[Music] New York. I guess you're still sleeping. [Applause] You're still sleeping. Now, now you're becoming a little bit better. You don't know how exciting it is. of thank you so much for coming and thank you for opening the doors of opportunity for us to have a wonderful powerful important lecture for I'm very excited I've been now in the United States for a month and a half if you might remember we had some lectures a month and a half ago that's when I started the tour and then When I finished the east coast, I went to the west coast. We had a wonderful, amazing, unbelievable, full of challenges, full of headaches, full of e tests that you can't even imagine. But we had an amazing amazing tour in the west coast starting from Los Angeles and going in in inwards. I will share with some of the experiences maybe tonight, but you can definitely definitely wait a few more weeks when I come back to Israel. I have materials for lectures for the next half a year with everything that I went through this in the last month and a half. So I know why Hashem puts me through all this turmoil and all this headache. It gives me material for lectures. Other than that, I run out of material. Listen, life experiences is one big da but I'm very very excited because I'm already coming back to the east coast and today is the last lecture. where I'm in New York tonight after I'm done with you straight to New York and to Miami where I'm finishing the tour. I will make it back home and I hope you will join me. Amen. And I'm not joking that I hope that you all going to join me to Israel preach. But tonight my last lecture in New York for the time being I hope Hashem will not make me come back here but if I have to hashem for you everything was complaining why'd you leave Israel and I was like I left Israel I didn't leave Israel I came to help you guys to come to Israel. Some people were asking you why we why did you flee Israel? I don't flee anything. I just came to take you all. So after tonight down to Miami and where that's where I'm going to be finishing the tour and hopefully go back to my home and celebrate Shah. But why am I so excited? Because I waited for this specific lecture the entire tour. All the rest of the lectures were good. They were inspiring were very strong, powerful. Some of them went online already. Some of them will go online. But today, I've been waiting for this day for a year. Yeah. A whole year. We had a leap here. A whole year I'm waiting for because I don't know what happened. Last ill for me was horrible. I'll share with you shortly. And I don't know about you guys, my year was very difficult. very very hard year full of challenges full of difficulties tests day and night left and right to a point that I'm already coming to this elude with my tongue out now if I went through such a year I bet you that you had such a year too and maybe some of you not maybe some of you were doing much better than me and you had a nice year but from what I know everybody went through a very rough year, whether it's spiritually, whether it's financially, physically, emotionally. And I'm saying that because in the last year, I haven't met one person that told me that life is easy and everything's great and they're pushing forward and everything's amazing. So, I'm putting two plus two. And I understand that everybody had a hard year. Besides the fact that I told you not once and not twice that I must look like a a wall that everybody comes to talk to me like as if I have all the solutions in the world to all the answers and all the questions. I don't I'm just a good listener and I actually know a few other tricks what Hashem likes to likes to hear. But in the last year all I heard was complaints and not not with complaining about the complaints. But people are going through a very very difficult time which I can see. I can see with my own eyes when I came here you know people complain about Israel all day long. I come here it's 10 times worse. I don't know why you're complaining about Israel. At least I hope you're not complaining about Israel and that you are working on your aliyah papers saving some money and trying and looking for a place to live. But uh listen, I've been here haven't been here for years. It's becoming worse and worse and worse and worse. Now forget about the geographic place where where are you located last year was not a simple year starting from Sha last year is and the entire world went through a lot a lot of challenges and being very optimistic this year will be worse. So I've been waiting for the month of from last year. I have to start with telling you a personal experience that last year was the first time in my religious life that I flew to Oman. Never been to Oman. Not that I hold myself as a breast lover, but I part of my journey in Chuva was in breast of Yeshiva. I love Abin Ahmed. I learned his Torah. I love everything about it but never went to woman. I had many opportunities every time that I I landed in Ukraine three times and still didn't make it to woman. Somehow last year last minute 3 days before Rosh Shah something happened we got tickets and two days before Shana I fly to for the first time in my life I land on Friday morning which was Rosh Shana and some of you maybe remember that after Oman I posted one video about an amazing experience I had at the bento but I had so much material to talk about and to teach and then leno this war started that got everything distracted and I never got to talk about anything that ever happened in Oman but I had a very very special experience the place is a dump it's disgusting it's dirty I don't even know how people go there and why they want to go there I have in my backyard 400 sadikim I go to the area to me I don't have to go to Oman but nevertheless it was an unbelievable experience very spiritual, very amazing. And it was unbelievable because Hashem really squeezed me to to pieces there. And the whole month of Anul last year, I was so busy with so many different things that sometimes you're so focused on to go doing something you miss everything all around you. So I was busy and very successful in doing many things in but doing cha and my of course always knows how to feed me and tell me no but you're doing good things you're teaching dua you're helping people you you're doing a lot of good things but I didn't focus on what I needed to focus on having in the back of my mind what my is feeding me that no you're doing great you teach dua you inspire people you do a lot of mitzvot you don't need to do cha that's what my hi is telling me you need to do chouba you're at [Music] sadik at sadik so for the whole month of I was busy with everything but chuba and when I came to um man besides the unbelievable challenges that I went through and the the the headache and you can't even imagine I land there with three of my sons and we don't have to sleep because the person that we rented the room from disappeared with the money. And I'm like, great, that's a great welcoming to Oman that somebody supposedly Jewish ran away with my money and I nowhere to sleep. So, you can imagine how I started the the the the visit. But anyways, everything was so hectic. Everything was so last minute. And we found the house like 20 minutes, half an hour walk from the actual area. By the time it was time to go to pray, I missed the mikvah by maybe two minutes. We were running from that house where we stayed to the main area where the shs are and everything where I paid for the mikvah. I come and the mikra is closed. And they're going there. I'm telling him, please, I want to go to the mikvah before the holiday. No, you can't go. I I can't let you in. I tried to bribe him. I threatened him. I promised you whatever you want. Nothing worked. And not because he was mean, because he poured some chemical into the woman. He's like, "Trust me, you don't want to go in the water right now." So I find myself