing for
thousands of Yid, Yidden, is cuz he
sings for one Yid, the same way he sings
for the and I I can't tell the
difference if he's in front of thousands
or singing from one zayde that came from
Russia, Yid a tzaddik, a Yid came to
Yeshiva the other day. He sang like he
sang to big crowds. So, just I
appreciate you sharing with us
all. Thank you, Thank you.
>> [applause]
>> We went to two motzei Shabbos calls. He
sang for 200 kids. They were from public
school. They were in public schools. So,
we was singing for them. So, kids
came at first. It was lebedig. They had
phones like ready to wave. It was like a
shmad.
Three minutes and all the phones went
down. People were crying. I'm not being
megasim. People Yidden like this saw it.
It was not what they thought of. They
were coming phones gishmak like lebedig.
Everything just stopped. People were
crying. Eliyahu Werdyger was there.
He said, "We have this in Yeshiva every
day." He like couldn't believe it. Like
people were just It was It was a pella.
Singing, Yidden getting together and
singing.
By by nature, I I I have stage fright, a
serious stage fright. I don't like when
people get nervous and call it stage
fright because for anybody who has it
real, you can't breathe. I've been
called up to say daf to and I've sat
down.
I've been called up to read daf to and
another person took over. It's happened
multiple times to me. I can't breathe. I
feel like I'm I'm just not not
functional.
And there's a journey. What do you do
with stage fright? It's an anxiety like
any anxiety.
But one of the things that's like helped
cure with
Matan Torah
and this is probably if if I have to say
what the Yeshiva's taught me
and what it's bringing to our people and
people are tapping in is it's not a what
the guys would call a forced chill.
People think you have to make something.
You have to create.
And what the Yeshiva really has taught
me is you didn't sitting like this and
you share it with Torah like a big
thing. It's real.
You don't have to make so much. Anybody
in Chinuch and even a head of a family
is good at making a good matzah blitz.
Let's make something to schmeck. I come
here you don't have to make anything.
Two Yidden sit by the way and they talk
to each other and like really encourage
the next guy. It's like a big big light.
It's a big thing.
Two Yidden learn, they study they study.
It's a big thing.
You don't have to make things. You don't
have to make something. The pressure to
create and make a good schmekel chill.
It's the whole shul's talking by
davening. They didn't kill anything. A
Yid talks to Hashem.
You think somebody can disrupt a Yid's
connection to Hashem? The reason people
shouldn't talk by davening cuz
davening's a real thing. It's cuz you
can't destroy it. You didn't destroy
anything. Zero. The tone of Hashem
A guy is on eating guy I go out A guy
goes out with his wife like on a big
date. The room's talking. They heard the
thing. Trust me there's no end of our
cuz a A Yid's talking to God nobody
could hurt it.
Somebody shouldn't talk in shul roof cuz
it's a real thing. That's why they
shouldn't talk cuz cuz it's a big thing
to talk to Hashem.
But with the understanding and the guys
have taught me the understanding you
don't need a forced chill nothing.
>> [clears throat]
>> So then a rebbe comes in don't be
It used to be the thing was to be very
gishmack. I'll tell you something
interesting interesting.
This can't be recorded.
>> I'm on the next speaker. I don't know.
>> You're at who spoke when?
Ruben didn't speak.
When we go when we went down to
Mitzrayim
so it says by Yocum
a new king comes and he
doesn't know Yocum.
Now Yocum had said that he's the year
who came alone to Mitzrayim one and the
whole country went wild from a year went
wild from him.
The entire country one year came
and [snorts] he was and
said about him and he
said
do you know anybody did you ever meet a
person like this?
He captured the whole country went wild
from a year who was sincere was
authentic who was
Yocum
and the whole country goes nuts.
The
says it's not typical of how we learn.
We say
the the brothers the brothers I mean
I mean
what was the big I that the that the
brothers encounter when he said I need
Yocum.
What the
Yocum is based on the
Yocum is the way I understand that the
energy that hit Yocum is
is that we missed the the energy that
hit the brothers is we missed the
Yocum's light.
Here we had a brother and they thought
him to be another year
our our brother was like a light now
he's in Mitzrayim and the whole
Mitzrayim is just falling the nice
Yocum
the whole Egypt's going crazy from
Yocum.
What hit the brothers is the light
[cough] that they missed.
I think it's the biggest in the world. I
I very much
youngsters have described to me and I
could relate to this a lot. You have a
guy lying in bed for like 3 weeks and he
shaved. He's not going to shave. He's
not doing anything. He drags his body
and he goes to shave.
Guys have described the darkness when
you go to shave and you see people
excited and it doesn't mean anything.
To you it's like isn't it a schmuck? It
means nothing. It doesn't mean It
doesn't mean anything to me. I'm hearing
people learn. It's real. Don't pretend
to anybody. Hearing people learn doesn't
mean anything. Other people
Is it right with such an amazing and the
guy will describe I'm in the shave. It
doesn't mean anything. That's a deep
darkness. It's hard. Inside a person
being honest. Remember I was learning
with a group of a couple of weeks ago.
