Rabbi Yom Tov Practical Spirituality: Kabbalah - Moving Up Their Parallel Worlds

Shalom and welcome to Asia tour here in the old city of jerusalem overlooking the Temple Mount this class is called practical spirituality and what we're doing now is we're going through the Kabbalistic worlds and what is that supposed to mean it's answering the question how does light energy become matter how does light energy matter if you know anything about physics there's light energy and there's matter this is the world of matter and it's coming from light energy physics keeps it theoretical they don't know how but they have theory how light become matter whereas in Kabbalah we have not theory but whether we have an actual tradition for thousands of years that comes down and what is that tradition that there are actual parallel universes did I say parallel universes sorry parallel worlds that actually obscure the light to create the image just like if I have skewered a light if I obscure the light on this board so it creates an image you see that when you obscure light it creates image so to the obscuring of God's infinite light it creates image and how does it do that it does it via worlds now those worlds are are parallel worlds maybe be easier to understand from our world because one of the things that one of the punishments it's pretty nasty punishment but one of the punishments that someone could get none of you will get it but a punishment someone could get is called kapha kala kala kala means that that when you die you go up one parallel world from ours well if it's only one level up it looks exactly like this world because think about it in the high realms things are super ethereal whereas the lower realms of all those parallel worlds that are filtering the light it's gonna start looking more and more like this world well the bottom level worlds look exactly like this world in fact they are this world just one step removed now they see us we don't see them so if they get that punishment they're stuck here forever and they are they are able to see us interpret but they can't interact with us we don't see them they see us we don't see them and they're just stuck here forever and ever and ever they just stay that age and they're just stuck here and they don't need food or water because they're already meaning they've already been buried there their physical bodies dead but their soul now is lingering around this world that kind of floats around the planet generally they the kabbalists teaches that the that those souls that are stuck in the complicated like to hang around crowded public places so if you find yourself drawn to the muffiny hooda shook outdoor market over there in Jaffa Street anyone feel drawn there some people feel drawn there anyone here feel drawn there nobody feels drawn there you out of the coffin Kayla through the through an unconscious or dead body but there's a way to prevent that the way you prevent it is by always guarding the unconscious or dead person so we have a tradition in Judaism that if anyone's ever unconscious or dead we always have gesundheit we always have a living person with them in the room anyone here ever guarded a dead body just me I've got I was left by accident for my 10 year old son guarding a dead body his oldest brother he said was the scariest thing ever happened in his life it wasn't so much the dead guy was so scary he wasn't happy about that either but I had to go and you can't leave the dead body alone because people jump in from the cough of Kayla so I had to go he was with me anyway so I just left him alone for like few minutes so but then I got sidetracked just kidding I didn't get that jack what happened was the daughter of the guy who died walked in right behind my son he didn't hear a walk-in and when she sees the you know the body covered on the on his bed in tiny little one-room plays she screams shrieking at the top of her lungs now my son's 10 years old he's his jobs to protect the dead body and all of a sudden aah and he jumped out of his skin nice it was a scariest moment I was like but it wasn't so much the dead body was the daughter behind anyway but you want to be careful of unconscious people to make sure there's always someone with them yeah no no it'd be more like medically unconscious not not sleeping sleeping you there's no such thing as getting a getting a soul to jump in your body while you're sleeping and you get out an exorcism yeah it ain't pretty we had one very public possession to happen here in Bear Sheva fast because untied about 25 years ago and it was very public the exorcism was extremely public it was a woman with her ex-husband's voice talking through her trying to kill her and anyway it was all a like think it was televised it was like on national television the whole exorcism but I she didn't survive the exorcism unfortunately we lost her but but they did get the body they got the husband out of her which was good yeah at least they got the husband out to rub oil Levine when he was really gonna die they had to carry him in he couldn't he was no longer able to walk and they asked from a full Levine if he would do a dream quest and River full of green you know carry him into the cemetery and have him ask