when I'm supposed to stand in front of Hashem, dirty, sweating. I just finished a 13-hour drive from Muldova to to Ukraine. I ran like a maniac with suitcases for five hours looking for where to stay. I was so disgustingly dirty, sweating, you name it. And I come to Shalah and the mikvah is closed. All I wanted is a nice shower and to dip into the mikvah and to leave all my sins and all my dirt behind. And Hashem slapped me in my face and told me mikvah is closed. you coming to Osham dirty and I'm sure you once experienced it that you didn't take a shower for two three days because you're traveling and you're tired and you didn't sleep and you're sweaty and you're stinky and I'm having my I have my my Rosh sha clothes in my hand cuz I was like after the shower I'll wear the new Rosh sha clothes now I have to put the new clothes on me when I'm sweating and that was the first slap to the face then I come to the to the main sh everybody told me the first night of Shana that's what you have to pray and I walked in there it's a sh I'm not exaggerating maybe 40 times the size of this room and probably even more two floors maybe I don't know 10,000 people are squeezed into there maybe even more you never seen anything like this huge and I come of course late and right away I need to pray ma with my new clothes on my stinky dirty body. Then I pray and I'm pushed for all directions and I'm already starting the the Rosh Sha. Not good. Then I'm starting in the entrance and I see the whole kesh the front. It's like it's like a kilometer to get there. It took me maybe 45 minutes with both of my sons to go through the crowd and I had to literally squeeze myself through the crowd. Nobody wants to let you move. You have thousands of people cramped into this room. You can't breathe. There's barely any air there. This is after the the disaster in Meon where people got squashed to death. And in my mind, okay, here's the next Meron. Just this time it's going to be me. I became like a pancake till I got to the front. You can't stand. You can't even hold a cindo. People pushing you from here, pushing you from here. And in my mind, this is what I came for. I have a nice shoe in my hometown. I have a nice comfortable chair. I know that I don't need from my house. I see the cemetery of fat. And in my mind, like what a mistake. Why did I come here? And I'm telling you, I'm getting pushed from here and pushed from there and people standing on my leg. And I'm like hovering over my little boy so he's not going to be squashed. And all I see is the exit. And I'm like, I'm heading straight to the exit. I'm I'm not even staying here. It looked like I'm literally about to sh disaster happen. I can't breathe. I'm so disgustingly dirty and sticky in my body. And all I want is to go out of the door. And somebody taps me on the back. I turn around, "Rabbi Nama," a face that I never saw. He tells me, "Come, we've said, we've saved seats for you." Like, you know, like tweezers. They took me out of this, sat me first row. So say like run in the first second row in front of the on seats suddenly some air suddenly my pulse is starting to come down air blood pressure is becoming normal I become I color come back to my face and I'm sitting in front of the whole kesh and I look all around thousands unbelievable and all the big names right next to me here I have all the big rabbis of wrestling all around. I'm like, Hashem, this is VIP. I tell my son, no, see, it's worth being famous, huh? So, I'm sitting there and I had such an unbelievable prayer. They opened the kesh there and they had beautiful. Unbelievable. That part [Music] was unbelievable. Amazing prayer. Amazing toot toot. When hashem brings you things you understand the service was beautiful they were singing all the nigim of brev the whole the whole was close to two hours if I wouldn't be sitting there with air on me I'm telling you I would either leave the room or die I told I didn't come to for this to be squeezed to be stepped on I can't even hold the sidu I need to constantly look where my son is that he's a little boy that nobody will step over him and hashem just took me out of this situation of dirt, of being sticky, of barely breathing, and put me in a chair in front of the kesh where I pray from the bottom of my heart and where I understand the message of Hashem. And in the conversation I have with Hashem, in my mind, I'm like, why why you bring me all the way to to to challenge me and to torture me? I can stand at home with my wife in air conditioning. Pray like a bench. And the answer that I got is that you didn't do nothing on you literally didn't do nothing on what you said a few and a few prayers. You didn't do nothing what needs to be done in regards to chuva and you think you're just going to wse into the house of Hashem and everything will just be waiting for you with a red carpet. Who do you think you are, Mr. Anava? So, Shem told me, in other words, what do you think? You're just going to come into Roshana and think that the doors will be open for you just to receive my blessing because you do a little bit of things and you think you're that great. That's why Hashem told me, first of all, you're not that great. It's not fun to hear from anyone. You're not that great. But nevertheless, I understood that to get to Shana the right way, you must go through alul the right way. If you come to Shana with skipping alul, you're not coming the right way. You're going to come dirty. You're going to come sticky. You're not going to breathe. You're going to sweat. You're going to be tired. And what will be your desire? to get up and leave. I understood very clearly that the preparation is not less important than the day itself. So we are standing right now in one of the most powerful nights of the year and that's why I told you I'm so excited a month and a half since I landed in New York. while I waiting for this lecture, not for the other lectures because I I see how Hashem takes me wherever he takes me. So I will have some experience, analyze it, chew on it and then give it over to the people and I see that it works perfectly every time because the wisest person is a person who has experience that he did this done that been there a few times. So is the most powerful time to do chuba. Every day a person can do chuva to repent no problem but el is the most powerful time and the most aspicious time to do chuva and why is that because that's the time when hashem forgave is for the golden calf if you remember the story mosh raenu goes up on the mountain for 40 days there does the golden calf mosher raenu comes down breaks the tablets hashem wants to destroy Israel Moshe prays for the for for am And yeah, they were forgiven, but it still was a sticky situation. Hashem wanted to destroy the nation for replacing him with a golden calf. You know the story. And of course, Moshe goes up and prayers on our behalf to an extent that he says, "If you want to destroy them, take me out of the equation. Take me out of your book. I'm not staying here." And by Moshe praying, he was able to push over the punishment to put the punishment on hold. And then he goes back again on the mountain when today there's a decree on us on our nation to be destroyed. The nations failed in the golden calf in Abu Dhab which then it was a golden calf. In our days there are many golden calfs in our life. There's many of in our lives that we replace Hashem. What was the golden calf? Why was Hashem so upset? Cuz Israel replaced him with another diety. And I'm already telling you that Israel now and the rest of the world in many of the time replaces Hashem with another diety. When you put Hashem second in line, which is what 99.9% people do, then you're changing Hashem with another diet. If you don't stop on the highway to pray cuz you're in a rush to go to some business deal and you think the business deal is more important than Hashem is now became number