okay we first of all we'd like to welcome everybody back to a new year of thursday night learning here at the south side sandwich shop and uh actually we're at a time of the year now where the there's so much to learn out of every parsha every shabbos you could sit we have the long friday nights and uh and another month from now another couple of weeks the friday night's gonna get even longer and uh you go through these parties and on with the entire human voracious there's so much to learn that the question is what are we gonna what are we gonna talk about how do we just condense into the time that we have here tonight what we're going to do is we're going to give it a we're going to give it a try each week we'll try to pick uh one topic and work our way around it a little bit as we've stated many times in a different uh sheer that we've given over the past uh almost a year we've uh we've actually said one theme that we're going to repeat again tonight the thing that we're going to talk about first is that the torah as we've said many times it's not a not a storybook it's not something which is uh we learn a story and it tells us something that happened many years ago and we say that many years ago we once learned the lesson and that's the end of it you know the torah doesn't just tell us stories as we've tried to encourage ourselves to understand and believe is that the torah that we learn and from every parsha that it's a lie it's alive it's constantly teaching us new lessons it's constantly teaching us things that have to do with the current events that have to do with our current lives and things that are going on so from the fact that we see that the torah put parshasanaya right at the beginning of the torah and it's the second parasha in the torah the fact that we see that it must be that it's coming to teach us a very important lesson it's coming to teach us something extremely important being that it's put right at the beginning and of course we want to welcome all the good people who just came in but yeah don't worry about it you could order your food we don't uh there's no problem with that okay we take pride in the good food here also as so as we just said that the harshest thing that it's there's an important lesson that we learn out of it kazaal tell us see michelle brings down very interesting because i'll tell us that the mobble was
