Shalom and welcome to practical spirituality today I'd like to discuss travel uh our sages tell us that it's good to travel anytime you get a chance did I say our sages I'm sorry Rabbi nman says to travel anytime you get a chance if someone offers you the chance to travel I mean don't be irresponsible you know like if you're if you have appointments or a job you know don't just jump in a plane or on a boat or in a car to the north the uh you can ask questions sure oh you never heard that yeah I don't know where he says it but now you got something to go find out yeah so RAB says travel the reason why is because um because there's a certain amount of divine there's a certain amount of uh Divine uh Providence Providence yeah Divine Providence siaya that hits you but the thing is if you're living in Bermuda Triangle if you live in the Bermuda Triangle which is homewor sh homework sh or home sh work home sh work home work home work home home so then it doesn't leave a lot of room you know besides maybe a flat tire or a parking ticket or a or you know I don't know the guy next to you spills his coffee on your sitter I I mean it doesn't leave a ton of of stuff however when you take off off and leave Bermuda Triangle and you head out into the unknown so now it's just it's an open field and God can start sending you all kinds of really interesting things and that's that's um that's like it's it's playful to travel it's playful to go out there and just see what happens um you would think it's uh maybe something more for single people to go out and just see what happens you know just get on the road and see what happens but you can actually do it as a couple well not every woman's got the got the nerves for that but mine does so we we take off with no plans we never know where we're going to stay we've even flown to countries uh we like got some tickets and flew off to some country we don't know where we're staying we don't know anything so we the main thing we got to do when we get there is just find somewhere to stash our bags and it's much better when you get to a place to stash your bags and forget looking for where to stay don't look for where to stay go experience the town and as you experience the town well likely you'll get to know the locals and at the end of the day the locals will say so where you staying and you'll be like I don't know and they'll be well why don't you stay with us they like okay and next thing you know you're staying in some House of you know people from Florence Italy you know with with handmade pasta you know from their grandmother and and um you know there's like a whole Whole New World opens up for you and and not to mention the fact that since you didn't just go check into a hotel and do the tourist thing you have now people to visit the rest of your life in that town because they're probably still going to be there and you kind of make the world your world uh kosher Travelers maybe can't eat Grandma's pasta but uh you still can hang out with people and meet them and get to know the locals and and you just let God be in charge of your itinerary that's the idea now um but today I actually want to talk about spiritual travel where you don't even have to leave your seat and there's certain traveling that we do every day and I think a lot of people aren't so cognizant of that travel so I'd like to share with you that that kind of travel uh we're taught in in the cabalan Jewish mysticism that there are uh five worlds there are five worlds and those worlds go from uh this world here physical world up to the world that's called yer um which is the world right on the other side of this world and um and then you've got a world called Berea above that and then you've got a world called no we did AIA and then you got a world called atas and then you got a world called adamm and what are all these worlds all these worlds are really literally how nothing becomes something because all the you know remember that in the whole discussion between atheists and Believers you've got the atheists have the problem of what's the nothing before the something that's not a problem for us we we call the nothing God that precedes the something but we have our problem their problem is how did the world come from from nothing they they don't mind explaining how it evolved from once it's something they don't mind explaining that Evolution as Terence McKenna said give us one miracle and we'll explain the rest you know that's science give us one Miracle we'll explain the rest how something came from nothing the and what's interesting is it's just about the biggest miracle that there could ever be meaning if they had asked for some other Miracle maybe we'd give it to them but don't for the absolute biggest Miracle of all of of something coming from nothing that's like a little too big a miracle to be asking for if you're a scientist you know go for a small little miracle not not like the biggest miracle that could have ever been in all of history so their problem is how did some come another we also got a problem our problem is is how did one become many how did one become many something that's ABS it can't be more than one because it's nothing right if you multiply Nothing by 30 what do you get nothing you you multiply it by 30 get nothing you divide it by 30 get nothing it's nothing so nothing is absolutely one nothing you know it's it's it doesn't have Parts it's nothing you know like when you close your eyes you see light but when you cover it with your eyes you see nothing and how many is there one see most people think nothing is zero nothing is not zero nothing is one we're not talking about mathematical nothing we're talking about nothing nothing and whatever that no thing is it can't have Parts because it ain't nothing so why is that long you can it's not a thing if you have a thing then maybe it could have another thing if you have a thing maybe maybe they could split in half now you have two things but when you have nothing what happens when you split nothing in half what do you what