[Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] schnitzel lab today we're going to explore science of colors we're going to look at the three primary colors red blue and yellow and how from those main colors we can make secondary colors like green orange purple and so many more colors as well as the science of jelly crystals AKA in other words Orbeez coming along with me and let's have an amazing time [Music] thank you and SV Molly and Livia for helping Dr schnitzel with today's science experiment we're going to be talking about colors red yellow and blue those are the three primary colors and then we have secondary colors can anyone guess what green orange purple very very good sweet let's take our water and we are going to make first our three primary colors so we're gonna pour some water in each one of these cups and then we're going to take Dr schnitzel's most favorite ingredient can anyone guess what is Dr schnitzel's most favorite ingredient what is that oh food coloring how did you guess very very good here we have Dr schnitzel's food coloring now what color should we use well we're gonna use our three primary colors the first one which color should we use First red everybody said red okay when it drops inside I want everybody to go flip here goes and what should be the next color blue okay here goes we're gonna do blue don't drop on the floor we got blue that was two bloops and what's gonna be the next one yellow look at that good now we gotta mix it up how are we gonna mix it in we're gonna take our Pinky and mix it up mix you up oh it's cold water oh look at that and here we go we got our three primary colors red blue and yellow first we're gonna hold on to this big gigantic tube hold on to this Olivia and we're gonna take blue and slowly pour it inside just like that good now I would like to Let's cover it just like that and now let's take the next two and Haim I want you to hold on to this just like that and we're going to take a little bit of yellow here it goes just like that good now let's close it now we have over here and Lavia look we have our two colors yellow and blue but what happens if we take this and we put this right in front what color do you see green what color do you see what color do you see it looks to me like green but wait a second what happens if we take red and we mix it inside what are we gonna get oh let's find out let's put this right over here and here I want you to hold on to this cup good and we're going to take a little bit of red and pour it inside here okay and then let's take some yellow and pour it inside and let's see what color we get oh orange now let's see hold on to this over here carefully with two hands two hands let's pour this over here just like that and and let's take some blue and pour it inside and what are we gonna get oh we have a beautiful green but wait what happens if we take some of the red and blue and put it together what are we gonna get oh we're gonna get let's see are we gonna get purple oh look at that time to you here hold on to this hold on to this yes what do we say when we have an isolation remember to say don't drink it yeah we're gonna take our primary colors at secondary colors and together with our new helpers pacheva and Shayna thank you so much for joining Dr schnitzel we are gonna make out of three colors 24 colors what we're going to need is this little tray that has 24 little compartments then we have our three primary colors so let's take a little bit of red and put it in remember when it drops inside what do we do okay here it goes hey one for you okay now we're gonna do blue and let's do another color we're actually gonna do two yellow colors good now what we need is a pipette does anybody know what this is called pipe that everybody say bite bad now I don't know how to use this you have to put this aside the water and does anybody know how to use this how do we get we have to I was told that you take this and it takes the water from one place to another how does it how does it work you'll put it in the water and then what okay so I'm gonna put it in the water I'm gonna squeeze it and then what and then I squeeze it put it in the water and then what and then take it out take it out and let it go what I don't understand I keep on holding on squeeze put it inside take it out hold on to it and Let It Go I don't understand so I have to squeeze it out Let It Go no that's not how do you do it you keep on holding it with the water lets it Go the water could let it go let me see I squeeze it now what put it inside now what take it out now let it go now let it go don't drop it how we can ever do this okay squeeze it put it in the water take it out yeah and now what I gotta let it go okay now water but there's no water in here okay no put it in put it in um squeeze it let it don't pick it oh let it a little bit oh now we can squeeze it so you squeeze it you put it in and then you don't let go you just open your fingers a little bit and then you go like this and then you can squeeze it I'm sorry oh my oh this is fun we could squeeze it put it inside go like this and and then what do I do and do I squeeze it how do I squeeze it oh this is so much fun yeah yeah who likes to have a water fight you like to have a water I don't want to get it on my face oh this is a lot of fun now let's see what we can do we can take a little bit okay everybody take yours and let's take the red and put it over here so that's yours I gotta do mine and we're gonna take the red and put it