mother have to operate on this but not now when he'll be in his teens that's what we operate I was 2 years old now I'm 16 years old and I'm going into the re and I remember I don't remember if was 16 or 17 you remember bringing the Reel a whole bunch of pictures ex interest that I got from the doctor to ask advice ask I don't remember exact probably for ADV they want they know they wanted to do an operation yeah ready to do it right on ready to do it when I was 17 okay I'm not sure when this was 16 or I understand and I remember going into the and asking for and saying to the that I'm going to go in to the hospital I forgot the day I think it was high but it was so yeah so the said to me PES so close to PES so I said never look waited so many years to make to left face picked up his hand said ah up why should you push off other is but in the beginning he seemed to imply like it's close too close it's too close to PES it's close to PES imply oh oh oh one second and then when I said to I could push it off after the only reason I forgot that the only reason why we were doing it then was that's where our insurance kicked in on March 1st or whatever the day was that's when our insurance so that so close to PES right so the re said close to P so so who said so and then he said it's up his no I I said I can have an after P yeah so re said ah why push it off to to S whatever and you had and you had the operation and was successful and I came out on from the hospital uhuh I went in on and uh a three three three weeks something like that right and and and uh it was successful it was successful and actually I believe I was one of the first 100 patients in Canada or in Montreal to have this operation now it's of them are done done right then it was what is it called that what aortic no what I had was a seum septic no se I remember you said before a I always knew that second SE okay okay it had a very clear name wasn't SE atrial sepal atrial defect sepal atrial defect okay so that was another that you had with the re okay right that one well I was 17 years old then right and the other K I don't remember too much in other words they were like a regular K went into the Reb give Reb paper read it never responded and but the first time you almost for your yeah now you didn't go to a faban before right but since then I went twice a year I went and I went s well you said you went once with your your y the group the group went on uhhuh but we had a bus we had two buses you went already the group went in for and you you were part yeah and when did Ed to go to a non from Camp that was for special people that couldn't afford camps there was two camps Camp Wood neighbors and camp neighor both work by the Federation and both work for the same purpose right and I was registered C with as a camper or counsel a camp a camp okay I was probably 11 years old yeah asked what I'm doing this summer I knew that I just knew that I said I don't know wouldn't have to pay I said she go tell my mother that so he went told she said sure and she didn't have to pay years later collected money to send me to Camp how would you say a few years later I found that out a few years later and I well I was in the camp there I was two years of camper 5 years a counselor of the sixy olds one year a counselor of the 4y olds the pioneers and one year I was assistant much and then the next year I moved to California and they called me they said wanted me to come back as a head counselor I told you know now and because of that I opened my own Camp the next year day but a day camp and it's still running so you're the one that opened up the day camp a very successful at this point 50 something years later my son runs it my son and daughter I want to go back for a second what were you more interested in Yesa with in learning [Music] nigus what was your like what did you feel in Affinity to should I tell you the truth yes I was not a big learner I was not a big learner I just I love the Yesa atmosphere and I I learned you know like every B I wasn't a very big learner and but I Lova and and I remember at 18 years old deciding that I have to learn 12 my heart learned it and then I remember coming in there standing around and said just finish the 12 TR well to do that you need to be you have to have you patience right right I mean I loved the Yesa I loved the Yesa life and I L part to say I was a bigw to say I I heard once and tell me if it's true I heard that you your attendance was excellent that you kept what they call that you came on time to all classes is that true true so then obviously you were a good St give me to say you weren't from the the Big M year that I remember in Montreal let me tell you who wasel this was that was a year that must be my B when I became 18 there was a year that you always used to talk every night in kiss for every night who would P who they for either way was for I just remember coming because I slept at home I oh you never slept in dormatory I slept in dormatory when we moved to New York right what moved to York when I was 17 Oh I thought I thought your mother moved to farak 20 years ago no no communication for good few years I remember how many years whatever but the girls those little girls grew up and I knew that was there um over the years I heard there was like a some kind of