two. When you wake up in the morning and instead of saying and going to pray, you're checking your WhatsApps or your Gmail or whatever it is, then your phone and your work and whatever is number one. And now Hashem is number two. You replace Hashem with a diety. And we do that all the time. All the time we do that. And how that we put our needs and my needs number one and Hashem is number two. Question yourself. Look inside yourself. You'll see that in almost everything that you do, Hashem is number two. Oh, number three. Number four. And I know many of you will say, "What are you talking about? I run to sh every morning 6:00 a.m. I do nets and I go to and I pray God." But if you really really look deep down in your actions, you will see that in many of the times you are number one and God is number two. That's what happened with the golden calf. Hashem was upset and he wanted to destroy us. Simple as that. So maybe if he gave us to the golden calf, but the was still there. There was still decrees against us. So Moshe Rabenu goes up on the mountain on Roshul for 40 days where he prays on our behalf comes down on Yipur and Hashem accepts our chuva accepts Mosher Rabenu's chuva I will forgive as you have requested and from that day Yomipur has become the day of atonement. So we know that from the days to do it's an asuspicious time. It's a time where as I'm sure you heard the term the king is in the field. I'll explain something that you might have never heard before about this concept about the king is in the field as we go. But first we need to understand the power of kodesh. What happened in history and what are we what are we starting because you are the lucky ones who came to listen firsthand. Consider yourself extremely lucky that Hashem chose you to come here and listen with your own eyes and not through a screen and to hear what I have to say. So I'm not joking with you. consider yourself extremely lucky because some people wanted to come and they couldn't. Many wanted to come. They couldn't find parking. They couldn't find a babysitter. They didn't want to come. People know I put the videos online. They're they're [Music] lazy. But ashaped here is that every person that is in this room tonight was invited by God. So you are really first class VIPs. You're hearing it from my from my mouth. Thousands of others will hear it from a speaker. And you hear it from my own mouth. So consider yourself lucky because we are starting now one of the most unbelievable journeys of the year that if you do it the right way then you get to the point where everybody wants to get to be blessed on Shah with all the good things that we want to. So when I was thinking what should I teach on Elul to make a difference I opened a few books this book that book and really at the end of the day you heard already all the versions the king is in the field I mean we were same thing every year every year. So then I decided that the best thing to teach is what I learn and not necessarily from a book. I like taking what I learn from books, putting it together with life experience and then you get a very good ch. So what I want to h address tonight is the opportunity of alul. What happens during the month of the month of is the time of what's called that everything is becoming new to rejuvenate comes from the word new but it's rejuvenating everything really and rejuvenating is not really the right term because comes from the wordadash new that you're taking something and you're making something new out of which is kind of close to rejuvenating but this is like something new. This concept this is a found one of the most important foundations in our life and where do you see it that our life is constantly in some type of motion. The teachings of Cababala calls it is like a when something flows and is always where do you see that when we breathe you breathe in breathe out breathe in breathe out constantly there's this motion that never stops that if you stop this motion then you're not going to you're not going to be able to live you can hold your breath for a minute 2 minutes that's So this this constant flowing this energy that constantly flows that's the foundation of life and that's what rejuvenates every moment. Every moment is a completely new moment. Most people why do they become sick? Because how would they say it? Let me say it in Hebrew how the holy books say and then I'll try to translate it. People become sick because they don't go with the flow of nature. Which nature? Their own nature. Every person has a certain pulse. Every person has a certain nature. Every person has an energy that constantly is changing. what the Chinese call it the chi the and this constantly flows in your system. Now what makes a person sick that you don't flow with your own nature? I'll explain. I'll give you one example. Every person is rooted in one of the four spiritual elements. Fire, air, water and a earth. So if a person is rooted in the element of fire the element of fire fire constantly change moves constantly the flame moves that person constantly will have to change things move backwards forward action if the person is in the same place goes crazy on the other hand a person that is rooted in the element of afa of earth afa is like sand doesn't move persons has to be the same all the time. It's called kava cleo same job waking up at the same hour everything is the same and if you move them away from their h path no they they can't even function. So you can call it personality but really it's where the shama is rooted from. Now every person has his comes from the word zim zum is a stream something that flows. Every person has his za, his flow. And if you don't go according to your own rhythm, you'll become sick. I'm talking about physically sick. I mean, we attribute sicknesses to many things. I'll attribute sickness to one thing is that the flow in your body of energy is not going the right way. That's what the Chinese medicine that teaches and many other natural medicine teaches. If there's good circulation in the body, then you're good. The second that the the cycles in your body are not good, then the person become sick. So what do I need to do? For example, let's say a person now gets affected by something. If he goes back to it to his natural state right away, then the person is a happy person, calm person, he has inner peace. So for example, if somebody insults you and you're in a very high level, the insult you might be affected a minute or two and that's it. And then you go back to your regular self. You ignore the situation and you let the flow continue and you're good. doesn't bother you. But on the other hand, a person that gets insulted, three days it's going on in his mind. He's now analyzing every word of the conversation and then I should have said this. Why did I said this? And 3 days that person cannot rest because that person said something about him and he's not at rest for 3 days. That's not healthy. That's not inner peace. That's you driving yourself crazy for five hours and you analyzing in the argument every word. Why did I say this? If I said that and the whole thing should take exactly 3 minutes and that you you need to move it away and say okay so that person said that oh he did this or he did that. When a person knows how to let go then he's constantly remaining happy. I'm talking about true happiness in the heart. I'm not talking about that you're jumping up and down because something talking about peace in your heart. Happy. Most people are not happy. Most people are very unhappy. And most people don't have even inner peace because of that. So a person that is lacking, he has two problems. Either he's stuck where he is, don't know how to ch move from where they are. And that's most people. They don't know how to let go of the situation they're in and to move forward. They're stuck where they are or that the the motion the cycle is not