because almond if you want to mix ketchup and mayonnaise on Shabbos what is ketchup and mayonnaise produce I don't know Russian dressing or something I don't know something like that yeah so if you're gonna mix lemon juice into ketchup you can't really do that because you're causing the lemon to get a thicker consistency but here you're taking two pastes each one is already mixed to mix them together so if one paste is thick and the other is loose so you're going to make a thick consistency out of the two that's for sure awesome but even if both pays have a thick consistency let's say a ketchup and lemon juice I'll ketchup and and mayonnaise says you can't do that remotesha says Nah you're allowed to do that they're already of the same consistency nothing's tape nothing's really happening when you mix the two together but what I would like to speak about is probably the most common uh example of lush and by the way the the cannot be mastered here in a half hour as uh as good onions but most people like mayonnaise in their eggs so what do you do what do you do with your eggs on Shabbos so the best thing to do now if you grind it very finely besaw many people either put a mayonnaise or they put in oil either one is an issue of lush So to avoid any shyless don't chop the eggs or the liver finely make it big Pieces by the way I happen to like like big chunks some in my egg salad why am I telling you this because I feel so close with you that I'm sharing with you all these hello because I want to tell you my personal preferences of egg salad but when you chop it very lumpy it's not called bully Ava it's not a thick mixture because you're not really fusing together the particles basically the particles are each particle is by itself this piece of egg is ruvane the other piece of egg is shimmine and they're not fusing together to become one big mishpaka they they remain an identity there's some gooey mayonnaise sticking in between them so if you if you chop it um uh coarsely then it's not susceptible to Lush you could mix oil you can mix mayonnaise and you have no issues and you can eat your your egg salad without feeling guilty that uh you know I like the egg salad but gladstein said on Thursday at 2 30 that there's an issue of lush to making the egg salad this way you could eat without any karate without any guilt Guiltless egg salad is coarse egg salad however some people say are you kidding me I don't eat my egg salad course I mean are you Jewish that's not how you eat Jewish egg salad Jewish egg salad is finely ground that's the way they ate it in the Alta Heim that's the way my Alta Bubba ate it and that's why I'm gonna eat it so what do you do if you have one finely ground egg salad you know what you do you make it before Shabbos see then by the time Shabbos comes it's gonna be spoiled no it's not you seal it in a Ziploc in a glad container or in an airtight container you put it in the fridge and in most cases will remain perfectly Fresh So you say whoa wait a second doesn't the gemara say a need that five things if you do it you're liable for your own life and one of them is if you eat a peeled egg overnight that if you peel an egg and you leave it overnight it's dangerous to eat it the next day so if you're gonna make Exxon before Shabbos so you're violating this Kamara Nida so there are a few uh ways around this number one the fact that you chopped up the egg and you added not uh other ingredients oil salt pepper revasner says that gets out of the issue of eating a peeled egg that was left overnight number two many boys can hold that a cooked egg is not subject to the prohibition of a peeled egg there's also another opinion that a egg in a sealed container that's left overnight is also not subject to the prohibition of um eating a peeled egg overnight but between these three leniencies number one you have added ingredients number two it's cooked number three it's sealed you have nothing to worry about with your egg so either the best it's chunky egg salad the next base uh it's egg salad prepared before Shabbos if you didn't prepare before Shabbos and you are a stickler for your finely chopped egg salad or liver there is still a way to do it number one reverse the order if let's say um usually you add the liquid to the salad if you first put oil on mayonnaise and then the egg salad reverse it if you first put in the X out and then the mayonnaise reverse reverse it how you usually do it and number two don't mix it like that mix it crisscross so you say that's awkward it better to be awkward than uh violating Lush I'm telling you you're better off having an awkwardly nobody could taste the awkwardness in the egg salad so again the best states is make it chunky the second best eights is make it before Shabbos the third best states the third eights is reverse the order and crisscross let's say you don't like chunky you don't want to make it before Shabbos and you will not do mix your ex out in a crisscross motion and you still want to make Exxon is there anything to rely on uh there is there are some play skin that say that Lush does not apply by something that doesn't grow from the ground the eggletal is of the opinion that something that doesn't go from the ground there's no prohibition of lush secondly some say something which is cooked there's no
