Especially I couldn't take advantage of I had to take advantage of this last live stream that we could do some actual streaming with reactions to real music before sphere comes. Um before we start I do want to mention that uh today Ynissen is the art site of my grandfather Ramarik. Um so Ali Mashia now we should have him right now. Um so that we could not have any more suffering or any more tragedies in the world. Um there is a small clip of on the other channel uh the just uh Parik channel. All right. So, as I just said before, um I had to take advantage of the last live stream we could do with real music for Sphira. Obviously, we're going to have live streams every Tuesday after, but they're probably going to be on other things that we can't listen to music. It could be on music, but not necessarily concerts and stuff. So, um that's going to be that. Um so, today we're going to do uh react to the second uh chapter of the singing competition. I know some of you find it a little boring cuz not a lot of you know Hebrew. So, we're going to skip through all the talking and stuff and just focus on the contestants and their singing and their then the judges um uh opinions on them um on their voices. So, I just want to um mention very quickly what type of system we've been doing. Oh, wait. This is a This should be There you go. All right. So, I do want to mention the system that we do. Is there a way I could show both? Okay, I guess it's fine. Okay. So the this the ranking system that I do uh for the show is a S it's a famous uh uh trendy type of system where people uh how people uh rank things in general. It's called the S tier uh system. So the S is basically like like 11 out of 10 like perfect there's no discussion like that is it which we had one S tier uh singer um last week. A means 10 out of 10. B uh means um B means that there that it's about uh there it's very good, but there's some things that might need to tweaked and then you're good. Uh C is mid. Uh mid is mid basically. D is right below mid, which means that in my opinion is like there's a lot to work to be done, but not unredeemable. E is more like there's a lot of work to be done. Like a lot that needs to be changed. Can I say he's completely terrible? No. But can I say that he's one or two or three? Basically around there. And then F is like terrible, terrible, which I doubt people will go on the competition if they think they were terrible, terrible, terrible, but um you never know. Um and so last week, this was the ranking that we had last week. There was one S tier. He uh the pilot show he was singing us, uh Israeli song. Caught me by surprise at that. Uh A is um very much um we had one person, we had two B's. Uh to be honest, some of those contestants could have been C's, but I just kept it like that cuz uh no, that was my decision at the time when I watched it. So, I'm going to leave I'm going to respect myself last week doing that. Uh and then there were two D's. Um but let's see this week how it goes. Again, even though this is a Israeli competition, I'm I'm not going to bore anybody with just talking. So, I'm just going to skip right to the contestants. Um, just want to confirm that the judges are the same and I'll introduce you to the judges before we start to Okay, so we have here Yuvas Stupel, which is Aam Freed's uh used to be just his Israeli manager, but I believe he's his full-time manager or most of his time manager because he spends a lot of time in America also. So, I assume he's a full-time manager. Then we had Misha Klein Ellie um Misha Klein which he Misha Klein was second place in the first season of this whole competition even though the the competition was called a Kaba but um this uh competition uh so so in the first season of of the whole competition that this program was doing he was second place winner. Do you see my mouse by the way? Can't tell if you see my mouse. Anyway, so then we have a middle Adan which I did about two music reviews. He's not a good singer in my opinion, but he has his very own style that only he could do. And um and he's also very philosophical with his judging. So, and he is also very funny. So, it's fun to watch him. Ellie Klein and Yity Berry. So, those two are one of the most prolific uh composers in Jewish music, modern day Jewish music. They composed from Israeli to American singers and produced their songs all the way through. Um when it comes to Alan Freed, maybe they did one or two, I'm not sure, but Benny Freeman, they did a lot. Um they're just a top of their game in J. So it's a pretty good lineup of judges. So let's go to the first contestant here. Uh let's me put myself here. Um all right, let's see. the first contest. Oh, wait. There's another judge. I didn't know this judge. All right. So, I'll have to get introduced to this judge because I never seen her before. All right. Before we start before we start to the first contestant, I just want to see who the sixth judge is. He's probably a guest judge, but basically saying that the next judge we have we were going to bring a composer. So, we'll see if that comes. He said he's a yeshiva bak. So, a younger guy starting out, but he's putting a name out of himself. So, all right. