SAVED BY A STRANGER!! (Why I ❤️ UAE)

ladies and gentlemen we have run into a problem unbelievable literally unbelievable it's currently 111 degrees fahrenheit outside something people often ask me is shlami why do you love the uae so much why do you always talk about the united arab emirates isn't it a country just like every other country and the answer is no it is a country that is very different from most countries that i've been to let me explain a few months ago i was in the united arab emirates and i filmed a video about my trip to a ghost town in the emirate of sharjah called al-madam it's about 12 37 pm and i'm headed out now to the desert to a ghost town it's about an hour away from dubai i drove there expecting for it to be an easy video to film and find the place easily and get in and get out quickly and without much difficulty but i was very wrong ladies and gentlemen we have run into a problem um i read online that you can drive there but for the last little bit you need a jeep or 4x4 i thought okay no worries i'll just park near the ghost town but the road that i was on just turned into this oh man it's hot okay the road that i was on first it was like regular asphalt it turns into this check it out just sand and dunes and mountains and i cannot take a chance with this car i don't have a jeep or a 4x4 so i just drove about an hour to get here and it's not going to work out for us which is unfortunate i guess i'm going to have to come back on my next trip with a jeep and uh pull it off then i'm just sitting here thinking about how i messed up um i guess i should have done more research and the truth is i could walk i could walk the road but it's almost an hour which is not the end of the world the problem is this it's currently 111 degrees fahrenheit outside so in my humble opinion walking an hour in this weather without any shade right through the desert it would be pretty much tantamount to suicide i was sure that my day was ruined and that i'd have to return to dubai without visiting the ghost town of al-madam so i'm not going to do that i'm going to have to come back another time yeah it's disappointing but that's that next time but then something amazing happened this is such a uae story oh my god um i cannot believe what just happened so i'm sitting here at the side of the road in this town of al-madam next to the ghost town and i'm trying to figure out what to do with myself now where i should go and and then all of a sudden i see a jeep approaching and i got afraid i'm here alone i don't know i don't know who you know middle of the desert literally there's no one in around for miles and i'm not sure who's going to be approaching me or what's going on this guy stops right next to me rolls down his window like uh oh i hope i'm not in trouble and it's an emirati guy um he wants to know if i'm lost if i need help i told him uh i was trying to go to the ghost town so he tells me that there's uh there's another road that can take me there but um you know if i would have tried to go with this road that i just tried with my car would never work we said i could go with another another road and he's gonna tell me where it is and then he said you know what why don't you come over to i'm gonna be sitting now with my friends in the desert let's get together i want you to meet them and then we'll go over to the ghost town so i'm meeting with the friends now there's some more people arriving i literally have no idea what i'm getting myself into but i have a nice feeling about this so i'm just gonna go with it and see see what happens let's do it okay so i left my car there at the side of the road i'm heading into this little tent situation i have no idea who these people are but they seem nice i'm not sure i'm gonna be able to film in there but we'll see what happens okay so as i told you a very nice man came over to me and invited me into his modulus we are here now with him and his friends and we are going to play a game called jackaroo so say hi everybody hi hi ali this is the man who let me in hi all right this is the game and this is the uae this is why you need to come visit the uae because people are friendly there's no place like this in the world it's unbelievable my friends here just gave me a t and i tried to take it with my left hand they said no no you have to take with your right hand because in this culture and this tradition we take things with our right hand and uh in the jewish culture the jewish traditions the same way if you are going to take something or shake someone's head you always use your right hand so we have so many more similarities than we do have differences and thank you all for welcome for welcoming we appreciate it you are very nice people hello thank you thank you very much thank you oh it smells nice thank you okay everybody thank you so much we'll see you later okay you guys are the best really nice people here in uae thank you it's difficult to walk in the sand so i'm walking down on this plank this is the modulus this is where i just spent the last hour and a half and now ali is going to take me in his car well i guess i'm going to follow him i'm going to follow him to wherever we need to go and then we're going to park somewhere i'm going to park my car he's going to take me to the ghost town it's unbelievable if you're just you're open to meeting new people trying new things life ain't gonna be too good so now i'm following ali to the other road which is going to take me to the ghost town so just turned off the side road here and we are now uh i actually see the ghost town i actually see it which is pretty awesome because i never would have known about this not for the locals who showed me this is crazy check it out there we are so ali is driving me to the ghost town right now over the dunes all right i'll leave you the best you know if i didn't meet you today my day would be very different whoa oh my goodness this is the ghost town wow ali thank you so so much okay you are so kind that's okay you are thanks a million unbelievable literally unbelievable this is this is the kind of thing that happens here all the time and the only reason he helped me was because he's a genuinely good human being he has he didn't know that it's going to be on youtube he didn't know anything didn't know that i'm a writer all he knew was that there was a human being who was looking for something oh humanity humanity we have to believe in humanity we have to believe that people are good people if you have that belief you see the world in a whole different light let's explore the village ali could have gone on with his day without even stopping for me we never would have had this amazing interaction and that would have been fine because he didn't owe me anything and there was no reason he should have done what he did but he's a kind person and he went out of his way to make my day and now i want to share that with the world i have found the people of the uae to be so kind and caring and hospitable and they will show you their genuine friendship they will invite you into their homes and they will make your day they will save your day
