The great Jewish superpower called arguing. It's amazing. The entire Talmudic literature and structure is built on arguments for the sake of heaven. You have one opinion and I will debate you and I will explain to you that you are wrong. You are dead wrong. You are absolutely wrong and the truth is on my side and then you will fight back and argue. Our greatest sages and rabbis from time immemorial have been arguing. It's the argument that shows us I am not going to embrace something if I don't think it's true. Here is where arguments can become your greatest weakness. And that is the need to be argumentative for the sake of being argumentative. Arguments that come not because I am looking for the truth but because I am scared to surrender my opinion. Embrace arguments for the sake of truth, for the sake of heaven. Arguments that ultimately bring you closer to your own truth.