over here and then let's take a little bit of blue and put it over here oh then we're going to take a little bit of yellow and put it over here I wonder are we able to make 24 colors from the three primary colors let's see who could do that I'm gonna try to do that um let's see we got over here more more for you good job I got too many yellows let's make this a little bit dark color oh this is so beautiful look at the Hat wow I have like six different kind of oranges and four different kind of Blues and three different yellows I even have a pink over here oh pink is so yummy oh look at that that's amazing you're making really nice colors those are very very bright good job very very nice look at that that was fantastic you guys made 24 colors from three primary colors I'm so proud of you guys pick up your hands and go and I just stop your back good job but wait who likes Play-Doh ah look what I have over here we have our three primary colors red blue and yellow let's take a look let's open it up oh hey come out I said come out come out it's stuck inside ah we got red and blue come out I said something it's not listening to Dr schnitzel silly boy or silly girl I don't know what you are okay here it goes [Applause] come out it's stuck now my finger's stuck okay you almost got my whole body stuck inside this container silly goose okay let's put you away you're making trouble I don't like troublemakers okay we got our three colors red blue and yellow we said that if we take our primary colors we can make secondary colors so what colors we mix the yellow with blue okay let's take a little bit of blue and mix it together do you think what color should it turn green green do you think it's going to turn green hey let's see let's mix it together mix it mix and mix it oh is it turned green is it turning green yeah or is it is it really or is it not really turning green let's see hey it's turning green but we need more yellow yeah let's see oh who wants to try to do it you want to do it okay what color do you want who wants to make purple okay so here's gonna be some uh red and blue here take these two and mix it together and who wants to make orange okay Olivia this is for you take these two and mix it together what color do you want oh what color is this this is interesting feels so good does it feel good yeah what can you do oh look at that good job oh let's see if you got to do it a little harder [Music] um what do we got here this is an interesting color oh you need some more red here's some more red that's a nice orange oh that likes that's like a nice purple I like that purple here's some more here's some more for you and what do you got oh take some more yellow let's see if you can get that a nice light color and yeah let's see if I can make mine a light very nice light color this is so good I could play with Play-Doh all day and then who knows how to make a Menchie out of Play-Doh do you know how to make a Menchie out of Play-Doh let's see let's say we're gonna make the Menchie's head red here give me a piece of that okay we're gonna take a little piece over here and we're gonna make a little piece here we're gonna have a little Menchie okay and then we need a body the body's gotta be let's say blue so here's a blue body okay good job body's gonna be like this okay that's the head and that's the body that we need let's do yellow hands so we're going to do one hand over here and does that work okay and let's do another hand over here is it working good job and then we need feet hold on what color should we do to feet let's do how about green yeah here we go oh that's a nice color good job here we got feet and let me get another color feet good job good job yeah wait he needs shoes where's his shoes let's do this color over here shoes okay this is gonna be his shoes oh those are big shoes over there big shoes and another color and wait he needs a hat let's give him a hat can we give him a hat what color should we use yours yeah this is gonna be his hat over here wait he needs eyeballs he needs eyeballs okay we're gonna do one color eyeball here and let's do another color eyeball over here just like that oh this is really good and one second or you need more yellow here's more yellow and wait he needs a mouth let's give him a nice mouth he has to be smiling because he's happy he's a yet he's always been simcha good job look at that wait he needs a yamluka on top of his hat so he goes right over here he's got a yabaka hey what else is does he need anything else what else buttons oh my gosh not belly buttons right just buttons okay here's that's not his belly button that's just one button and here's another button and here's another button oh my gosh the buttons are so big oh gosh look at that oh he needs shoe it but he needs to sits this oh let's give him some senses so let's make him set this here's some senses on this side over here oh this is gonna be Titus over here but it needs eight strings oh it's gonna take us forever to make eight strings look at that what should we name him I have an idea is that a good idea yeah you look so beautiful give yourselves a big tap on the back you made from the primary colors secondary [Music] something that you can do at home what you're gonna need is some water seven cups are three primary colors red blue and yellow scissors and some napkins first thing we're going to do is put the cups just like this near each other all seven cups then what we're going to do is we're gonna pour a half a cup of water in every other