forgiveness in front of ten men and so they brought him out to the cemetery and he asked forgiveness in front of the ten men at the grave of Rebbe moshe feinstein and he he was fine after that the story says that he walked out of there but i can't verify that but they said the story was they literally walked back to the car like his body came back to life but he lived he couldn't still be alive action and anyway I verified that story with Levine himself in the car with him so like that's a that's the real deal anyway Kaku kala is this parallel world well there's lots of parallel worlds and and the parallel worlds are where we go when we die now I'm obviously blessing everybody never to have to go to the köppen kala you don't wanna whatever you want in your life I mean you can literally choose anything as we know we get to hear about terrible choices people make you know like you know violent people and stuff making really bad your life early and I sometimes I'm nervous about people like smoke cigarettes and or you know eat bad foods or overeat and stuff or don't exercise enough because I'm just wondering if they're also a little bit busted for because those things do in life earlier so it's kind of like suicide on the installment plan but as I wonder about that and that I'm also I'm an extremely healthy eater and very avid exerciser and in fact where our Asia oka class is today at 5:15 a group of Rabbis that do yoga together anyone can come except unless you're female of course we don't do co-ed yoga sorry anyway he was never violent with me but there were times where he was angry at me and didn't want to speak things out alone in the dark and but but what would happen is my wife would tell him okay you can come over and then she would have call someone else who would keep an eye on him like a hundred yards away while we walked around you know not slowed by this shook you know that I could I would look back once around see someone way up the street just watching the whole time just to make sure anyway he was quite nuts but what would happen was he also he liked alcohol and when he would drink alcohol he would turn into a dog but particularly a dog particularly later in his career he wouldn't turn into a dog and when I say a dog like literally a dog and bite people like a rabid dog and so anyway there were several different biting events people had to go the hospital it was a whole thing and hey you came perfect time for a story remember my student Yahshua who would become a dog and bite people remember that story you never ready he's an easy knows right Tati attracts crazy students sometimes do i yeah have I attracted one recently anyone particularly crazy lately yeah the answer is yes so anyway anyway anyway so this guy later in his years when he would get drunk he would turn into a dog and would get violent and at one point I mean some some poor guys were sleeping in there suka and he crashed through the wall as a dog and I paid the hospital bill meaning a meaning yoshua pay me back you pay me back but you know once he sobered up and took you took responsibility Martin pay me back for payment for this guy's hospital bill you know cuz he had to get shots and stuff and he's my dog so anyway another point poram obviously i wouldn't drink some poorer I mean I could tell you stories about this guy important but I'm not gonna only tell you this one he dressed up as a dog in spot unborn and and got thrown out of the Rebbe there's a Rebbe in spot who's like the Rebbe of so yep in this class someone dying doesn't mean the story's over it's only beginning yeah if your issue of dying is only the beginning of the story so anyway he dies really weird situation customer what happened was he was very close with his mother who lived in America and and he and his sister was a bit of a student of mine he flew back to see his mother before she passed away she was a she had the she had cancer and she was she was he flew back many times since she'd gotten that illness but now she was really dying so he flew back to say goodbye the next morning I get a phone call from his sister saying that she's dead the mother and I'm like I'm like sorry to hear that she says you're she was dead to me they both died and here she was in her house with her mother passed away and he died in his sleep that night is that weird totally weird what yeah except he didn't have anything to die from it was just really weird so now I missed his funeral like the me I mean there might have been another rabbi out there who took care of me I think there might have been one that maybe in spa but but I was in the air flying to America while his body was being flown to Israel I was flying to teach and I wasn't gonna not teach a community because if he died so I didn't go to the funeral I never even knew where he was buried anything and he was buried in spot but about half a year later we have an open third meal which you're all invited to every week we do a big open third meal which is Saturday evening and it was about 15 minutes before Shabbos came out and this Gentile like six foot two blonde lady who was like she looked like she was from Sweden or wait I don't know Finland I know where she looked like she was from but she definitely