[Music] hi I am nman dryer come join me sit with me let me take you back in time I clearly remember as a child lying on a Coldstone floor in an apartment's living room in MIM in y it's a small room it's a living room in a dining room and a playroom too and sometimes a bedroom I'm captivated by the spinning wheels of the tape recorder it is the late 1980s I lay there on the flooor watching the two wheels spin for hours the music fills the room it fills my heart it is mesmerizing and hypnotizing I watch them turning and turning the first tape cassette my mother buys me is not just a regular tape cassette it's an Avon fre tape cassette one day as I'm listening to Mahi music a very distinct sound catches my attention [Music] I remember asking my father what is that sound that's a guitar he answered on another day I'm listening to a fasta song and another sound catches my [Music] ear [Music] again I asked my father what is that sound it's a guitar he says then later on I listen to kibak music and again there's this instrument in the background that is hypnotizing [Music] me [Music] again my father tells me that's a guitar I don't know much about music but I quickly started to distinguish the sound of the guitar among other instruments it is the guitar's versatility that amazes me pulls something in my heart I dream of playing the guitar I had deep desire to create those sounds on my own but it's just a dream fast forward to my teenage years I still deeply love the guitar but I don't know how to play it one day in Yana I remember standing by the window grabbing one of the security bars as we call them in Hebrew soim and I hold it in my hand i'm pretending that it's a guitar and then I hear someone marking me he says this guy dreams he can play the guitar that moment was a turning point for me and I thought to myself why dreaming if I w't learn how to play all I'll play is that piece of security bar from the window and so I start my journey learning how to play starting from the very Basics picking up sticks and tricks from everybody and anybody practicing every single day I would crash weddings in jerus picking and looking at the guitar player watching carefully every move that he does trying to understand what he does and what he plays and then eventually learning from professionals around the globe now the guitar is close to my heart it's a window into my soul sometimes when I play on stage it hits me that I could have still be there played the metal bar but it's no longer a dream and Baya I turned it into a reality [Music] maybe you have been at the kumzits and saw someone struming the guitar and thought to yourself I wish I could do that maybe you have thoughts about buying a guitar but you have spus what if it's just too hard to learn how to play or the guitar would just end up collecting dust or perhaps you one of those who took a step forward and bought a guitar envisioning your days filled with music but now the guitar is just
