Tribute Rabbi Zechariah Wallerstein founder of Ohr Nava Women's institutions - Helped thousands

Shalom this is a tribute to RAB Zar wallstein he passed away today I didn't know him personally but I know of his activities and the results he was a giant in what the Lish rule calls the K of movement kabad calls the Outreach of thought a b movement and I as soon as I heard the news I became very sad and at the same time I felt a responsibility to the Jewish people to talk about this what he did for Claus R and what he did was he put himself on the line and he went out of the box for the Jewish youth boys and girls who weren't conventional in their learning and daving and doing mitzvah for whatever reason they couldn't sit still in a classroom and many yeshivas and girl schools didn't want to take these students and zakarya jumped in mind you he was a businessman to the last day and in the beginning it was his business which funded his activities later they became so large so big that he he R he traveled around the world to raise funds he was a teacher of yish kite Judaism of T but he did in a way of friendship openness kindness and let me give you a few a few examples I know someone in our community here in burrow Park who was having a difficult time with one of their teenage daughters was bounced out of schools from here to there no one wanted to take her in parents were devastated my wife and I were involved a little bit and we didn't find the solution either somehow we hear that reev wallerstein took her into a home a group home that he has somewhere in Flatbush for teenage girls who are finding themselves wallerstein also opened up in bethl New York it's the Catskills a a therapy kind of a rehabilitation program for young women to rehabilitate rehabilitate them to give them space to give them an outlet he began his career in this field actually in the K Heights Yesa which was in Kon Heights at the time when there were students that they didn't want to have and accept because of their issues ER wallerstein said give me a room of the Yesa I'll pay for I'll pay the rent let me teach them and they did and he stayed with them till 1:2 in the afternoon every day even though he was running a business that's what kind of person he was and when we think about it and this is why I'm talking about it cuz he wasn't a laaber and he wasn't aid but he was a yeid he was a Jew he was a Jew who cared about the young people without the young people there's no future and this Jew gave away his money his time and his soul like AB he was generous with his father with his body and with his soul and wallerstein emulated this so when we talk about what is the recipe for saving the youth Ain bias a I don't want to say the last word there is no house where there isn't an unhealthy situation a difficult situation he spearheaded the movement locally and then globally to give these young people boys and girls a place he started What's called the orava institutions Nava was the wife of someone who I grew up with here in B Park Catz weav in from girl and be a successful mother and there's so many mothers today that have children that are because of of his compassion mayem help that the of wallerstein should be back with us with Messiah