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] It's just one of his songs. Charlie, whatever. for Okay, fine. So, not to forward with you guys, but Okay, fine. So, he's a composer. His name is Shafeld. He's a new composer. Let's go to the first contestant. All right, the first contestant boring. I'm actually quite interested to see how he sings fast songs. Um, it's uh I don't know. So, it's just my I just have a feeling that he's very good at this, but just my feeling is that maybe that's he's I don't I don't I'm not sure how he's good with fast songs cuz he cuz he does have that voice that feels like working when it's slow and low. Um he pickups very good. There's just a little straining in his voice. I don't know what it was. I'll give it an easy A. Yeah, I'll give it an easy A here. Um, trying to fit it here. There you go. An A. Simply an A. All right, let's see what the judges thought. Maybe. But by the way, I just want to say that when I get uh when I rank a contestant, I don't change my judgment based on what the judges say. I keep it where it is because I do feel like this is based on my pure raw reaction and has nothing to do with the judges comments. So, we'll keep it like there. So, uh, yeah. All right, let's continue. Let's continue here and hear what the judges said. Wow. Okay. Wow. Nice. Yeah, he's right. He's basically saying that there's a little bit that there's a little bit um shyness, maybe like like uh like a little stage fright type of thing. I totally agree. Maybe that's what the voice was. I know her name. No, [Music] I [Music] So mle mosh thing is if if his authenticity is like um terrible um that's not what we're looking for. But in this instance, I I do agree with him. He mentioned Yeah, he's very definitely tired. Definitely tired. in short that what he he said he liked about Yoda is that he was playing around with the music and doing successfully like taking it to higher heights which is true but again something missing. I think I think the other judge was right that it was basically him being more shy to to the performance. again. It's very That is crazy. He was just saying that the guy who composed Collette also did your love and other songs and he had a he had a whole uh accident and they and a miracle. That's that's really cool. I I like to know like these things behind the scenes even like to know like what what these people up to in their personal life. Even if it's tragic, meaning like he hurt himself, but but obviously maybe should help him out. But still, I love to know these stuff. I love to know these stuff. We give up. foreign. [Music] So basically what they're all saying is that he has this u to me is he has like this um innocence in the voice which I totally agree. The only thing is with the voice itself again that's why I put him in a I didn't put him as a C. There was a little straining in there. I don't know what it was, but maybe that was her point that he was he was he he's innocent like a singer and he didn't act upon it and on on that stance because of that because that's his personality too, which I could agree. He started out in the competition, his first audition with this song. No, wait, it wasn't the first audition. It was the second round of auditions. Um, yeah, it was the second round. It was the second song I did. So exciting. [Music] by the [Music] village. Oh, sorry. [Music] Wow. Wow. Wow. Amazing. That was amazing. Okay. There was a bit of a moment there that I could have done him a C. Sorry. Sorry. A A. Uh, he's definitely not a C. He's an S. 100% S. No doubt about it. Try to fit it here. Yeah, no doubt about it. This guy is an S tier. There was one little moment that he had a little rough start on one of the parts, but it was good. No, not enough to take it away from S. It's perfect. Putting him in S. S, baby. Try to fit it here. Yeah, fine. He is an S. So far, we have an S and A. This is a good episode to have an S and an A. Very good. All right, let's get see the judges. Uh, you they better not hate this. Come on. This is so good. That's [Music] three. foreign. Okay. No, this is probably ah Ah, I I need I totally disagree. There's nothing wrong with the choice of song. He sang it beautifully. I don't know what was wrong. Yeah, as I said that he Yeah, he was on the station. After Okay, that's kind of confusing, but he basically said that he he said that basically um he has a good voice. He knows how to use his voice and that the song was that if it wasn't the best for him, which I totally