Reflection Of Our Purity | Rabbi Nachum Binder

It's common to feel down when we experience a setback, but it's important to remember that it doesn't define us as failures. As individuals striving for holiness and purity, we can be particularly sensitive to any perceived mistakes or flaws. We all know the times
that we're living in
are times when the Yetzer Hara
is fighting his final battle,
trying with all his might
to get us where it hurts us most.
Kedusha.
Shemiras Einayim.
So many of us struggle
day in, day out,
and at times, throughout these struggles
and the Nefilos
that sometimes come with it,
we feel like failures.
We can be walking down the street
and something meets our eye
and it has such an effect on us.
And we think to ourselves,
How low can we be,
that this affects me so strongly?
What's going to be with me?
And I once saw a beautiful Mashal.
A mechanic who sits all day in his shop,
climbing under the cars,
letting the oil
and all the dirt of the car
flow onto his clothing, onto his shirt.
If he happens to be drinking a coffee
and some of the coffee stains his shirt,
it makes no difference to him.
The shirt is filthy, anyway.
But that young Yeshiva Bochur
who wakes up in the morning
and puts on that crisp white shirt,
straight from the cleaners,
and takes a sip of his coffee
and a little bit stains his shirt,
the whole day, he's busy
covering it up, being nervous.
My shirt has been stained.
So what should we tell him?
So is it better for him
to put on that mechanic's shirt
and then he doesn't have to worry
about the stain of the coffee?
Or do we all understand that
the reason why this stain
makes such a difference to him
is because of how clean he is?
The reason why these things
make such a difference to us,
is a reflection of the purity,
of the Kedusha of our Neshomos,
of the Kedusha of our bodies,
and the Kedusha
which Klal Yisroel stands for.
A Nefila is not a sign of dirt,
a Nefila is a sign of cleanliness.
So the Aibishter helfen
we should continue in our struggles
and continue leading the path,
that when Mashiach will come
and the Yetzer Hara will finally fall,
Mashiach will turn to each
and every one of us,
each and every person
who had that very Vayimaen moment,
and will turn to him and say,
You brought me closer.