going the right way. The zer zimm is a stream or current that it's not going the right way. It's interesting because in Hebrew in Israel they use it as sling like if a person is like easy going and that's what you say in Hebrew like flow with me. You know the teachings of Kabala explains that every 22 minutes the energy in the world changes corresponding to the 22 letters of the alphabet. every 22 minutes the energy changes everywhere even in yourself even in the person itself. Now when the when the cycle is healthy and good then you receive this shea you receive the abundance from above and the shea can be joy happiness peace wisdom parasa everything most people life doesn't work out so well because the channels are all are all blocked and the sha doesn't come clearly so if example like I told you if a person gets offended somebody say something but very quickly he goes back to himself that's good circulation the flow is very very healthy okay so I'm upset for 3 minutes and then I go back to myself but if a person doesn't go back to himself right away means he's stuck he's stuck in that situation and that's most people sometimes somebody does something to you you're upset for 3 months what's just let go already and why can't you let go because you think that you are the right one. You know in arguments there are two sides but you are always right in the in your side. Whether it's your argument with your wife, whether it's a person in the street, most people they're so arrogant that I'm right. I'm I deserve and I have to have the last word. That's a person that is stuck doesn't know how to let to let go. So to rejuvenate that's one of the most basic foundations in our life because that's what brings us our our life force that's why you see in the word you have the the word means life the energy where do we see that it says very clearly in the Torah we say that every day when we pray in his great kindness He renews, he rejuvenates or really he's re recreating the world every second in his great kindness. He renews what was done in the days of that's where we see that the constantly renews the world. The reality constantly changes. The only problem is that we don't change or we don't rejuvenate or the words of the saying I don't change myself because I don't believe in that. I don't believe I'm able to. So you have to understand when comes that's the time of his of rejuvenation that I'm able to change something that will stuck for a long time. Now, take just a moment to think what what are you stuck on for the last year? Maybe it's a business that you're trying to elevate off the ground and it's not taking off. Maybe it's a relationship that doesn't matter what you're trying to do, doesn't work. Or even your own spiritual growth. You're stuck in some place where you can't change. You're stuck on some sin or on some ideology or some idea. And why don't you change? Because you most people don't believe they can change. So when alul comes the holy books explain that's the time of that's the time when you can change any situation any reality to a brand new situation. Now wouldn't you like somebody to come now and take all your problems away? I feel the heaviness in this room from all the problems and not because you're negative energy because everybody carries their problems like as if it's their problems. It's not your problems. Your problem is not to get excited by their problems. But wouldn't you want to leave this room tonight and I give you some guarantee that somebody will come tomorrow and take all your problems and you wake up to a completely new reality? I doubt there's one person in this room right now that would say no. Everybody will say, "Yeah, I I I can use a new start. I can use uh I can use a break from the last year's headache." Now, what's the most dangerous thing to do is to stay the same. That's the most dangerous thing for every individual that you stay exactly the same how you were. If you stay exactly the same just that you know besides you're not going to be successful that's dangerous. That is dangerous because most of us we like preserving what's how things are. Very few people are willing to make a change but very few people also want to make a change because we're happy where we are even though you're not really happy but you're used to the situation. This is called habits or in Hebrew I'm used to it. You're suffering in the marriage. Ah, I'm used to it already. Already suffering for 20 years. What's going to change? or in any situation. Very few people are willing to make a change because they're kind of they're not happy, but they're they're it's much more easier and they're content to stay in their situation and not to change anything cuz change requires a lot of things. And you know what? I'm used to it. I'm used to the stinky job. I'm used to this. I'm used to that. The the joke is that you would be you would want to get rid of it in a second, but you still you're used to it. Really what's stopping us from moving forward is the image that we build on ourself. In Hebrew it's called tadmmit. Comes from the word do that I try to look like something but it's not me. And what holds me from changing from my habits is the image I have of of of myself. And very few people can be critical about themselves and say I don't like what I see. It needs to change. Most people they might not like what they see but they just come up with so whatever excuse says no no it's good because if I come up with other explanation means I have to do something. So I'll find excuses why it's fine to be where I am and not to do anything. There's a great sadik called the Ramadali who was the kav of the ramal has unbelievable teachings and he explains that when we going into the days of ill we're going into 40 days of chuba that in for these 40 days you can achieve so much because what comes down on the month of especially is this god godly light that allows every person to change completely. So we're now literally at the beginning in the beginning. Tomorrow it's not going to be the same. Well, tomorrow is also but starting Thursday that's it. We lost the power of of and then we end the month. So you have to start today. That's why you why you are the lucky ones and consider yourself lucky. Hashem chose in which city I'm going to be tomorrow. I'm in Miami. I'm finishing this lecture. There is a Mishna chapter 3 Mishna 15 that says everything is predicted and you have permission. What is predicted? Your entire life. When is it designed? First of all, before you are born. Your entire life is designed completely. Where you going to live? How long you going to live? Who you going to marry? What you going to be your profession? How much money you going to make? What's going to get what are going to be all your challenges? Everything is designed before you marry your you're you're born really. But on everything is decided for you for the rest of the year. Yeah. In one month we're going to be standing here in the singing and what do we say on Shoot? Who's going to live? Who's going to die? Who's going to be rich? Who's going to be poor? Everything is decided how much money you're going to make, how your year is going to look like. And I can tell you already I'm quoting the Ramadan. He says that also what challenges you're going to have this year are decided on Shah. So you look now back one year and understand that Shah all the challenges that you're going through up until today and I'm saying especially up until today not up until next till Shah everything was already decided last sh every challenge that you had this year big or small was already decided previous so Everything is already set up. Everything is predicted. But you have permission. What what's the permission that the Mishna is talking about? Means to change at any given moment. But everything is predicted. So right now we have the we have the permission for a change. If you don't have