Parshat tzav: the one with the fashion

[Music] P yeah um could you please take out the garbage um okay but but but listen to me put on something nice you never know who's watching I'm serious okay [Music] [Applause] [Music] okay so taking out the trash is not something you dress up all important to do and it's definitely not something really important people do and yet in this week's Torah portion God commands the Coen gadal to take out the ashes the trash from the betam mdash that's like telling the president if he could go and clean the no no no no I'm not going to be cleaning the toilet not going to happen frankly it's disgusting but I will not be cleaning though here's the answer for a true man of God the goal is to connect to Hashem the path which leads you there meaning how you connect is irrelevant yeah my doctor tells me I have to go on a diet I'm like no this is my life I want to connect to God through every blessing I'm going to do what it takes I have to eat it wow if I have to keep eating and eating eating I don't mind this is my sacrifice you know what I mean so yes although taking out the ashes wasn't the most prestigious act but for the Coen goo that wasn't the point the point and the goal was to connect to God no matter what it takes and we should do the same shat [Music] shalom