do you get when you split nothing in half nothing yeah we're not talking about mathematical one so mathematical one then nothing would be zero but but this nothing is far from zero in fact we're way more zero than it's zero considering the fact that we are a projection of it it well if you're the projection then the projector is the real and the projection is the projected it's you know it's not called creation for nothing we're being created you ever thought about that word creation it it implies already it's being created which means there's a Creator but the created is the projection of the Creator you see somebody's making something up here either God's making us up or we're making God up and understand the atheists believe we're making God up and we believe God's making us up someone's making something up I like that God's making us up first of all I mean it just has some fringe benefits like for example you don't have to be depressed nihilistic and blow up anyone's school so that's pretty good who wants to blow up schools and cause Carnage and wreckage and pain and suffering which is you know the way people you know kind of can get nihilistic with it you know most people don't blow up schools but they blow themselves up you know with tattoos and body piercings and you know they anything self-destructive they can possibly do maybe they'll go for a sex change right before they th hurl themselves off the edge of a building and the U but they they at least try to destroy themselves but the people with the dark Triad the dark diad will they they they're going to take the whole ship down with them you know those personality traits you can Google those the um anyway point being is that it's got fringe benefits and I think maybe the best Fringe benefit of all of saying that God makes us up is you have a meaningful life because once you say we make God up there's any meaning you make you make any meaning that you make you make but then the guy is making his me the guy next him making his me after a while you realize it's totally arbitrary everyone's making up their own meeing which means there's no meaning and then you have a meaningless life because well if you have a low IQ so you just make meaning out of the fact that your job in the factor is to put a bolt on the end of a screw and send it to the next guy so if you're low IQ that's all good but for a Jew who automatically has a an entire index Point IQ higher than the average Gentile um the you making your own meaning is enough to Ram your head in a wall because you realize very quickly how meaningless that is that it's totally arbitrary it's not that meaningful and you get depressed rather quickly which is why Jews have the 3DS 3DS are depressed distracted and devoted depressed sorry distracted depressed and devoted distracted depressed so there's Jews who are able to distract their high IQ with meaning distract the fact that life's meaningless with making meaning out of I don't know nuclear power that was probably something to do with the Jew the double helix I imagine the DNA probably had something to do with the Jews Discovery um uh cell phones I think that was a Jew by the way I don't know if nuclear power or uh the other one I said had to do with a Jew but I know that cell phones did and uh you know you distract yourself win a couple Noel prizes and then you shoot yourself in the head you know why because how much can you distract yourself after a while you start to realize I'm just distracting myself and you get depressed because the world's meaningless and now you're living this depressed state of meaninglessness and even your the things I myself remember dragging my feet across the beach to Surf perfect waves meaning my whole life when the waves are that perfect I mean you're crossing the beach sometimes a Long Beach sometimes you're Crossing that beach and you're looking at perfect like steamy waves out there like spray coming off off the the lip of the wave and perfect we are running so fast like forget stretching like we're not stretching we are putting our leashes on our legs and we are paddling out as fast as we can we're screaming the whole time I remember getting to a point after 12 years of Surfing six to8 hours a day I remember getting the point that I was dragging myself across the beach didn't stop serving still went out there my body just goes naturally to serve I can't stop it but I just couldn't get myself to even smile about it because it wasn't working anymore it just wasn't working anymore and thank God I found my way to Jerusalem that year meaning within that year almost towards the end of that year I next thing I knew I was in Jerusalem and when I discovered there was two things I discovered that just were the greatest things I ever discovered one life's not meaningless there's actually a Creator boom like like amazing and made surfing a hell of a lot more fun by the way because guess who's sending the waves you know and I I just felt such gratitude out there I never felt gratitude surfing you know I had some amazing places I surfed what a shame I thought there was no God because there were places that oh my gosh if I could even if I can even describe them to you guys are just be like can't believe such a place exists on Earth talking about like Indo iian you know little Islands a boat drops us off comes back a few hours later you know it's unbelievable water that you you see the fish swimming under you you know and the bright blue aqua blue barrels were just sitting inside the tubes of of 20 foot waves and we're riding a quarter mile on that one wave coming out of the tube and then roller coastering up and down all the way till you get to the jungle and then just padle back out and do it again and I mean just incredible things and sadly I was living a meaningless existence at the time would have been cool to know there was God but um what I want to say why am I talking about all the surfing so there was some something was going to say about about the the the surfing the meaning the oh was the one amazing