disagree, but he said that because he has a good voice and he knows how to use his um his vocal Um, he know how to he knows how to utilize his vocals and his I don't know how to explain it to call it, but basically because he knows how to sing with his body, he was able to have the confidence to go to go up there with it with the song. So, I agree with that. But again, I don't know why he keeps saying that this was not the right song. It's it's totally the right song. I don't I don't know. He thought it was very I agree. He basically was saying that he was very emotional. He was very moved by the song. that could go wrong. Okay. Mhm. Mhm. Totally agree. I'm sorry, I mean, but he's basically saying that that there's so many things that could have gone wrong with the song and nothing went wrong with him. And I totally 100% agree. It is a hard song to sing. I must say, especially when you're performing it. He's gay. Most of me die. Okay. Yeah, he's right. He's basically saying what what I thought that you you you instantly saw that he was stiff and not confident like not he's not a performer and that he needs to show more of that in the performance. Yeah. But again, this is about the voice and I think it was 100%. That's why I put an S. It was perfect. All right, let's see who it is. Third contestant of the night. So, my instant thought is that he's not necessarily um he's not necessarily a sing like a a a singer on stage. He feels more like a like a one of those singer like he feels like one of those guys in a kumit that like oh he's he has a very good voice. You could tell he was very nervous also. Um besides for the fact that he was a little offbeat a few times but again it could be it could have been because he was nervous over confidence at certain points. Um is he an A or B? I'm really deciding. He's he's definitely an A, but I'm debating if I should put him high B. [Music] Um, you know what? I'll put an A because I could compare him to this guy, Yoda. I can compare with this guy. But is he um, let me just put it here so we see it up close. Is he um better than Yoda? Um I think Yoda is a little bit more of a performer and a singer than him. So maybe I'll just leave like this. So I put him at uh he's I put him at A because overall there's nothing wrong with his voice necessarily. There were just some components that were missing for me. Um, so I'll I'll leave him at A. I think A is fair. I'll leave it at A. All right, let's continue. Uh, let's see what the judges said. [Music] line. Yeah, me too. He basically said that he basically said he wasn't sure what was missing exactly. I totally agree. There was a little something there. That's why I was debating to put an A in the first place. But uh which said he he's good at at at the singing itself. So that's why I kept him an A. [Laughter] [Music] He said he said that it was that it was a good choice for him to pick that song like then he expected which is interesting. [Music] That's not that's that's not good. If he says I love the playing, if he starts out saying I love the playing, that's not good. He said a good point. He said that the there was a wrong choice of song, which I kind of agree. And he also said that basically at at the auditions, we're not just looking for nice. We're looking for something that would put you on the map kind of like what we could choose that something that we would feel we would put you in the next level. So I totally agree with that. May maybe that's what it came down to that the wrong choice of song. It could have been could be very well. Yeah, they're all saying the same thing that it was the wrong choice of song. I kind of agree. Also, he also brought up the fact that teata is a very well-known song. So, when you pick a very well known song, you just got to be really good at it because there's expectations with a very well-known song, which is very true. So, that was a good point. [Music] Yep. Same thing. He in in his own way, he was saying the same thing that basically it's a song that everyone sings in Shaw. And so if you're gonna if you're going to um choose that song, you're going to have to sing it differently than just another person that sings in Shaw. I totally agree. I it could very well be that it was the wrong choice of song at the end of the day. I don't think Yeah, they're basically saying the same thing. Maybe we should skip a little bit, but basically that the song is a very well-known song. Anyone could sing it. And if you choose it to sing in your audition, you got to go high with it. You got to really bring your aiming for it. Yes. Hey, Masha said exactly what I said. He's like the typical kumitz guy. Meaning like like he's not like if you want a guy to be part of a kumzitz and you want a leader to lead the kumitz, you pick him. But for performance and for a singer, it's not exactly what they're looking for.
