Shir Soul music band - 6.6.13 gig log @ MTA High School Graduation

hey guys it's david here hi i'm jesse and jesse's helping me out today we're going to do another gig vlog for you beautiful june day june 6th we're in front of yeshiva university mta high school for graduation we're gonna set up i can't wait speaker stands mic stands and the 2k10s are here and jesse and i let me add it david can i get it oh we're gonna do it now okay all right there's jess you're rolling the stuff in jesse shore is completely slacking off on the job totally not handling his responsibility your taxes right now actually are you putting this in output right or output left i'm putting this in the output correct that'll put right that's the right one right i don't know what to do so what are you saying you don't know what to do no plugging in the monitors how do you feel jesse i'm doing good i'm good now taping down some cables here trying to get a nice and neat on stage like a pro so it's really nice of you all today to come with my friends and family to talk about my graduation and really what it means to me and how i feel because i do feel um like it's very special this feeling today that we get to have so that we can let you know how we feel after four years of high school and it's very important that we we share our feelings with each other because sometimes because sometimes letting others know how we feel is important so i have a couple of things written down here we got our drum kit in here the high school students i'm going to play some drum set today some mic set up for the chorus got the persona set up wireless computer okay so we got the system set up we're actually going to try to wring out some feedback here in the room i'm going to turn on our microphone and slowly bring it up till we hear the feedback there it is that's definitely feedback yeah that very high pitch with sound is around 8k we're gonna bring that down and there it goes god bring it up a little more good the high pitch sound is pretty much gone we got sounds lower now a little bit of a lower pitch sound that's probably the octave below at 4k let's turn it up more good that did a good job with that lower sound down a little bit here we're going to carve out here around 4k and then i think the octave below that at 2k as well so let's turn it up now we'll have to hear it look we can get a lot higher now without feedback still have a little bit of that 8k we're going to take that down and also 10k and then there's a lower pitch sound that we're going to try and find now i hear that yeah that's at around 80 or 160. and i think now our room should be nice and clear nice all right show you the whole stage there it is all set up for graduation we're ready to rock