cup so over here we're going to pour some and then we skip a cup then what we're going to do is we're going to take our three primary colors we're going to start with red and remember what to do when it drops inside and we're gonna put two drops in here and then we're going to do on the last one two drops just like that good then we're gonna do two Blues right in here and we're gonna do two yellows right in here then what we're gonna do is we're gonna take our napkin see and we're gonna fold it like this a couple times just like that it doesn't have to be perfect just like that yes and we're gonna make like this so it almost looks like a nice napkin that you could put in a cup for shops right now what we want to do is we want to take the scissor and cut the end just about here because we wanted to be able to sit inside the cups like this beautiful so one is going to be inside and the other one is going to be in the empty cup and we're going to do the same thing for all seven [Music] so as you can see all we're using is our three primary colors red blue and yellow what's going to happen if we leave it overnight about 24 hours the red is slowly going to travel up the napkin and it's going to go inside there and the blue is going to travel over here what happens when you mix red and blue like we just discussed turns purple let's see if we got some purple over here we'll be back in 24 hours 24 hours later look what we have we got our red or blue our yellow and our red our Primary Colors the red and the blue it traveled up the napkin and it came to the bottom here and we got purple we have our blue and our yellow traveled up the napkin let's see what we got oh look at that yeah it's like nice and green down there and look at this color oh oh and here we got some yellow and we got Orange in this one and red in that one this one here is blue and orange look at that and this one is like a purplish brownish look at all these colors I did not put any purple or orange or green inside that's the science of Colors Let's see if we pour some more over here dark green light green dark green light green oh that takes all my red put it inside oh purple pour this inside here we got a nice olive color and what happens if we pour some orange inside here oh some more Orange Let's pour it in here and what happens if we put this in let's see oh it's like a nice brownish olive-ish color that's something you can do at home Sarah and liba thanks for joining Dr schnitzel's experiments if we take these little crystals see these little crystals over here and we put them in water guess what happens if you leave it overnight or maybe a couple hours watch this hey they expand and here we have nice beautiful crystals who wants to feel it you want to feel it feel it yeah it's nice here you want to feel it try to feel it it sounds like yeah it's like wet right see that these over here this is what happens one little Crystal over here as you can see these little crystals turn and they expand many many more times their size you see that here it's like a sponge and it's full of water see that Farmers all around the world have to water their crops they have apple trees orange trees avocado trees fruits and vegetables but one of the hard things about being a farmer is you have to constantly water your vegetables your plants so they came up with an amazing idea this little polymer here this little Crystal it looks almost like salt see if we put it in water it becomes extremely big what happens if we take this and we put it in the ground well take a look at what I have over here I have a bunch of seeds that a couple of weeks ago I put in our little jar over here and it started to sprout and all the roots are drinking up all the water from the jelly crystals that are all around here so what farmers do is they dig up the ground they take a whole bunch of these they put it all around spread it all around and then they put the plants inside and they cover it with soil and they water it and the water goes inside of this and the roots from the plants just like over here go inside of this and it stays for about two weeks and this way they could save 50 to 80 percent of all the water that they have to use because instead of the water going down to the bottom of the ground the water stays in the jelly crystals and then once after about two weeks we have to water it again so let me show you how it's done here we have our little pot with soil so we're going to pour out some soil just about there okay just like that and we're gonna take some jelly crystals and we're going to pour it inside just like that now make sure that you don't put the small crystals in they have to already be soaking in water just like that that should be enough then we're going to take our plants we have to be very very careful here with our plant we don't want to hurt our plant oh look at that here is the seed and here is the plant we're going to put this inside just like that and we're going to put soil all around it oh we have to make sure when the plant is a baby plant we have to make sure that it is upright just like that beautiful excellent and now we're going to Pat it all around and make sure it's straight now we know Toby schwat is coming up and the Torah tells usada us man we are compared to a beautiful tree just like a tree when it's very very young you have to take very good care of it because it's very fragile and once it gets older strong and even if the strongest winds come and try to blow it over if it has good