We had a
in
I thought it was magnificent the
Torah was screaming fighting and like
threw a chair. David said his own. The
after an hour said that meant nothing to
me. I thought that was so
I was just I don't know what I don't
know what you were so excited about.
It's I
I maybe had equal
to the
of the
as to the honesty of the year. It wasn't
for me.
And that's
itself is I can't find the earth. It
doesn't seem like it matters to me.
That's and what hit the brothers is that
there was a tremendous light that we're
not always in touch with. I used to
was a light from one end of the world to
the other. We didn't see it.
And that's itself. That's not like
That's itself. There's a Hester on him.
And we got to
and takes root is
this is
who's a light from one end of the world
to the other
who's not this. He doesn't see the
beauty of the year. He's not
from a year.
And it's not just how they see us. Of
course that's the
how we see us.
That becomes that we lose a sense that
my it matters a lot.
And ghoul is when we take out the CI
system we have the essence, the light,
the beauty of a year. It's a big thing.
It's not a cute slogan. Hashem have
a moment Israel above.
Esther upon him when Hashem hides his
people hide too. The people that that
are that are the people of Hashem that
are there through their journeys,
through their own stories and their own
battles and struggles and their prayers
and their success bring tremendous to my
home. The Esther of
Hashem this year we don't realize it
doesn't seem to matter. Doesn't seem to
count the value of what he does. That
way that it feel of a year. The tire of
a year. The unique each one's unique
soggy unique learning.
And what I have learned in Yeshiva and
I've come to appreciate is the value of
a year. It's a big thing. Very very big.
It's not
it's not always the loud and and and
everybody we celebrate. It's not true.
And people will point to struggling and
I can't believe we just came from a
the holiness of a
I saw him the whole day was
we don't people don't know.
And we're not good evaluators of
something. It's interesting. I was
talking talking today as a staff of the
Yeshiva as a parent. So you have dreams
for your children and that's right.
That's right. And you should even fight
for their success and picture how the
success could be. That's fine. You have
to do that as a Yeshiva. Also know that
we know nothing.
You know you know the
you know the of this
you know how this
you don't know anything. Be honest. We
don't know. We don't know. There's a guy
struggling you saw him run.
I think it's sad that
I I have I have a guy I'm close to he's
40. It's hard for him to get out of bed
for the last 25 years. I brought him to
the told me he's from the biggest
neshama in the world. I I know the
person.
That he is a void is very big.
I want to marry children.
We don't know. We don't like know the
tikkun of a neshama. We still should
dream and dream and push ourselves, of
course. But each person in your own
story and your own circumstance, pray.
Learn Torah. Shine the light in your
place. It's not a competitive thing.
It's not trying who could do the most
and stand that's not what it is.
But you're significant and matters and
the beauty of his kidush Hashem that he
brings is crazy significant. I want to
share this with Reb Nachman. I come here
there's much Torah we can study and
learn.
I think the galus itself as we lose
sight of
Yeshua Yesef.
The light of the rejected one becomes
doesn't mean anything. That's like galus
itself. That's the Hester Panim. Hashem
hides means the people that Shem
the people who are the Am Hashem Am
K'ravei are hidden the value of the
Yidden.
And I think the goal is the discovery of
it's a big thing in the neshama of
Hashem's people. Hashem's
people.
Reb Miller used to say Reb Miller was
very careful with his words. He said
this to Emunahs.
The Emunah closest to Hashem means
and Anachnu Yisrael Amali.
Two Emunahs Reb Miller I heard these
words from his mouth. He said He said I
don't know which Emunah is more
important.
We think we know. There's a big Emunah
Anachnu Yisrael Amali with the Am
Hashem.
I don't like when it's viewed like the
people of Hashem like Klal Yisrael is a
theory. I'm Klal Yisrael, you are, you
are, Yoel, you are. It's not like a
theoretical. If it's in the loaf, it's
in the Klal Yisrael. You say Klal
Yisrael, it's like no one, it's to me
and you. It's the try to like shush down
the Klal Yisrael. I don't try to shush
down, I am Klal Yisrael, so are you.
Shush down. It It dawned on me since
Hamas is my rebbe in this, since Simchas
Torah, I learned us hostages, what
happened to us, we had in the weirdness
of a Yehudi. There was a serach ben
Ayid.
I knew Not I'm Not like, "Oh, Klal
Yisrael tried to shush down." A Yehudi.
Like people have I have when we were in
hostage. I have a Yehudi. I'm a Yid.
I'm Klal Yisrael. I sit at the seder.
I'm not trying to shush down to our
people. My family's in the middle of the
journey. We haven't gotten there to
Eretz Yisrael yet.
We've left Mitzrayim as a people. We
haven't had the geulah yet. We're in the
middle of the story. You could look at
your table. That's The story is like
happening to us. We're in the middle.
