hello everyone this is rabbi klatsko and
today we're going to speak about
kindness and the community we're all
part of a community we all have the
ability
to make a huge difference many people
don't realize this
people live lives of quiet desperation
hoping that what they do is significant
the truth of the matter is
if we're parents what we're doing is
significant we're raising a family
that's hard work there's a lot that's
involved
however
there is even more that we can do and we
just have to think what are the needs of
our community and have the confidence
to to know
that
we're able to accomplish
greater things than we may realize
you know
we say a mishaber ganchavas and all
those who work towards the community
faithfully and we say the almighty
should take care of them and give them
their reward and give them nachas from
their children there's a special
blessing for those who say
you know what
in this particular issue the buck stops
with me
whether it's people who are ill in the
community i'm going to take care of them
or people who can't afford groceries
or kids who need that extra attention
because because the mother's overwhelmed
or people who are who have been fired
and unemployed and need help finding
employment
there are so many needs
all the good stuff isn't taken far far
from it
most of the good stuff is out there
you know why
because people often think
that others
have it in hand others aren't taking
care of it
and because everyone thinks that way
sometimes
great and important issues
difficulties
problems in the community slip through
the crack
and no one takes care of them
there's a fascinating tomorrow
yamara kulin says there is a place that
my forefathers have left for me to
become great
and the idea is profound
every person
in this world is born with a mission
there is some project
there is some cause
that they are supposed to
facilitate
they're going to be what we call iran
to create new something different
something out of the box
something that others haven't thought of
or haven't thought to do it as well
as complete as them
and if
we
individually don't appreciate what their
project is well if we don't find
what that mission is
the talmud says no one else is gonna do
it it's not like okay if i don't do it
someone else is going to do it so
not at all
says atomic everyone has their one thing
that they're born to do
there are
a few wonderful humble people who live
right near me
and they created a website called torah
anytime
and today on torah anytime
more than 15 million hours of torah are
watched every year download the app if
you don't see it if you've never seen it
15 million hours
they're still very humble people
they've changed the jewish world through
torah anytime absolutely
and yet do we say well if they hadn't
done it someone else would have not
necessarily not at all
their mission was to bring that
beautiful idea down to the world
the same without salah
which is jewish people going out and
helping people in emergency situations
medical situations
those who secretly give on thursday
night friday to those families that
can't afford a shabbos meal
you give them by the door they leave by
the door each thursday night bread and
wine and meat and all all sorts of
things that was a
that was an idea someone had an idea
they saw a cause they didn't say someone
else is gonna do it they said i'm gonna
be the one to do it
why
because the buck stops with me
so today we were speaking about
community
that's what it means to be a member of
the community a special blessing
falls on you goes to you is rewarded and
awarded to you
if you appreciate the fact
that
you don't live on an island
you're not just an individual
protecting your rights and your freedoms
but you're there to protect others and
help others
and through that there's no question in
the world
that you will have a blessed family
your children will see a great example
in their parents how one goes the extra
mile for one's neighbor they will grow
up to be as we say big mention
be ballet meet those people great derek
herrera's great character you'll see us
from them
thank you
