elderly man I remember him 30 years ago when he looked like he was 90 now he must be 190 but he he was I have a I have a picture somewhere I have this picture of him I'm I'm there only a few of us at and when we get out of this building some crazy fool is driving full speed down this alley there's no room in the alley besides his car I me it's a thin alley we you know we as many of us could jump out of the way jumped out of the way the driver with his pedal to the metal is not looking at the road he has a wine bottle upside down upside down and he's like this like this driving down an alley like this just wine bottle upside down and three of the students manag just quick enough to jump up to get their legs up over the hood the windshield hits them on their behinds flips them around and all three land on their feet with their cups of wine yeah now again I was smashed so so that's a that was what it appeared to be to them to me to everyone no no I that's what happened but I myself don't even believe in what I'm saying it it doesn't make any sense that that they survived that they survived getting by a car going full speed for the guy this part I remember vividly was the guy driving anyway but there's there's something going on and it's so beyond atheism you know there's a lot of people out there you know we live in a very atheistic tradition uh tradition we live in a very atheistic uh society today very atheistic um Society basically stopped buying into God in the last 200 years since the Industrial Revolution and the enlightenment it just became untenable and and we're not discussing Judaism obviously our our our definitions or lack thereof of God are way more palatable to the modern person because they they really work with a a person living in the modern world and Science and you know there there's no problem with that but other religions forget about it I mean religions and the modern world it it just it it just doesn't fit doesn't click and so and so well once in a while you meet a Jew who's having a hard time with their belief in God but porm porms like porm suddenly makes sense porm like it all makes sense and there there's just something something about it and I just want to mention one thing about the war is that amik a the war we now in Israel amik attacks us right when the whole world is quaking over the destruction of civilization you're and what would you sound like how much of your whole ability to speak has been your own desire to to somehow look good for the person you were talking to and how much of your personality is a copy paste of others in your life and so you start to realize that what exactly is underneath all that meaning what's under the mask because the other aspect of porum is wearing costumes and that's kind of something that we've taken on the Jewish people have taken on because it doesn't say I don't think it says anywhere in Hala to wear costumes you know it's interesting that everyone wears ever noticed that when people drink alcohol they more themselves sometimes like let's say he's a quiet guy and he drinks and all of a sudden he's like making more noise than anybody else so that's himself coming out like he really wasn't a quiet guy but the the the alcohol caused his inhibitions to go away and and suddenly he's talking so it's a chance to kind of say what you always wanted to say to be who you always wanted to be it's it's a coming out it's a revelation a personal revelation on for and I don't I mean it's funny for me to talk about this because I don't have anyone inside the reason I'm able to do what I do for a living and what I do in my life is all because there is really no one in there I don't have anyone in inside I'm like I the weirdest thing but like I actually have no identity at all and I think maybe it was best that way because I'm able to really help people like nobody else I've never met anyone who can help people the way I can help people but the reason I could help you is because I can jump into you so easily when I you understand if like you were talking to me about your stuff I'm in you totally there's no me to begin with to and I'll just be in there and I can do that with groups I can do that with individuals but if it came to porm and I wanted to dress as like who I really am I'd have to dress in a special invisible clothing I'd have to become totally invisible which would be what I was saying is I want to be knowing this year I want to not be recognizable but my wife doesn't want me to do that you know she wants a presence at at our party and she doesn't want the grandkids freaking out cuz I'm in some weird mask or my my daughter has an anonymous mask you know the hacker anonymous mask it looked so good with my stral and but I put it on at chabas lunch this week and if you saw my grandkids they were like they were like damaged by The Experience so she was like No And she wouldn't look at me my wife wouldn't look at me she so she's not excited about me going incognito but I so want to have purum be me unrecognizable what do I do I don't know what to do so the oh maybe I like really get made up like like get my beard extended or something anyway guys something to have in mind is who you really are who you really are to have a real um personal perm experience is to contemplate the party you've been hiding and make something so deeply yet you could never explain it and purum is really built for us to have a noetic god experience a noetic god experience that's that's really what the whole the whole day is designed for is to get to that noetic knowledge of God but a kind of noetic that you couldn't explain it meaning if you had an atheist the day after porm say prove to me there's a God you'd be like no problem and then you'd be like I mean I know it totally but like and rambam says you have to know there's god well having a noetic experience of God is probably one of the best paths that because the other path would be getting Gathering evidence there's got and I personally am happy with Gathering evidence there's God I think that's what he meant I don't think he meant porm but purm is chance to have a noetic god experience so you some of you guys probably have to really let let it rip you know you got to cut loose this P like yeah I don't know if you guys let yourselves cut those like that but noetic experiences are where it's at like what gives me the holy to teach my cabala classes as if I've been learning so much cabala my whole life who am I to be teaching cabala class all these years the answer is my noetic experiences because because you don't teach something you don't know you know what I'm saying like or you could teach something you don't really know but no one's going to want to come back you'll get you'll teach one class and no one will ever listen to you again the it's those noetic experiences that suddenly put like you get a white beard overnight like you know stuff and you don't know why you know it but you know it now and now when you share words of Torah or you share any words of wisdom or advice it becomes sagely in the eyes of people because you've had your noetic experience you've been touched by God in a way you could never explain it