permission, you can bang your head at the wall and nothing's going to happen. That's the problem with most people. They don't understand that Hashem is running the show. They think they are running the show and then nothing happens. So first of all, everything is predicted. You have permission to change at any given moment. And when we start the month of starts a work a John that is called the work of sifting in Hebrew means to sift between one and the other. I don't even handle all these platforms. I get thousands and thousands of messages every day from all the platforms. I didn't ever answer. A few months ago, happened to be one of the phones that we used was next to me. By instinct, I picked it up and I say, "Hello." This woman is like, "Huh?" I'm like, "Yeah, you're the lucky winner." She's like, "I can't believe you answered." I said, "You, well, you shouldn't. I never answered. I thought it's somebody else." But I already answered. She started talking to me. Oh, I have a question. I said, "Well, you didn't call for questions. You called for something else. Say hello. We'll chat for 3 seconds and then I give you to my secretary. But you make the effort to come to this lecture. You don't have to wait 3 months in line to get a phone call 5 minutes. You come here, you're in front of me. You give me a hug. You take a selfie. You squeeze in your quick question. That's a Some of you didn't see me for 5 years. Some of you never met me even, right? Most of you never even met me. And now you're in front of me. And on the way out, you can shake my hand, kiss me. Well, not kiss me, but shake my hand. Take a selfie. That's next to you. You can quickly squeeze in a quick question. Give me a blessing. You made an effort. You came here. You deserve it. Some people are lazy. They're sitting at home waiting for the video to go online. But not that I'm comparing myself in any type of way to anything. But I'm telling you that's the concept of During the year, not so easy to get Hashem, you pick up the phone, you get an answering machine, you get a an assistant saying, "Listen, the king is pretty busy. Wait for I don't know." And now like Trump and the other whatever her name is now, they're down with the crowd shaking everybody's hands. In a few months, they want your vote. They're now your friends. You can look at them, be close to them. Yeah. I want to see you talk to one of them. Whoever gets appointed once they're president, before they're president, and they're in the streets, they're your best friends, taking pictures with you, shaking hands if you come to the rally, trying to convince you to vote for them. So, Hashem shalom and thank you for us. He's not like a president, but during the year, yeah, Hashem is not so easy to get close to. He says, "You want to get close to me? Work." But on we know that Hashem takes off his garments and he puts regular clothes, comes down and mingles with the people like the king is in the field. You can easily come up to Hashem. Most people don't do it. Sifting between the good and bad. You have a lot of good in you and you have a lot of bad in you. That's it. But the good gets mixed with the bad and the bad gets mixed with the good. That's the secret of the tree of knowledge. So in the month of when we are facing the concept of the king is in the field. What does that mean? It's easier to overcome the bad in you during the year. And why do I continue doing it? Because it's very hard. Try now not to do something for 40 days. Choose one thing that is extremely extremely annoying you or is it inappropriate or something that you know is not good and it's affecting your family in a negative way. Pinpoint something and say for the next 40 days I'm not doing it. Doesn't matter what happens. That's the first note you need to take from tonight. Unless you've been taking notes up until now or just go to YouTube in a few hours the video will be on YouTube. You'll get your own notes. If you're smart, you need to watch this lecture 50 times cuz I see maybe two people in the crowd that are actually writing notes. Take something that is bad in your life that you have control over it and go out of this door tonight and say I'm accepting on myself from 40 days minimum. It doesn't mean that after 40 days you go wild. you go back that then you didn't do nothing. 40 days is that you need to fight for it and you'll overpower it because it's easier to overpower the bad. So whether you raise your voice on your loved ones, tell yourself that's it the whole month I'm treating my wife and kids and everybody around me with the utmost respect. Nobody likes to be screamed at or you have any other bad habits. It doesn't matter right now what you're quick to anger, very judgmental, you slander, you it doesn't matter. You know what's your problem. I don't know what your problem is. You know what's is the this evil thing in you that you really don't like it and when you do it you are upset at yourself that you're doing it and you make a decision. and you're saying 40 days now I want a good year 40 days now I'm not doing it you tie yourself tie your hands put something on your mouth it doesn't matter what and the reason why most people fail is because they don't believe they can do it in the last 20 plus years of my cha I've done that systematically one thing after the other if you want something it will work you know what was the first thing The first thing I started doing when I became observant 20 plus years ago, I didn't run to yeshiva. I didn't put fillin on. I didn't give saddaka learn to the first thing that I took on myself to change in my life is the way I spoke because every word that came out of my mouth was a curse or some disgusting derogatory word. A word, the b word, the c word, everything. That's how I talk. Every second word that came out of my mouth was a disgusting word to a point that I couldn't even hear myself. And I said, "This is the first thing I'm going to do. The first thing that I'm going to do is I'm going to clean my speech because I'm required to pray to the master of the universe. I cannot pray to the master of the universe if my tongue also says disgusting things that you don't really need." Sometimes you need to use negative words. But thou language and sometimes you don't even notice how you talk. I'm telling you it was extremely difficult cuz it means you have to pay attention to every word that comes out of your mouth. So you know what I did? I didn't just didn't talk. I heard that you can fast with your speech which is extremely powerful. And I just took on myself, Daniel, I won't talk for a whole week. Won't talk for a whole month. Now, 20 years ago, it was easy. I was single. Now, let's see me not talking with my wife. That's not going to work well. I trust me, I tried a few times to do tano du while I'm married. Didn't work well at all. Especially when you have kids. What are you going to How are you going to explain to them what to do? And then you just get upset and frustrated and then you're so frustrated you start talking. But try that. It's so refreshing not to talk for a few days. It's unbelievable. But I believe that I can speak change the way I speak. I took it upon myself. I failed miserably hundreds of times. But at the end I got it. to be able to refine how I talk. That's the first thing that I did as a bala. And the next thing was in the same level. I said that many times in my classes that I was a liar. Every word that came out of my mouth was a lie. Don't get offended. You're liars do. I said that also many times. Everybody are liars. Test yourself and you'll see how many times a day you lie. That's what I did. By the way, I bought a $1 a little notebook and a little pen. And every time that I lied, I wrote the lie and the hour of the day. And at the end of the day, when I sat on bed and said, I would read all the lies. And again, the same thing I did that that was my mission. You stop lying. You don't say one word of deceit. You say that three times a day when you pray. Seal my lips from evil and my tongue from talking any deceit. I'm telling you, record yourself once for a whole day and you'll see you lie all the time. Why do you need to lie? Why do you need to exaggerate? According to Ala, exaggerating is lying. Some people like, "We went for a walk. 10 miles we walked." No, you didn't. It was 2 miles and it took you 20 minutes. Why are you pretending? 