We're not trying to shush down. We're
Klal Yisrael.
And the galus itself is a shaliach
Hashem. We lose sight our own
preciousness and the preciousness of the
Yid.
And the geulah is the recognition, is
discovering Mashiach ben David who will
bring the base hamikdash be yameinu.
Discovering Hashem and Hashem's people.
And Hashem's people.
That's like there's in on Shabbos on
Shabbos Avi in Yeshiva, so I try to be
strict on the korbon by davening before
Kabbalas Shabbos. Even during Kabbalas
Shabbos, if there's a lot of talking, I
don't go. I let the guys go.
Even during Kabbalas Shabbos, it's a
beautiful minyan. Minyan's holy. But I
like the chevre greets like crazy and I
like it.
Cuz I If If Reb Mo, if you and an old
you and an old water bag and you and
Yitzchak ben Ayid get together, what's
the first thing you do before you
shmooze too much? You make sure his kids
are comfortable. You make sure your kids
are comfortable.
Nachas after the kids are settled, you
could choose two old friends get
together. First settle in the children.
Kabbalah Shabbos you have to Hashem
comes with his family.
You have to settle in the children. The
guys greet each other.
I don't know how you could start
Kabbalah Shabbos before the kids are
settled. That was the Sh'china comes
with his kids. Make sure So people are
greeting each other. They can go the
whole Kabbalah Shabbos.
Talk talk forget. Greet each other.
Recognize each other. Hashem comes with
the Sh'china. After he says Israel Am
with the people of Hashem.
The Emes famous but see it on ourselves.
Not a cheap slogan. Not a cheap slogan.
See on ourselves a year is a big thing.
The Kiddush Hashem of a year. The unique
journey of a year. The unique prayer of
a year. The unique station and situation
that all of us find. Golus is a
complicated place.
It's brought us to many different
stations. But where we are shine a
light. Now we have a right to dream.
We have a right. We want a guy every guy
want every guy like Moses running a
school, building a home. We want every
guy. Don't want a guy 40 that is that is
that is in such sad.
But I also know that I don't know. If
you only think what your dream is is the
whole story, there's an arrogance to it.
We don't know. Yeah, I never got a
message each of my kids what their
tikkun is in this world.
I don't know. I mamish don't know. If
you know if you know you don't know,
then you're better off.
Now you still can have dreams. You still
can have dreams. It's good to dream but
also know.
And then each of us in our own stations
that were put shine a beautiful light.
I see what you do Aaron is
I'm amazed by you each time we meet.
Each time we meet you're shining a
beautiful light. Beautiful or beautiful
light. You're shining a very very
precious light like a serious precious
light.
The whole the whole nays of the menorah
which starts the whole winter. The
winter starts from Hanukkah, brings us
ushers in the winter. Ushers in the
galus in the dark times. The purpose of
the nays of the menorah Menachem.
What the nays do for us? Every miracle
we celebrate, we were saved.
The miracle of Hanukkah, God had
something. What did we have?
By us the mitzvah, we wanted to do the
mitzvah. You're an anus, you're patur.
What did we get from the mitzvah?
What did we get? The nays was for
Hashem.
They don't sell it. What do we real
people.
Why am I getting for us? So I should
celebrate that I love Hashem.
So how do you What's What happened to
me? What happened to you the nays of
Hanukkah?
The Sfas Emes explains that we're
celebrating is that Hashem wants the
avodah of every Yid.
The The Bach says it came as shashlu
b'avodah that we thought our avodah
doesn't count.
What does it matter my avodah?
And the nays is Hashem saying the avodah
of every Yid counts. I watch guys in the
yeshiva light their Hanukkah, you could
lose your mind.
My son Moishe came like a tameh.
A bachur we didn't think cared about
anything. Like The way he lit the
menorah, you couldn't believe it.
You could watch in the yeshiva. We don't
make like a big thing with chevre. We
don't try to make it. Guys don't like
forced chills.
The sincerity, you could lose your mind.
I I I lit late. I like my father lit
very on time, but I'm an anus. Now I
said Daniel, you couldn't leave again,
right? I can't get out. If you watch,
you stay a little, you're stuck. You
watch guys come and light the menorah,
and it's mind-blowing.
Cuz the sincerity, the mitzvah itself,
maybe I don't know if there's another
mitzvah that like talks to the heart of
Am Yisrael. Cuz the avodah of a Yid
matters. His light, shine your light.
It's just true in your own station,
shine it nicely. We all were beautiful
people. We all have our stations, our
unique stations, and we have to shine
our light. The That's right with our
shame one stuff with the year. Each one
each one in his station. Stop with the
competition. The shark, the weak, that's
nonsense. Nonsense other nons not it's
not a scholastic race Judaism. That's
like [snorts] law school. That's a
different thing.
Yiddishkeit is that way to be a year.
In on the plane I was reading the book
I've read before the quest for
authenticity of Chisholm.

that way to be a sincere year.