looked Scandinavian she's holding the freakiest looking dog you've ever seen in your life skin the whole dog's skin are you ever in it I think there is actually a breed of dog that doesn't grow hair but it wasn't this breed yeah you can go when you're not coming to yoga if you do I think they already left but if you really want to go the tunnels you can go with the Eddy but you're not going to yoga over your bikes here now you're going to you're sorry you've been in the tunnels alright you look a little disappointed you want to leave your bike here I don't think that's good idea anyway the but they do tunnel tour once in a while so I mean it's up to you but you tell you if he can figure out a way to get your bike home you guys can come you can go so she's holding his dog that's all skin like human skin but it's a dog and on the belly of the dog is a round patch of hair that would have been the hair of the dog like had it had hair so it's an all skin dog with his little round patch of hair here now she said that the dog like be lined towards my house during the open half of the third meal where you're sure used to always come and the dog was like beeline to CrossFit solace Street towards my house and got hit by a car so the dog was dying and his dog was clearly dying it had like its ribs like punched into its lungs I mean it wasn't dying and and she's holding his dying dog she wants to bring it in my house no I'm like listen lady like Shabbos is out in 15 minutes we'll call the animal people they'll come put the dog to sleep whatever you know just sit here right there's stairs right next to my house like sit on these stairs you want to take care of the dog take care of the dog we went to Ma Reve to the evening so by the time I came back that the truck had already come and they've taken the dog to that Animal Services later that night I go to a bar mitzva with my wife I didn't go in she went in I it was a friend of hers so I just sat in the parking lot in another car in that parking lot was another man waiting for his wife in the bar mitzva and who is this guy this guy's names a white cats off and he is a shepherd a Jewish shepherd who lives on the mountains overlooking over the Temple Mount like on the east side by the Mount of Olives he has a he has a pasture over there where he Shepherds sheep and he is the only place that was willing to let yoshua stay at his house so you're sure used to stay at a Weiss house hey wise family a wife runs up to my window and tells me the following story outside the bar mitzvah Saturday night after Shabbos where this dog was a white tells me that he was having a dream that that yo sure was a dog and he was all skin except for one round patch of hair on it on his belly and he came to him in his dream begging to die meaning because the human soul in an animal body's not going to be a very fun experience animal souls and animal bodies are good human souls and animal bodies are not happy about it this really can be extremely uncomfortable to be a human in an animal and so he came to him as a dog with all skin a round patch of hair in his belly and was begging to be taken out of his misery like killed and it was he said the dream was like crazy intense and then his wife started shaking him this is in real life his wife's shaking it why is she shaking him she's shaking him because because their Shabbos table which they for the last six months have put a cloth on and made Chavez meals and taking it off and cleaned it there was a fresh cloth on the table and on the table was a nut a bank receipt for money yoshua had deposited for them for the cat's offs in America with yoshua signature you know signing that he deposited the money there was an actual sign note of a receipt from a bank deposit with Yahshua's name on their Shabbos table and she was shaking to wake him up to understand what this is doing on their Shabbos table Shabbos you know afternoon while he was taking his schlaf he was woken from this nightmare with her saying what's the meaning of this of this Bank receipt on our Shabbos table into that part I can't that I cannot explain anyway the story's almost over I was taking a Elfi man on a tour of Israel I'm learning here but they sometimes they ask me to take these guys up north so I took him up north and we're leaving spot we're gonna go for dinner in Tiberias and this is already 11 months later 11 and a half months after your show died and we're on our way we leave spot down the bottom of the spot and as we're passing by the cemetery at the bottom of spot to turn left on the highway I said to the passenger in the car because we've got to talk about something so I said oh you know my one of my dear students is buried here and I never got to see where he's buried and and he says well why don't we go now and now I'm turning left on the highway and I'm like not going to visit my student on your time and so we're striving out towards Tiberias and the this wealthy guy is like he's like I don't understand why you know if he's your dear student why you never went to see his grave and I'm like well I don't live in spot and I am I've only been here once or twice and it just hasn't come out he says well why don't we go there now and I said because this is your