10 miles we walked. So the point is when you have a certain habit, whether it's foul language, gossiping, lying, distorting the truth in one way or another, it doesn't matter what is your habit. then it's hard to get out of this habit because it requires a lot of discipline and it requires a lot of effort. Has to be a reason because the reality is you have to ask yourself if you find yourself in a spiritual growth that you're growing and growing and growing and everything works well. This lecture is not for you. But the reality is that most people don't grow. And why? Because they don't live. They don't leave what they have. They don't know how to leave what they have, whatever it is that you're battling with. They don't know that half the world is battling the same sin, but they're seeking for true guidance. How can I let go of it? And they don't know how. Just now in the in this tour, one man in one big lecture like this, everybody stood in line. Everybody had a question. He waited till the last one. He actually came in line. He's like, I need to ask you something private. Can I wait till the end? Sure, wait till the end. He waited 3:30 in the morning. He was waiting outside where he was telling me he's battling for a few years already the big problem of Brit of guarding the Brit like as if he's the only one. how the way he presented it. He's the only one that has an issue with the Brit and he's the way he presented it is that he hates it. He doesn't know how to get rid of it. Which of course I told him, you know, you're not the only one. You're not like the the only sadik in stone now that is trying to fight the which that didn't didn't make him happy to hear that other people. He says, I challenge him. How do I How do I stop? How do I get rid of it? What you want to tell me? I'm that weak. If you want something, you overpower any problem that you have. All depends how much you want to let go. And most people don't know how to let go. Not because they don't know how, because they don't want to. It's very hard to change yourself. It's extremely hard to change yourself. And more than that, why is it hard? Cuz you can't believe you can actually do it. Because you try once, you fail. You try once, you fail. You try 50 times, you fail. Okay, the hell with it. I'll be stuck with it for the rest of my life. In order for me to get rid of this bad, I must be completely analified to Hashem and I have to have unbelievable humility in front of Hashem. And that will come with a lot of with a lot of hardship. That's how the system works. Now, how do you make it happen? to talk is easy. How do you make it happen? The way to make it happen is to let things happen, not to oppose what Hashem is putting on you. We try to oppose everything that Hashem is throwing on us. And that's how you fail. The best way is to what we say in Libu, go with the flow. It's going to happen anyways. You have no control over it. And you know why? Because there's only one cause for everything. The master of the universe. And Milvado. You think you can change a situation, but you can't. I just now I didn't finish. I'm now concluding six weeks of a tour. Now, you would think that Hashem will send tons of angels to clear the way for me. Everything should be easy. Everything should be just like that, right? I'm coming to teach Tua. You would think that red carpets will be open. Everything and anything that can go wrong in my life is on steroids when I'm on tour. Missing exits, missing flights, things get lost. I fly to one destinations, my suitcases go to a different destination. I'm telling you, everything that can go wrong goes wrong in my life. Especially that I'm on tour, which I always question. Hashem, listen, I'm doing your work. I'm going to teach Torah. I'm out of my comfort zone. I'm not in my home and I need to suffer. Can't I travel first class? Can't life be easy? Not physically first class in the front of the plane. But if you join me for one day of my life, you will be tired after 3 hours. 20 years I lecture all around the world. Never in my life has my wife came with me anywhere. She sits at home with my kids. She's busy with her own thing and she lets me do my thing on this trip. She's the first time after 20 years my wife is with me and all my kids are with me. We decided to merge the tour with a family trip and biggest mistake. Horrible disaster. Never doing it ever again. Not recommended to mix business and pleasure. I was like, "Great, I'll take my wife." I mean, you know how it was born. I was here two months ago. To be more exact, I was here in May. Before that, I was here in April, if you remember. And my plan was, I'm going to go from city to city to city to city. Hashem opened the doors of America for me to come in. I'm going to come in. And my plan was to go from one city to Ran city through the the west coast, the east coast. After two visits, I told my wife, "Listen, the flights are very hard on me going backwards and forth and the prices now the prices are outrageous. It's unbelievable and flying all the time." I said, "Do you mind if I just go to one long tour instead of flying backwards and forth?" And she was like, "Listen, do what you need to do." But somehow, I don't know what Hashem thought putting that idea in my head. I was like, "How about you come with me? you know the money I'm going to save on the flights backwards and forward. I can take you and the entire family with me. She agreed and up until today we're cursing the day that we did. You know what it is to carry a wife and seven kids on a tour in the United States? Which which as it is, I run a tour with my tongue out. And I'm dragging my my wife and seven kids to to to my karma, missing flights, losing things. And my wife is for the first time after 20 years telling me, "That's how it goes? I can't believe it. This is what you're talking about?" I tell them, "Well, this is calm. Wait till it becomes intense. First few lectures she came all happy. You see her here? She's like, "You go. I'm staying home. You deal with this. I'm here with the kids in an air conditioning house with food accessible." you know, the the tour that we did in the West Coast, my wife and me had always had a dream from the day we we got married that one day we're going to rent an RV, take all the kids on the RV and travel in America. So, we said this is a perfect idea. I will take an RV and like a band, you know, they have a tour bus and they go from city to city and I will go from city to city, make lectures. In the meantime, my wife and kids are with me. Unbelievable disaster. So that's what we did. We rent an RV, huge RV, nine bits. We're filling up with food and I drive from Vegas to Phoenix to Dallas to Denver to Houston. I'm like, I'm driving. Biggest mistake ever. Unbelievable mistake. I mean, listen, I'm exaggerating, but it was a mistake. I mean, we had a lot of fun being with a family together, all together, squashed in a huge bus for two weeks. Great idea. That's what I heard for 14 days and a lot of other complaints and relax. And how does Hashem work? I said, "Listen, my dear family, you have suffered tremendously going with me on tour. I promise you, we're going to do some fun stuff." The last two days of this tour with the RV, and I'm telling you, it was hectic. I would finish a lecture at 3:00 in the morning and drive through the night to another location. And it it wasn't easy. fun, great achievement spiritually, very