thing was finding out there was God but the other thing that was so awesome that you guys could never Maybe you can understand I think maybe you and you can understand I don't know who could understand this but something that was so awesome was finding out that there are rules that say you cannot do that finding out that you cannot do that which might be as much as lighting a match on the shabas Sabbath or eating certain foods or or um you know anything having to do with uh with sexual licentiousness to find out that you can't do that was like amazing like thank you letting me know that there's actually an area that's safe there's an area that's safe in this world because if you're raised with no Edge if you're raised with no borders the way I was raised atheists with no rules so you never know where the boogeyman is you know you don't know where the danger is part of why I was surfing bigger and bigger and bigger waves was I was looking for the edge you know someone showed me the edge and I just couldn't find it because apparently God was keeping me alive for some other purpose other than just being another guy sipping up the oxygen of this planet he had other plans for me apparently so he kept me alive and very very hairy situations I mean car crashed I raced cars for seven years and it was like when I was going through these car crashes that you know what it takes to go from 70 miles hour to zero you know banging off stuff just ricocheting off things takes some time you know and I remember just slow motion watching it happen just KN like somehow being kept here but I so wanted to know where the edge was you guys don't realize you're like probably jealous of secular people that have no that there no rules like wouldn't I love to have no rules I'll tell you what it's very unsafe it's very unsafe and by the way I I had no idea I thought when I was arguing with the rabbis when I got I thought I was fighting for my lifestyle I wasn't going for no I didn't realize the rules were good I was that was like the furthest thing from my mind the opposite it was like I thought rules were like unamerican and I was like the most American kid you ever met you I wasn't excited about the rules it was only later when I realized oh my gosh there's a God and I got got a bunch of rules to keep and I'm going to start keeping them and I kept my first shavas that I finally relaxed and said h mean if all those are the rules and they're god-given rules that means I'm safe right here and wherever those rules are that's it's letting you know like don't go there don't go there and if you have where not to go that means you have where to go by having not where not to go what makes the car go fast okay what makes the car go fast all right which pedal makes the car go fast which one is that in with the G which pedal don't give us fancy words accelerator gas the gas pedal right is that the is that the pedal makes cargo fast wrong it's the brakes no one's touching that gas pedal if the brakes aren't working it's the brakes that give the car the ability ility to go fast it's in the restrictions that marriage is Holy it's in the restrictions that chabas is awesome a place for man to to contemplate something most men won't do forced contemplation once a week it's the breaks that make you go fast and and I so those were the two big things that transformed my life was finding out there actually is meaning in this world there's a purpose we're here for a reason and the other was that there's a safe place to be as long as you could tell me where not to be I know where I can be and I've noticed before I could be anywhere I was going I was going everywhere and uh unsafe unsafe going everywhere couldn't really create much with that and everyone knows you know there buildings in Jerusalem you know the the building they're building everywhere in Israel at all times you know the national bird in Israel is the crane because there's absolutely cranes and everywhere you can look you'll see a crane except out this window that's because there's a building right across from us but you would see cranes if it wasn't that building the the um believe me those building those Builders have a lot of compliance rules a lot of compliance rules and I personally would not want to be on the 20th floor of a building where the contractor was breaking the rules you understand and and and flights a lot of rules on those flights you know line of rules for some reason there's a lot of plane crashes like I feel like we keep hearing about plane crashes wasn't a couple weeks ago a couple plane crashes been like three in the last week there were two in the last week there's one there's another one with the there were two just now and then there was three like three weeks ago what was that one all right I don't know what's going on anyway I'm sure it has something to do with Dei you know just ask Trump you know no matter what goes wrong I think for the next four years it will be Dei at fault so Dei I have no idea what it stands for but it's something to do with how you have to you have to hire you have to hire a black lesbian to be the mayor of Los Angeles or something and then when the firemen are like there's no water in the hydrants you find a white lesbian leading the fire the chief the fire chief is a white lesbian I mean it's called fireman you know not firew woman you know who ever heard of a firew woman out okay let's get back to our class I can't believe this class now needs to be edited by the way if you're a lesbian or black I have nothing against black lesbians or either of them white Les BL yeah so the deal is like this is that someone's making something up either God's making us up or we're making God up and I personally think that aam's Razer you guys know aum's raiser alam's razor philosophy Greek philosophy I don't know who aam was but his razor cut sharp and and the aam's Razer is that the simplest explanation is usually the right one it's a philosophical move you know it's like it's like the 13 ways of of uh you know you know re's 13 ways