In his Shabbos HaGodol drosho, Rav Moshe Sternbuch turned his attention to the attempts of various groups in America to get frum Yiddien to join the World Zionist Organization (WZO) supposedly under the banner of 'helping Klal Yisroel'. The Rosh Yeshiva said clearly that whatever seems like it will accomplish good in the end will only be bad for Kal Yisroel and that their goal is to put doubts in our Emunah and the role of Torah in Am Yisroel.
