[Music] [Applause] [Music] wow i was really touching even you know i know somebody with autism and this stays in the same block as us his name ryan and he's well he can say some words but not a lot and posit i'm positive he's non-verbal in it and i think because it's one of our neighbors and he gets support seven days a week yeah i'm not being funny but i was quite scary like i wouldn't be like it's like if i'm like fuzzy and confusing it's like she'd been dropped or something evan was so and nobody was listening to what she was saying and then they were really confusing her as well i don't understand that but if that's how it is in the cafe for that girl good honor for being able to go a cafe because the noise is louder everything's more focused and i don't know i just thought it was really really really hard to follow i don't know how she can be in a cafe and understand the conversations and even her opinion didn't like one minute she's getting taken somewhere by somebody and then the next minute the dad changed changed it she does have her own mind as well and it's like nobody's like nobody was actually listening to her you know so i think that was the whole point of the story uh well she's still a human being she deserves to be like she still has feelings and needs and wants and she can still go out with a friend she's not totally incapable have you ever seen have you ever heard of carly at all no i've not know that was the first time i thought it was quite good that's good was that just about our own cafe is um from what i gathered like amy sent me the description uh carly is a youtuber she's non-verbal and uh she uses a machine fin to communicate and i don't know what the machine thing's called sorry and uh this was uh she directed this in order to show what it's like for her in a coffee shop or something because um a lot of the times with her mum and dad her mom and dad are divorced her dad would take her to a coffee shop or something and she just couldn't handle it and uh yeah they just they both decided to try and show for her at least because autism is an individual thing what it's like for her to be in there to be to be in a place where your typical people find relaxing for some reason i can't i can't really relate because i don't do crowds or like i can relate with her but i can't relate to the relaxing space because that's not what that place is for me is just like dude well she doesn't find it relaxing that's the thought yeah it's the exact same it's like tunnel vision and you can hear like in the video clip everything click in the clock and the the cutlery and you can hear it more than you can actually hear anything else uh no you know where yes he knows where she's coming from because she doesn't know what to say like when someone says like how can i help you or what can i do you you don't have the words articulate that even with like a diamond box thing from what i read um amy sent it to me so i never picked this video but um from what i read uh it was trying to show um for carly anyway because ultim is an individual disability but this is how carly feels um in spaces where other people might find relaxing like a coffee shop um she's able to pick lots of noises all the way around her and it's very overwhelming yeah i can imagine it would be actually is there any places that you find overwhelming yourself um sort of you know like busy places you know there's lots of people around yeah that was like felt really closed then like suffocate and too much was happening at once and i think if you can deal with that good on you but oh that's totally different than how i would have been if i had been half i'd have had a different experience and even when she asked for a coffee she ended up a hot chocolate like nothing was nothing she was saying was working out for her yeah is it but do you have to go up and get your own thing or can is it that they don't understand her or is [Music] mixture of um one it's impatient so when she's trying to give her older and she might be too nervous they're just like okay you're gonna have this um yeah doesn't it if i remember one of my friends um one of my friends has trouble uh with money for example so she was trying to give the bus driver the money so she was counting it and he got impatient so he took all the money and just put it in the fin that's just rude i just i just told you to get on the bus that's very good in front of everyone so that's that's not on that's totally that's very good i would have put in a complaint straight away because i'm the girl's trying to do the best that she can do it's not up to the bus driver to decide if she can do better or if he can do it quicker he should have respect for everybody getting on the bus suppose i suppose actually living with a condition as well can be quite hard yeah they should be understanding like i don't understand why people don't understand things like that because i would never have known what would have been like until you just showed me that video like i had no idea i would not cope with that that was just like boom boom boom boom boom yeah even at the beginning in that film when i seen the girl's face and it was like the adjective that comes to me is the frustration and carrying the frustration people just not understanding and accepting i know there's a boy that comes up on facebook and he gets frustrated that people assume because he's not wearing a mask he's it's for his health he doesn't wear a mask some people that seem to know better than skull and he's put it on facebook a lot on mine that he's frustrated people and it's i know it's a thing that said a lot but people shouldn't just judge and the the other thing him that i see in morrison's toilet but i really like you i've took a photo of it not all disabilities are visible and that that's true just trying to understand and somebody could be having a really really horrible day you could be having a horrible day too but try and be a bit sensitive you never know amy amy was the one who took that video so i think she felt it explained her her version of autism because autism is an individual disability um but the same feeling usually with most autistic says it's a very claustrophobic feeling uh lots of things are happening all at once the noises so he being claustrophobic and that was very claustrophobic and i'm glad amy i'm glad you showed me that and then glad they may practice because if not even though i've been speaking to people about autism and stuff i still had no idea what that would have been like and i was sitting here going oh my lord like what a shame shouldn't you know where she's coming again there's too much going on she can hear every single noise every single person talking every movement it's just it's too much so but i've got people friends that are autistic and i didn't realize that's a very good video to actually show by the way to make people understand about i think that's why my baby shared it because to be honest i think that video has been a massive eye opener for me even after speaking to people i didn't realize it was anything like that you