of understanding the tment so Greeks have their own system and one of them is called akum razor which is the simplest explanation is usually the best and now I'm seeing Trump going for the simplest turned out to be the best so the um anyway aam's razor is cancel out the ra so so regarding akum Razer regarding the simplest explanation is that the world's being created by God is a simpler explanation than nothing making something meaning saying the world came at you're basically saying the World created itself you know which is ridiculous no one's ever going to believe the world made it so but and and you guys know that all the big universities have these physics department uh sorry theoretical physics departments that spend their whole day I guess smoking cannabis and staring at their belly buttons discussing what could have possibly made this place because you can't say nothing made it unless you say it's God God would be the aum's razor that would be the simple explanation but the problem is if it's God suddenly you have you have to deal with the guilt of what you might have done with your genitalia last weekend whereas if we could just say it's nothing meaning meaning sorry nothing they can't say it's nothing but if we can say we just haven't discovered it yet which is the famous you know sign we just haven't gotten there yet by the way whenever someone says I haven't gotten there yet in science you know like like cancer resarch we haven't gotten there yet you're allowed to say that if you've made progress you're allowed to say we haven't gotten there yet if there's been some progress tell me how much progress have they made in figuring out what the nothing is that made the something how much progress have all the theoretical physicists with our taxpaying dollar with our tax money how much progress I'm asking you like if full progress means they discovered it and this is zero like how far long are they at this point probably think they made some progress no they haven't um I've gotten a chance to meet many of them I even called them my friends because they're super cool these are all like dead heads you know like Grateful Dead they're they're really cool guys they got to the to become a theoretical physicist you're a bro you probably play guitar okay and you're crazy genius and mean all the best conversation you could ever have is with theoretical physic I suggest meeting one by the way they're a lot of fun and I got to speak to mit's uh graduate physics department and discussed this with them and they they all agreed that they've gotten absolutely nowhere but they're enjoying the grants and they're enjoying and they enjoy the medical marijuana that they smoke while staring at their belly buttons thinking about what could have possibly made this place other than God and I called them as many of you might have heard on my other podcasts and stuff but I called them the high Priests of the secular world you know why because in you see in Christianity nobody knows what's going on probably including the priest but but they at least know there's a priest and he obviously knows what's going on because he's the priest right he's the guy with the fancy outfit and the incense so he I don't know what's going on but he knows what's going on and Jesus died for our sins and we're all good but in the secular world if you want to live a secular lifestyle you have to know somebody's up there who knows what they're doing who's that the theoretical physicists we pay them millions of dollars in every you know every big university gets grants of millions of dollars for someone to spend his time figuring it out so we're like saying you guys go figure it out while we play around I won't fill in the blank but we'll play around and do whatever the hell we want while you guys figure out what made this place you know as long as someone's making sure it's not God do job it's a dope job and it's forever you make zero Prof progress and and you you have a permanent job you know it's like the best job and they'll never get rid of your department because the whole entire Society is basically anchoring their lifestyle on you're figuring out what other than God might have made this place well they got all the way to Theos on particle right but they call the God particle first of all the god molecule is is is called DMT and people often uh make that mistake the you see the god molecule is is DMT partic yeah the the BOS bosam Hicks Hicks bosam machine with this was like I don't even know how many millions of dollars but they created a machine bil billions billions large yeah what's it called again say large collider large hadrin collider the large hadrin collider and what they did was spend all this money to somehow make something from nothing and when they were creating it it was on the front page of the paper and I was a kid at the time growing up and saw this like oh wow they're finally gonna because all they've given up on the fact that they're not going to figure out what made this place but what if we can make something from nothing because if we can make something from nothing that's what it's for to make something from nothing if we can make something from nothing then there's hope for our uh for our department you know for our uh whatever you call that field field for our field thank you so there's hope for our field which is ridiculous to spend all that money to make something from nothing so there would be hope for your field then when they finally made the whole machine they sent out news there was actually you can probably Google it front page papers that they created something from nothing but then if you look in the back back back of the newspapers months later they failed at creating some for nothing did you know they failed that want yeah well go check it out now go check it out they they didn't really create something from nothing it's not about creating something from nothing it's about seeing how this particle permeated through all of existence including Dark Matter including the nothingness so