anyway here's Robert field hey Carl how are you talking to you well we did a podcast I did a podcast and we talked about Israel we're talking about the uh the departure of the democratic party I mean it's traditions of support for freedom of speech is Andy foreign policies and most of all is departure from its long support for Israel and one of the things that I hope to do during my campaign is to be is to make the moral Case for Israel to Americans and to recall the Democratic party back to which Ruth says that my father and my uncle stood for as strong as an FDR and Truman and all the other Democrats who have been a rocks of Gibraltar when it came to protecting the only democracy in the Mideast okay you say you can talk to you supporters yeah I'm my Uncle Teddy where's the architect s um oh Israel worst outcomes of um I think it's a false started it's you know people are have created a narrative of Israel as an occupying Nation a presence indigenous Palestinians the memory holes all of the history you know exactly how we ended up where we where we are where Israel is today Israel is the shrine star of Human Rights and democracy in the Middle East if you're a lot you know two weeks ago there was a gay rights grade a preparated 150 000 people in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem the same time Iran was hanging gays from Cherry Pickers in the city squares if you're a woman if you if you care about freedom of religion Israel is the only state where you can practice that in the Middle East there are Palestinians serving in the Israel legislation there are Palestinians meanwhile the Palestinians say it's a kleptography uh that tortures people that imprison something that's not about functioning judiciary the Israeli Judiciary is the best in the world the only Junior tray that's it forbids torture and it's taking odd time boxing scenario we don't even do that here in our country in in a ticking time box so they've specifically addressed if there's a terrorist who knows where there's a bomb it's gonna kill civilians you still cannot torture him even if it saves A Billion Lives there's no legislature in the world that that does that that has held that um oh I you know I've been a Critic of those you know Israel's democracy and it's not perfect any more than we are but and you know I've been I'm very proud of the Israeli Judiciary it is the most independent and you may introducer in the world and it gives it's absolutely Equitable rights to both Palestinians and Jews there are Palestinians on the Judiciary and I'm very very proud of that and I don't you know I'm not a supporter of these reforms I think you can criticize Israel without you know without being any semi but the difference is if you apply a different standards in Israel then you do those countries around it and not Square people I think get in trouble what do you think women's rights gay rights the rights of Palestinians if you if you're a Palestinian you want to a criticize your government the only country in the Middle East where you can do that and I include in on you know in West Bank and Gaza the only place the city is where Palestinians can safely criticize their government immigration it's the only it's the only it's the only country in the Mideast where you have complete freedom of religion and because I am I guidelines in Israel that did while ignoring the uh you know the real oppression the cruelty is injustices that are happening at our their day read war and all the surrounding areas
