And there in the Philistine fields, I let them run free. burned on their grains and vineyards and trees, but they kept oppressing Israel and messing with me. So, I just had to teach them a lesson with a donkey's jaw. I made donkeys of them with a donkey's jaw. I killed a thousand men. I paid them back for every crime they would do. Lord knows how many Philistines I slew. With the strength I gained being God's Nazir, I was judge of Israel for 20 years. But I had a weakness for women of beauty. Fell for a fine looking Philistine cutie. I picked the wrong woman to be my wife. It turned out that gold digger cost me my life. I fell in love with a lady named Delilah. The Philistine leaders came over to bribe her. Said she'd be able to make some bank if she found out the secret of my great strength. So she nagged me for days till I finally caved. And I told her my head has never been shaved. I took a nap in her lap. And I was not aware when she called a man in to cut off my hair. Hashem left me. I woke up and fought. The Philistines were there, but my hair was not. My strength was gone. And to my surprise, they seized me alive and gouged out my eyes. They had a huge party. Their women and men all came to see me perform for them. In the midst of their temple, I was displayed. So I leaned on the central pillar and prayed. Oh Lord, my God, please don't forget me. Strengthen me once more and let me take revenge for one of my two eyes. Let me die with these Philistines, I cried. Then I pushed on the pillar and it did fall. The temple collapsed and crushed us all. More Philistines died at that one time than all I had killed in my life combined. I paid them back for taking my eyes. Lord only knows how many men died with the strength I gained being God's Nazir. I was judge of Israel for 20 years.