tiring, but like I told you, my wife could not believe that's how your tours run. She experienced for the first time, what does it mean to travel with me? When we finished the tour in the West Coast and we flew different flights and I'm not crazy. I wake everybody up quick. When she was like, "Relax. Don't worry. Everything's fine." I'm like, "No, nothing is fine. You don't know my life. I can come five hours before into the airport and I will miss the flight. You're laughing. That's what happened to me exactly five weeks ago in the last lecture I gave in Great Neck for 3 4 5 weeks ago. I left the the the lecture at like 1:00 in the morning when my flight is at 6:00 a.m. from Great Neck to JFK. That's enough time 5 hours, right? I missed the flight. I just saw how the GPS is taking me into the airport. I'm like, "Okay, here we go." Instead of taking me to the car rental return, he took me to some cargo airplane. And I'm like, "What's going on?" My GPS never works. Not ways, not Google, not nothing. So, my GPS takes me wherever he wants to take me. I came with eight suitcases and really alltogether were in the the range of the weight. My one of them weighed 53 lbs and the other one was 46 lb. The guy drove me nuts for 45 minutes. Move this shoe here. Move this here. It had to be perfectly 50. I I told I'll pay you for the overwway. Just let me go. 2 hours in security in JFK and I messed up flight. And of course when I land in LA, my suitcases went somewhere else. So I land Friday. Friday end of Shabbat. I don't even have underwear with my kids and I have to run a Shabbaton. That's my life. So I'm telling my wife and kids, you don't understand. So I tell my wife as a joke, listen, you don't understand my karma in traveling. She's like, oh my karma is stronger than yours. I'm like, yeah, nothing is stronger than my karma. and it rubs off. You know that. Don't stand next to me. The last one who traveled with me also missed the flight. She's outside. You can ask her. She called me, "You have bad bad luck." I'm like, "You talking about bad luck?" It's not even bad luck. It's not even in the category of luck. It's like Hashem wants me to come out with my tongue out everywhere. So why am I telling you that? Not only to make you laugh, but we were two weeks on the RV. Very, very difficult. Amazing spiritually. I mean, it was every day in a different city and in cities that I've never been. People who never saw me. But I promise my dear wife and kids that the last day of this trip, we're going to do some fun stuff. We'll go camping. We'll go swimming. We'll do a lot of fun stuff. 10 minutes before we arrive in the campground, which looks like Ganedin in Colorado, I stop in a Target to get some coils for the barbecue and the RV breaks down. And instead of packing parking for two days and camping with my family, I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere for two days in front of Target. two days wait to the part to change and I got so disappointed at Hashem of course I was like I don't understand I don't understand I do everything for you I gave my soul my energy my money everything you can't give me two days to enjoy with my family I have to be stuck in a parking lot in Target for two days no water no bathroom, no showers, barely any food. I mean, come on. I got so disappointed. But that's when I understood that the way to make what I'm talking about happen. You need to understand that you need to let life happen. I was trying in any type of way to make things happen. And when Hashem says, "No, that's not how it's going to go. This is how it's going to go." If you don't let go, then you suffer. You get disappointed. You get angry. You don't understand. Why is Hashem doing all these detours? Why is it not working? Cuz that's what Hashem wants. And the trick is to move a little bit to the side, not to get upset. It's going to happen anyways. Every step of this tour was a disaster. You know that when I left New York when I missed the flight and my suitcases went somewhere else, I had a big lecture in Roshadesh, huge lecture in Los Angeles after I haven't been in Los Angeles for 6 years. So you can imagine the size of the lecture kind of what we had in Queens 3 4 months ago in Isan. Massive event. the day before the event, the venue that we rented lets me know that I can't do the the event on Sunday and they let me know that on Thursday when I have a huge lecture schedule for Sunday. I mean, like, how do you manage an event on Friday? And I landed late cuz I missed the flight. So I have to worry about where my suitcases are and worry worrying about an event and everything hectic and craziness. Can you imagine managing an event from scratch? Now the first venue offered everything, the screens, the audio, the music, everything. One-stop shop. The new place I had to get everything separately. You know how many phone calls, how many people I had to tell them? You call this, you call that, you I came into Shabbat again like a like a like a sweating, angry, upset. But at the end, the event went exactly how Hashem wanted. Everything worked out. We found the place, we found the DJ, we found the screens, we found the security, the valet bar. Everything worked out with my tongue out, but it worked out. So looking back, why should I get upset? Why should I get angry? Why should I get disappointed? Why should I get confused? It's going to happen anyways how Hashem wants it to happen. Does it matter if I get upset? It matters a lot because when I get upset, I lose my temper. The people around me are suffering. I'm suffering. I'm not focused on what I need to do. And anyways, it's going to happen how Hashem wants it to happen. So, what's the best advice? Just let it happen. Let it happen. Stop disturbing Hashem to do what he needs to do. And the point is is just don't go against what Hashem is doing and going against trying to find solutions. I mean you need to find the basic solutions but mainly not to get upset and not to go against and not to be disappointed and not to be angry and not to and not to and not to. Why? Because it's going to end up working out exactly how Hashem wants it to work out and nothing's going to change it. Which means that you need to just go with the flow because it's going to happen exactly how Hashem wants it to happen and not how you want it to happen. And you know why? Cuz there's nobody but Hashem. There's only the will of Hashem. And what's the point of getting angry, upset, impatient, screaming to all directions? But I'm telling you, it wasn't easy. It was a very, very heavy lesson. I got upset at Hashem. I was like, "Why couldn't you give me two two days I'm asking with my family to relax? My poor kids. They just wanted to have some fun. I need to sit in front of a Target for 48 hours." After the mechanic came and changed it, my wife and me were like ready. Ah, okay. We have 10 hours now to drive now back. And I'm not going to tell you all the challenges on the way because you wouldn't even believe all the challen Oh, you know, I'll tell you a few more just that you understand my life because a lot of people say, "Oh, I want to I want to hang out with you." No, you don't. No, you don't. Now, when I was on the way to LA, this guy calls my secretary. When is the my rabbi in LA? Well, he's there in a few weeks. I want to I want a special request. What? I want to hang out with the rabbi. Really? You're that brave? And of course, she answered him, "No, no, no. Nobody can hang out with the rabbi." He's like, "No, I'm willing to pay. I'll give him $10,000. I just want to hang out with him." She told him, "You're going to run after 3 minutes. It's not going to be worth your money. You don't want to hang out with him." But that's the reality. So, I understood very clearly that not to get upset cuz Hashem is going to do that anyways. You know, I promised you another. Let me tell you another thing. I ordered the RV that we