welcome everyone tonight we're going to be speaking about the same thing everybody's speaking about uh the Iran deal but we're going to be taking uh it from a different angle we've heard uh this whole week last week uh many politicians speak about what they think uh we should do about this deal we've heard many people uh speak about whether they think the deal is a good deal or a bad deal but all the perspectives that we've heard um all coming from a political angle there are some people that are saying that the deal is a terrible deal and we shouldn't trust Iran and the entire uh and the entire transaction is faulty and therefore uh we should oppose it as much as we can there are others that say that deal is a good deal and we should or at least the very least it's the best deal uh that we could um possibly create and so we shouldn't oppose it what we haven't heard really what we haven't heard really is a perspective uh from the ronam from the T perspective uh we're going to there's nothing to be scared of all we have to do is pray and that's the only we should do and uhi said this we understand that this is a to perspective and and we're going to try to explain this because there are many people who are astounded by what Rim said uh first we know that hisus uh in all other contexts means not me that person should not merely rely on prayer but he should actually uh go out and physically do something people get up in the morning to go go to work and they don't just pray for paros uh nobody's going to say this is your people are going to say that you should pray of course and you should have of course but Theus means that you should actually go out and and go to work if that's the case uh over here one would expect Ki to say that hisus means that a person should go out and campaign for whatever position he feels is correct if he feels that the uh deal should be campaigned against then thealist would be to campaign against it if a person feels that the campaign that the deal is something that should be campaigned for then he should go out and campaign for it but R didn't say either of those two uh things said we should not campaign at all all we should do is to pray and I we're going to try to explain why um the second thing that uh was expressed by was from spoke about this at the uh for El in in in in his Yesa this year and I had the privilege of speaking to purp uh personally this past Thursday um to discuss the issue with him stanach says that uh not only uh should we not be campaigning but those but campaigning uh the way people are doing it now against the uh deal uh the way they're lobbying uh the way they're uh protesting the way they are uh demonstrating is a terrible danger to clais and people should absolutely stop doing it he said that we should tell people we should tell the world that the religious Jews have nothing to do with these uh protest TS objections or lobbyists that are trying to uh pressure uh Congress the senate or the American public uh against the deal he said that it puts kly in tremendous danger and it's a terrible terrible thing that that that they're doing question is also on on what mosha saying that what about hisas how could trying to uh agitate for what people think is is what clol needs how does that become dangerous for clol in other words we have a very great discrepancy between Das toy and Das balab batam over here not that it's surprising we know that Das baltim is the opposite of Das and we have the baltim all over the place um screaming and yelling uh uh protesting writing letters um pressuring people uh mostly against this deal and we're talking especially about the FR amongst the non-religious Jews there's a variation of opinions but amongst the from Jews at least by the balab batam amongst the from Jews including the organizations uh we find a uh great consensus of um not only uh an opinion about whether this deal is good or bad and the consensus is that it's bad uh from what I understand understand but not only that we also find a tremendous uh uh tremendously passionate I would say almost violent reaction to this deal in whatever form shape or manner it could manifest itself I have to tell you that I'm an old man and I know many grandchildren and in my life I have never experienced any issue I don't remember remember that there was any issue um any political issue or even religious issue uh that was put on the table that evoked such an emotional and uh passionate reaction from people such a a angry reaction from people I mean we've had the issue of the the Tova marriages not long ago uh there were issues of legalizing abortions and things like that which of course uh CL all as Torah Jews we feel very strongly about and yes there there are people who campaigned against these um ideas but the what's happening now I have never in my life uh I I can't recall such a violent reaction uh from I don't mean violent anybody's killing anyone I mean the the emotions the violent emotions the anger the the the uh adrenal uh reaction that people are having um take for example um what there if there's a any politician Jerry Nadler what they're doing to him here's a man now I have nothing to do politically with him I'm not even in his district I'm not from Brookland at all and I don't really uh know much about politicians allog together that's not my field politics is not my field and here's a man who rightfully or wrongfully you can agree with him or disagree with him he votes and he says that he's for this deal the reason he's for this deal is because he says again he could be right he could be wrong he's a human being doesn't claim to be anything but a human being he says that this will make the world safer for everybody he says that this will prevent to the extent it's possible Iran from getting a nuclear weapon he says that the Jews in Israel and the Jews in the United States of America will be safer with this deal he could be right he could be wrong I remember when they uh were discussing when they were deciding that they discussing over going to war against Afghanistan they were also questions does this make life safer for the people in America does this make life more dangerous for the people in America there were varying opinions so this man has an opinion that this deal is good for the people of America and for its allies in particular the people of Israel now you want to disagree with him people can disagree you want to Lobby against what he says that's also uh normal but what's not normal is the threats the um harassment the terrible level of of of of uh the terrible harassment that that he's been going through he's been getting tons and tons of phone calls to his office harassing phone calls this this goes beyond the uh the level of a disagreeing with somebody goes beyond the level of demonstrating against somebody have nothing against demonstrating you want to make pickets picket things I'm all for it but but harassing somebody but bothering somebody but act M being Ro of somebody through threatening he's going to be killed he got he gets death threats he's publicly called a traitor to the Jewish people treason he's he's a a a traitor to the American people why is he a traitor to the American people because he has an opinion why is he a traitor to the Jewish people because he has an opinion now listen if let's say some politician would get up and says I don't believe in God would anybody call him a traitor to the Jewish people no there are plenty of atheist politicians if anybody gets up there and says he doesn't believe a messiah's coming he believes that God has a nose anybody says he doesn't believe in tyii the religious Jews who would consider such a person who the would never get up and be busy calling him a traitor to the Jewish people because even though he's wrong not only is he wrong he's wrong he's he he's um uh completely denying our T our religion and If you deny the Jewish religion you deny the existence of the Jewish people because the Jewish people are only Jewish because of the Torah If you deny the Torah you deny the Jewish people yet nobody would get up and publicly call a guy the a traitor to the Jewish people but if somebody has an opinion against what Israel says is their security interest you become a traitor to the Jewish people that's a very strange thing now I want to tell you not only is it strange but it's it's it's it's B not only is it bizarre not only is it wrong and shameful people because if they really would be sticking up for the Jewish people they would be equally upset they have an equally visceral reaction to when people attack Hashem where were these people when they tried to draft the Yeshiva guys into the army where were these people when they they they had the G they legalize the gay marriages yes people are against it I understand but if a Jewish politician would legalize gay marriage would anybody say he's a traitor to the Jewish people there's clearly a double standard over here and you don't need to be a big anti-zionist to understand itos honestly don't know the truth is that many people who claim they know don't know I was once last week um somebody was telling me about how terrible this deal is and and and I asked them why and they were telling me about the centrifuges and I asked them what's a centrifuge says they make bombs in a centrifuge they I said how do you spell centrifuge purposely mispronouncing the word and he told me c n t r f u g centrifuge they're getting 9,000 centrifuges the guy tells me Iran is getting 9,000 centrifuges now I was going to ask him uh what does 9,000 cug is equal in Fahrenheit uh but I decided to to drop the conversation people who have absolutely no idea what what uh you ask them about any political ISS isue they'll say well maybe I understand this maybe I understand that way over here everybody has a very very strong opinion all right they're entitled to their opinions even if they don't really have them I don't have an opinion because I I I just don't know I don't know but that's