roots it will stay upright the same thing with our boys and girls especially those that are under bar and bass Mitzvah team we have to make sure that we have very strong roots Roots full of Taira and mitzvahs so now we're gonna take our water planted so we're gonna water it just like that and this plant is ready we can come back because we have the jelly crystals we can come back in about two weeks and give it a little more water if we didn't have the jelly crystals we would have to give a water about every two or three days this is very nice with regular crystals but hold on a second should we make it colorful why don't we use our primary colors red blue and yellow to make many many more different colors of crystals look what we have our little jelly crystals that are like a sponge we put them in all these different colors blue food coloring in that one red food coloring and yellow food coloring in the air you take the yellow and the blue you mix it together you get green here was the ones we made before the crystal clear ones oh look at that he's so beautiful dude look at this we can take a whole bunch of green and put a little bit over here yeah and then we can put a little bit of yellow on top should we do that let's make a whole bunch of colors this is really really nice look at that hey we can put a little bit of red on top let's put a little bit of red on top for you a nice sprinkle of red oh that looks like a nice nice look high in cup let's put this over here just like that and let's finish off by putting some white on top of this guy here it looks like ice oh look at that how beautiful hey wait a second we didn't do any blue what happened with the blue let's put in a whole bunch of blue for you just like that that's really really I love Blue Blues one of my favorite colors and then we're gonna do some green for you oh so nice and yellow let's put some yellow inside good job and let's put some more Crystal Clear inside here here we go look at that oh we have over here a tall tall cylinder what happens if we put our three primary colors let's start with the only R3 main primary colors let me show you something special let's put it inside just like that that's going to be blue and the next color is going to be red let's do red okay here it goes so if we put blue and red right near each other what's gonna happen oh could it be that if we leave it for 24 hours they are gonna turn purple let's see let's do a little bit of yellow see I'm gonna put some yellow here just like that and some more yellow and watch what happens when we leave it for 24 hours let's put some more blue let's keep on putting different colors different colors inside that yeah I don't see any green right we don't see any green but watch this [Music] and the last color is going to be yellow [Music] watch what happens if you leave this for 24 hours well this one was sitting for 24 hours and you can see over here there's a little bit of green in between the yellow and the blue and there's a little bit of purple in between that's the primary colors mixing and making secondary colors ooh this is so yummy I could do this all day just play with this jelly crystals are beautiful especially when you put food coloring inside but aren't we allowed to eat jelly crystals no we don't want eat jelly crystals but is there anything that looks like jelly crystals that we can eat [Music] Jello that's right here we have all different color Jello who likes jello wait a second before we eat it what bra could we make on jello okay wait a sec we gotta be very careful because our hands are gonna get dirty so first we gotta take we got some toilet paper we want to make sure we're very very high it looks like you need to win Dr schnitzel's pajama hat just like that yeah okay put out your hands like this everybody put out your hands like this and let's see we're gonna take a little bit over here who uh one second move your hands back a little bit let's cut this nicely over here in a piece be very careful you have to have your parents do this this is super super dangerous especially with a sharp knife like that yes let's cut that deer beautiful okay here do you like two ice cream it's very very slippery hi this is for you yellow hey put that back on top of your head hey get back on your head foreign [Music] was that yummy I love Jennifer wait a second don't you let her have a lot of jello it's not very healthy you want to eat only one little bit of jello every single day no not every single day every six months we look at this tube what do you see what do you see inside time you see water anything else inside it looks like bubbles I don't know I don't really see much but what happens if I take my hands and I cover and I pour it out Watch What Happens let's pour it out oh we have Orbeez look at those Orbeez y you see the Orbeez absorb the water so they look just like the water so if you pour all the water back inside the Orbeez disappear oh look at that they just disappeared where do they go They're inside but if we take this and we pour out the water again look at that they come right back and then who wants to play with the RVs oh look they belt Don't splash oh look at that whoo they've Orbeez are so yummy but wait should we make colorful Orbeez how are we going to make colorful Orbeez who can guess how we're going to make colorful Orbeez that's right we're gonna use the primary colors red blue and yellow and the secondary colors and we're going to make a whole bunch of different colors [Music] foreign