had to go on this trip 3 months ago. When I came home from the tour in May, I was like, I'm planning the tour now, not like I always do 24 hours before the event. I booked the RV 3 months in advance. The day before I came to pick up the RV, the man tells me, "Listen, the last person who rented the RV damage it. It's in the shop. I can't rent you the RV." So, I had to find again, that was Thursday, Friday, we were supposed to pick up the RV. I had to find last minute another RV that can hold nine people and that answers all the requirements that we need. And of course, it changed all the plans. We had to go to a different city, go this, pay that, and everything I'm carrying with me, seven kids and a wife and 500 bottles of wine. Just imagine the the the craziness. And of course, I get again upset. Huh? Wow. My luck. The RV breaks down. I now need to go. I drove from Vegas to Phoenix to pick up a different RV. And then our tickets, our flights were out of Vegas again. So we have to go to Vegas and go to Phoenix. It's like it doesn't stop. And when I got very upset and discouraged, my wife and me were sitting. She was like, "Let's think. Let's think what Hashem wants wants from us." I have this picture. If we have time, we'll put it on the editing of the video. If not, you just have to picture that picture. My wife and me are sitting in a beautiful place in Colorado. By the way, we got stuck in a beautiful place. No bathrooms, but beautiful. And we parked in a parking lot of Target where we went into Target maybe 20 times an hour. Every time we needed to wash our hands, to brush our teeth, to go to the bathroom. My daughter was like, every time she went and bought something, she was like, "Why spending so much money? I feel bad already going in all the time. I'm going into the bathroom. At least I'll buy something." My kids that that's that was their vacation running in the aisles of Target. We don't have stuff like this in Israel. the biggest store we have in in in invat is like the size of I don't know like a little room for them target is like not a mall it's like a mega mall and aisles and they were running through the aisles that was their vacation they're going to come now to back to Israel what did you do in America they'll say we went to some mega mansion called target and there was toys there and unbelievable so my wife and we are sitting in front of Target for 48 I was trying to think what does Hashem wants? So my wife turns out turns to me. She says, "What do you think Hashem wants from you?" So I told her after 48 hours of being very angry and upset and disappointed. I I get the point. Hashem wants me to stay on the target and not to be discouraged. And what's interesting, I don't remember the name, there was another store next to it. Five something. What? Five. What? Five below. What? Five pizza. No, no, no, no. I'll tell you in a second. Give me a second. I'll tell you because it's actually unbelievable. It's actually unbelievable what Hashem did. And I'll tell you in a second because really that's how you learn in life things. Be patient with me. one second and I will tell you. We were parked in front of Target and next to it was a a store called Wait a minute. See, I can't I can't say it's too far. Five something. I don't remember. I'll I'll look at it later. But on the other store on the right, there was another thing. So I told my wife, Hashem is teaching me here that with all the distractions and all the challenges, you have to stay locked on the target. The store on the left had something with the name five in it. So I said, "Okay, what do we have that is five that has significant of five?" So this five I was like, "Okay, judgments come in pairs of five. That's how judgments come and the vot will come, the denim, the judgment will come and shatter your life with challenges and confusion. All Hashem is asking you is just stay locked on the target. He's the target. Of course, your spiritual growth is your target. But Hashem wanted you to stay on the target. And then what was the store next to target? Uh something loves and it had a heart. So my wife tells me, "So what's with this?" I said, "Except the hardship with love. Everything you can see Hashem's signature." I'm telling you, I'm telling you that personally. I got upset. I don't get upset ever at H. Definitely not at Hashem. I got so disappointed. I was like, "What's the big deal? You drove me nuts now for 4 weeks with this tour. You can't give me two days, but it took me two days to be in the middle of nowhere to understand the message of Hashem. Stay locked on the target. Don't let the distractions move you left or right and accept everything with a big smile and with love. So how do you fix everything that you need to fix on the month of first of all you have the entire month of fixing it's a month of fixing now interestingly month in Hebrew is kesh comes from the same root of kadash new how do you make something new in your life if you are 100% satisfied with your life leave the door you don't need to come here you need to teach us but I'm assuming that each and every one of you has at least one thing they don't like in their life so what do you do you need throughout the entire month to change it to rejuvenate to change a situation to a new situation and what's the best advice that I can give you two words let go just let go of your desires, your emotions, your thoughts, your needs. At the end of the day, I don't run the show. In any challenge that you have and you're trying like a to struggle, you know that you're not running that challenge. You're not running the situation. When I was sitting two days waiting for the repair man to come with it, I have no control over the situation. Doesn't matter what I'm going to do. Hashem is right now running this challenge. I just need to sit back and relax and let go. And it doesn't mean that it will change. It just means that the challenge will just happen. The hardship will kick in mainly to clear cleanse your nisha. That's what you need to go through and just let go. You don't run the show. The second you understand you don't run the show, then you can start to let go. That's why Hashem is torturing me in every point that I make. So I can experience, I can chew on it, I digest it, then I can come and tell you the best advice is just let go. You're not going to change the situation. The only way to change the situation is if you let go and you let Hashem do his thing. And like I told you for that you need a lot of humility in front of Hashem and you need to be completely honified in front of Hashem. Sit and focus on the target. And how do I add to myself the ability to do it? You have to have two components. One of them is called observing which is what I'm trying to do to now is a type of meditation. But every person has to do it that you look at a situation means to to look at something and to see what what is Hashem doing here. What is the message Hashem is telling me? What do I need to take from that? That's it. Bonut. And the next thing that I need is to have amuna. Amuna means 100% faith in Hashem, which is not so easy to achieve. But that's what you need to do. And in order for me to have true amuna, I have to remember two important things. I end up cutting 15 tons of grapes. I didn't know what to do with so much grapes. What am I going to do with so much wine? Happened to be that I went to my very closely after and I told him, "What should I do with all this wine? I have 15 tons of grapes." And he tells me, "Bottle it, label it, and sell it." To make a very long story short, which I didn't really understand what he means. Little did I know that this war is going to last for months over months and will hurt my organization tremendously financially. Then he told me a year ago, bottle it and sell it. So I have the opportunity today. I brought this wine with me. This wine has been traveling me all over the world.
