going to do is we're going to put this
on the floor. And because we have over
here this dark background, I wonder what
would happen if we take some freezing
cold liquid nitrogen and pour it on top.
We should see little balls going all
around. Let's see what happens.

we have a whole bunch of beautiful
colorful candles. Not just the candles
are colorful, but even the fire is going

take fire on a candle and we put it

your own. So, we're going to take a look
at all these beautiful candles. What

going to light it carefully.

fire needs oxygen. But in here, there's
a whole bunch of nitrogen. Because
remember, this is liquid nitrogen. It's
the gas that's all around. There's no
oxygen inside. So every time we take a
fire and we try to light it here,
there's a whole bunch of oxygen. But if
we put it inside, let's see. Watch this

Here we have a whole bunch of pennies,
quarters, nickels, and dimes. Can anyone
guess what pennies are made out of?
Well, it used to be made out of copper.
But 1982, that's the year Dr. Schnitle
was born, they swapped from copper to
98%
zinc. So these pennies over here, if
they're old, like let's see what year
this is. Oh, this over here is 1990.
This is mainly zinc with a little bit of
copper on the outside. But if we can
find a penny that's very, very old from
before 1982, it actually is made out of
copper. But why should we care? Well,
what happens if we take pennies and put
them in the liquid nitrogen? So, let's
see. This one over here is made out of

than zinc, which means that if we take a
hammer and we hit the pennies that are
old pennies, they should be very, very
strong and not crack. But what happens
if we take the newer pennies? They
should crack in half. Should we try

see what pennies we have. This one over
here is from 1979.

Another amazing experiment we can do
with liquid nitrogen is what happens if
we take a little needle. Oh, very, very
sharp is to be careful. And we poke a
hole in a pingpong ball and then we take
the ping pong ball and put it inside a
liquid nitrogen. The liquid nitrogen
will go inside the little ball. And I
wonder what happens as the gas wants to
expand. It's going to come out. And if
it's coming out this way, cuz the hole
is here, it should shoot the ping pong
ball that way, right? Cuz if it's push,
if the gas is pushing this way, the ping
pong ball will go that way. But what
happens if we don't make a hole
straight? What happens if we make a hole
on the side? Oh, perfect.
And now we're going to take this and
we're going to hold it down
and try to get as much liquid nitrogen
as we can inside the ping pong ball.
And let's see what happens. Now, let's
take it out and see what happens. Look
at that. It's spinning.

liquid nitrogen, and then put it in our
mouth and then we begin to talk. I

to take some beautiful golden float

to put it inside. Who knows what braha

we're going to do is we're going to take
some of it out. We're going to shake it
