Rebbe's lesson from life-saving accident 7 Cheshvan 1985: Alacrity in matters of goodness- RC Dalfin

So 40 years ago today, Zion in 1985, my wife had a mira a miracle happened to her. She was pregnant with my oldest child, my son Mendel, 7 months pregnant, and she was coming back from a uh birthing class in California where where we are is in Marine County, California, north of San Francisco. And uh it was uh 9:30, 10 at night or something like that. 9 9:30 and uh a car was speeding at 90 miles being chased by the cops. He was a drunk driver. Went into her. She spun from lane one to lane four. Took off her seat belt, put her put back her her shel, checked herself and went, you know, came home and uh the rest is history. But the Reb wrote me a letter because I wrote to the Reb the next day. I believe the letter is dated the Zion. I don't have it in front of me now. I don't remember. But the Reb said, I asked the Reb, "What's the lesson of this uh this terrible accident and all that?" And the Reb said, "The lesson is how swift I must be when it comes to all matters of goodness. That's the Reb's in Reb's handwriting the typed handwriting the letter to me and he gave brahus. So I share this with everyone. It's not just for me. Elacrity, no procrastination. Do it now. Don't push it off for later. That's the lesson for each one of us. May we all be blessed and only good things. Amen.
