say do I really love my work how many people here can raise their hand I know some of you are retired but how many people here can say the work I'm doing or the work that I did I really loved it and as Dennis Prager would say and get paid for it as well I did you didn't get paid for it but okay but you know not everyone can raise their hand and say you know my father taught us that European Jew he thought taught me and my brother my siblings you go out and wipe and wash the windows you got to bring help money home for your family don't tell me it's not the type of work and what you studied for get up and work and when you make enough money and this is how he made his living and he succeeded he started working two nights in the factories in in Brooklyn with the rats around his head managing the the shmatter machines making sweaters he put away money that he started he became a taxi driver to make a little more money and then he was able to go into partnership with and buy a business right he worked very hard Friday would come before Shabbos my heart was pounding that he wouldn't be home in time for Shabbos because he was driving the taxi from Manhattan to Brooklyn and the Clock Was ticking you gotta light the candles and my father's not home and I was scared I'm telling you so this was hard this is hard this is not easy stuff but he worked hard he put away money he went into business and he was my sleep was successful right so my father says this friends you guys are in Yeshiva he came to America he meets his friends in Brooklyn in 770 in Crown Heights and they're sinking and they're drinking my skin they're for bringing Thursday night tonight's Tuesday night and and they're singing the song I love my job she says what do you guys know about your job I'm working I came to America for three things to see the rebbe to make money and to get married I can't get married before I have money to support a wife so I'm learning in the morning in the Yeshiva and then I go to work all day and I work very hard but you're all day and Yeshiva having a great time so what do you know about I love my job that's when they told my father we're not talking about physical work we're talking about the work of servicing God servicing a higher power finding meaning in life in a relationship with God Almighty as Jews as people so then it's no longer I love my job
