Has convenience made us spiritually weaker? >> Convenience doesn't make us spiritually weaker. No, no, no. Dependence upon convenience makes us not only spiritually weaker, but weaker all around as human beings. Dependence meaning to say that I can't be okay without something, anything that you depend on for your basic feeling of being all right. Yeah, that makes us weaker. But the conveniences themselves, no, they make us stronger and I'll tell you why, because they're all God-given tools. God gave us these conveniences in order that we use them to serve him. Everything that exists in this world, like the phone that you're holding in your hand right now, did that make you dependent or has that given you a tool? Well, it entirely depends on how you're using it. If you're drawing from it, if you're consuming from it, yeah, it creates dependency. But if you're using it as a paintbrush, so to speak, if you're using the phone to create content, let's say, and you are reaching out to people with meaningful messages. So now that technology is a tool that empowers you to express yourself. And the truth is, the more we have these tools to express ourselves and to spread good messages, positive messages, hope, healing, faith, then the better the world becomes. That's why in the Jewish tradition, the vision of a perfect world, heaven on earth, which we call the Messianic era, is one not just of spiritual enlightenment, but that goes hand in hand with material abundance. In the Messianic era, not only will we be spiritually elevated, but all material things will be plentiful.
