Kevin and I was standing here in the Bora Park together with my good friend Ari Green, the manager of the Bora Park. Ari, what's your message to the Bora Park people? >> Well, the message is this are very very important um elections and we really need every in each one of us to be registered to vote. If you need any help with that, we have this forms which right here in Bakai. You can just walk in. We're going to walk you through it. It takes about less than five minutes to do and you can help a lot of him hopefully to do the right thing. Uh we're not going to tell you who to vote for. It's up to up to mean your choice. However, you should just be voting and that is going to help to every person in York City. >> And if you and if you're not registered, you can't vote. >> You can register and you cannot vote and you must be registered. And this is basically >> simple. How long does it take you? >> It should take no more less than 5 minutes to >> less than 5 minutes to do. And if you need any more help, Mal is here till about 4:00 every day and later on the student also to do it. >> So every day you walk in, you ask Mal key and she helps you register. >> Basically there is in the form and it could be done anytime we open till 11:00 at night. >> Amazing. I'll give my viewers a little to understand what's got to do for >> at this time. There's a major campaign around Borough Park and outside of Bor Park to make sure to get every single person to register to vote. Whoever is able to is eligible should be registered. We need to make sure that we have a strong community voice and that we can impact the future of this community. So therefore administrators whether it's schools everybody's on the same agenda over here to just register and make sure you register to vote. Correct. It's a collaborative effort is involved. Akunim Yeshivist Barakwai Barak JCC all of us are collectively coming together lots and lots of volunteers working closely with the Moistas with Shields with Kaidelim. It's a communitywide effort. You've definitely seen it all around town in ads and so on and so forth. the the children are coming home with letters uh with reg with registration um applications encouraging people to vote. We need to make a difference and >> we will make a difference. We will make a difference. >> So as important it was till now you think now it's on the next level that it's really important this year and for the future of us here in Brooklyn and New York City. >> Sadly and unfortunately a very large percentage of our community are not registered to vote. >> Wow. >> This is a fact. >> Yeah. But we're rolling up our sleeves. We're getting the power of the many, many organizations, many yeshivas, many asunim, and many volunteers to come together and make a difference. >> That's it. >> And as we will make a difference. We have no choice. We have to. >> But this is a very, very special uh plea that we're asking every single person who sees this, if you, your spouse, your neighbors, anyone you have an impact, you can influence that is not registered, please make that phone call. What's your take on registering to vote and voting? >> Obviously, we have to vote. We have to vote to vote and we just have to vote. Register to vote and vote. >> We have so many who don't. What's your message to them? >> With Dr. Rosenford, the longtime Bar Park resident. Dr. the roles of what do you say about registering to vote? >> Okay, this is a very important um subject here for the community. Everybody should go out and and vote and register and vote. My reb all of a sudden Victor Miller would be standing out there handing out leaflets on the corner. Really, >> he was very pro people getting involved. You got to vote these were shy out of office. We have to vote the issues, not our pockets. And it's very important that every vote counts here, especially now when we're facing a crisis, a crisis with the with who's running. So, it's very important that everybody get out there and vote. >> Thank you. >> Register and vote. >> Thank you, doctor. We're now here with Rabbi Silber from the Audo who's going to tell us the importance of registering to vote. Rabbi Sberum. First of all, if you don't register, you can't vote. So, that's the first step. And voting is so important. It's our way. It's our collective voice. It's our voice that we have as a community to express our views to give us a voice in government. If we don't vote, someone else will vote and we'll get the people that we don't want. We want the people the people that we want to vote for. It's so important our voice. I've seen every vote counts. I've seen election decided by less than 15 votes. Two years ago, uh just couple short couple of short years ago, an election in in in New York City on a on a very important assembly election was decided by 15 votes. I've seen that many times. It's so important. This is our voice. I go to Albany and I spend a lot of time in the halls of government and I'm there myself usually. Sometimes I bring groups, but I know that I'm not there as a y and I'm there. I have a se of thousands behind me. How do we use that? By voting. It's so important. I implore you. I beg you, make sure to vote. Make sure to register. Go to gura.org/vote/ny and everything is there. Register to vote. You have to October 25th, but don't wait till then. to do it today immediately and make sure to vote early voting voting by mail on election day.