tour I'm not taking you to visit my students grave and he kept going it after a while the guy says to me he says to me you know I'm a bit of your student at this point I don't feel very comfortable being the student of somebody who wouldn't visit his students great he's really pushing me and you know when you turn left towards spot there's a little neighborhood on the right I think it's into herb flavor there's a little whatever what's it called salsa or sign I forgot what's it called out of I so so I turned in there to turn around and then fine we'll go so I don't even know where the grave is in the giant 7jo they got am I gonna find it so I called someone in spot who was at the simple funeral and he explains where exactly where to go so we go in there and it's like raining a bit and we go exactly where he told me to go no there's no grave there with yoshua on it like nothing and we were there for like 15 minutes 20 minutes drizzling on us and it's not there I've gotten up every row of the area where he's buried it's not there so so finally we gave up so we're leaving I called him back by the one he's like I'm telling you as the I said it's not so we're leaving now and just as we get to the car a pickup truck comes in I stopped the pickup truck and I say hi you part of the favorite condition and burial Society says yeah and I said you don't have any idea where you're sure Abrams is buried and he says you sure Abrams and I'm like yeah you sure everything you sure abran I'm like yeah he he doesn't answer me he gets on the phone calls this like it was like a radio or something he's like he's like someone who knows your show Abrams is here and all of a sudden like he says you wait right here like over the next 10 minutes like a bunch of cars come driving up it's like all the rest of the burial society comes in and they take me to his grave his grave is unmarked no stone there there was a sign that had already fallen over meaning a little chalk like a little piece of chalk board you can kind of make out then it sent your shoe abrams on it but like you it was illegible and like this is his grave and I'm like why is it like this and he says because the family in America never paid for anything they didn't pay for the the but dealing with the body they didn't pay for the the brave they certainly didn't pay for a tombstone they didn't pay for any of this we we did this funeral and it didn't get paid for and so we are laws that if no one pays for we don't do anything we just leave it there and it's now you understand by the end of the year you're supposed to have a tombstone this is 11 and a half months and here I am and I'm like well you got the right guy man cuz I know his family very well and and and I said okay take care of it and I made the phone calls to America and the grandmother stepped up paid for everything and he got a tombstone right there so I was like I got to like have a part in it in the end which is very interesting all because of the student cuz that we never ever turned around as you saw I wasn't gonna turn around didn't go and go get him and go find it it's amazing these Souls stories you know and these are like real ones these are the meaning they're not just like campfire tales I got to be involved in these ones and this one included it this one included the possession in a dog that's really yeah he says go over the bike yeah right like when I'm on the trails I should be enjoying it I'm gonna call the guy after him at least try to convince him to let me test it out oh I don't know I don't know we don't understand that we don't ask questions of these things you know the we don't understand any of this I mean why do you have to have your life the way in your life is like why are you this number kid why are you from that house you could have been had you been from a hundred yards over 100 yards over to another house and a different number kid your whole life would have been absolutely we don't know why yes but we don't know what that is we don't know what anything is actually this is the first thing ever I didn't let the newspaper go into my house I think I came out looked in the newspaper I saw there was a tragic fire of kids died you know you know observant community they talk and they're like there's no consequence and I know many people have profited greatly by doing evil so there's no real this world consequence but God gave us choice so when do you actually take responsibility for your choices meaning do you get paid or you get busted when does that happen well there's only one obvious place that can happen and that would be after we die so you don't need a rabbi to tell you anything at me that's what I'm saying you don't need to hear from rabbis what happens when you die it's enough logically to understand that the one thing you've got in this world is choice that's one thing that you got free will and you'll make your choices there the consequences of those choices will not be obvious meaning you will not necessarily get rewarded for doing good or punished for doing bad in this world one sec but when we die now the soul releases from the body the body goes Six Feet Under and the soul now goes up and takes responsibility for the negative choices which I said were
