hey y'all what's up man it's a time of week again Torah shorts dropping it's a new last night so grab a chair come on over here don't worry it'll be worth it well sort of yeah you'll be laughing you'll be learning okay whether it's jumping in a pool or just doing something cool you're not that quick what's walking keep on watching torah's shorts [Music] hey guys guess what it's otter that means purim's around let's get the party started [Applause] [Music] all right guys back to business so this week's Torah portion is parashat to Ruma and in this week's Torah portion God commands the Jewish people to build a physical Sanctuary for him in this world wait a second that doesn't make sense what does it mean build a physical house for God like it's not like he's a physical human being who's just gonna pack his bags and move in oh hey how are you yeah I spoke to you on the phone I'm the real estate yes yes so um what is he looking for uh he's he's used to clouds that that helps um God a little help here all right guys in order to answer this question we're gonna do what all Jews do answer the question with a question hey Sprint so do you wash the dishes do you think I didn't do the dishes well did you actual Sanctuary that the Jews ended up building we see it was like some small tent style Sanctuary I mean you would think you would imagine the first house of God in this world it would be some magnificent amazing no it wasn't it was a tent I mean yeah it's it's pretty decent it's pretty good crazy so what do we learn from this so what we learned from this is that God doesn't need a massive beautiful Sanctuary for his holy presence to come into this world God is found in the small little synagogues God is found in that hotel room on an island somewhere where you went on vacation but you decided to pray a little God is found there but honestly if we think about it it's a crazy lesson in order to gain God's presence literally make him a sanctuary in this world sometimes we think we have to conquer Heaven and Earth [Music] no God dwells in the small stuff that we do he dwells in US you don't have to give away billions of dollars to charity that's a breath of fresh air give a little bit of tadaka over much you can you don't have to become a rabbi what really when did this happen but try to go to a Torah lesson at least once a week so you learn Torah it is precisely these small stuff that God dwells in US shabbat shalom foreign