it has oh am I getting this all wrong I thought it was the whole Hicks bosen thing was to get something from nothing no it's am I thinking of something else it's like the field of existence it's like what all matter goes through so and that's what they call the god part Quantum level it's like what permeates absolutely everything including nothing including Dark Matter including Dark Matter so it's a prog good Hicks BOS I thought hick supposed them was anti-god I'm thinking of something else does anyone know what I'm talking about they created a machine to try to make something from nothing that's the same same they pretty much smash two protons together real fast and or two electron something something SM two protons They smash together um and they uh like specifically get it to split apart into its subatomic particles so you get a bunch of like weird differently charged quarks his b higs bans and pretty much what happens they figured out that not only like they can there's some weird stuff that happens with it like if you like if they're like the scientists realized there's an article about it scientist realized that just hold this and say the scientist realized all right so they had a really weird thing the scientists realized that they held like so if they held like a thought process of like it' be really cool if we could see a higs B on that goes off at this direction and we can record it then what would happen um we'd be able to figure out this and do this equation and like in a sequence of tests they realized that they had actually like they would predetermine the next tests outcome so statistically stat like yeah so like so thought processes actually have an effect on the physical world is what they figured out from that that thought processes yeah that they by like like like affirmations like we do affirmations and prayers and things like that they've been finding this out with DNA lately yeah the latest DNA research seems to come to thought they also uh that's and then they this this experiment like the first recollection of the whole affirmation started with the monks and the freezing of the water they had monks prey over water and they they would freeze it and the actual like sub the under a microscope the particles would form like little ice crystals if they did like happy prayers and they'd have like a mon sit there and like lose his mind while meditating like just be like he's like they're like spread the emotion of anger and just think anger and they find it and it wouldn't make a proper Crystal it would be deformed on the inside whoa so they've been like Health ramifications yeah so there's other people that think that the reason why we feel a pain in our chest when we are like angry or upset or sad is because that's where the biggest pool of water is is in your heart at one given point in time and so when you feel a negative emotion you're adjusting all the water molecules in your chest interesting well as as a surfer I definitely get that water is very responsive to vibration right because that's we're W we're riding the waves that were that the ocean was created creating um also you'll notice when you go underwater you can hear sounds like in our mikah if you go in the cold pool I don't know if you go in the PO you go in the so you can hear the you can hear the motors in the uh turning the filters in the warm and hot but you're you shouldn't be able to hear them they're they're quite quiet and you're in a different pool altogether but because all the pools are connected to the rainwater storage facility it the W the vibrations are just carrying it all the way through into the cold pool how many years already are they doing figuring out what the world is like the the new new how long they doing it Ein since Einstein 40s 1940s the new Greeks right I don't know how long but the uh I'm not an historian and we just found out I'm not much of a physicist as well not great at physics but um anyway listen in the um what I wanted to share with you guys is travel the worlds these five worlds are how one becomes many as I said before the problem for the atheists is how the world comes from nothing the with us the problem is how does one become many because the only way we could be in this world is we have to have many there has to be Multiplicity so how does that one become many and the answer how one becomes many is uh is that a light called the Orin a primordial light that's not a physical light but it's a light nonetheless shines into what's called a Halal which is a space that's not even a space because there is no space because there's nothing but it shines into a space called the Halal not literal and in in that kalal as it irradiates that Halal so there's contractions that cause that light to become uh contracted so that it's not going to blow everything into blow everything out of existence you understand that anything God makes he is he's got a serious problem how does one become many whatever he makes he is how can God make something that's not him and he's and he's also we're saying he's infinite which means he can't have an he can't stop and something else starts right he can't stop and something else starts second you say that well he has an edge he's no longer infinite he's long certainly not well now he's the number one instead of that would be the goesa definition the Gentiles definition is the belief in one God there's one of him he ends and we begin but Judaism nowhere in the Torah doesn't say there's one God the Torah always says that God is one he's an indiv IIs indivisible Oneness absolute Oneness undifferentiated Oneness it's not that there's one of them it happens to be there's one of them because he's all there is of course there's one of them but he is one and so in order to create other he has to have this infinite light that he radiates the Halal with the space with which is not again a literal space you're not allowed to think about God creating a space outside of him because that's already you understand it's blasphemy to have the thought that God IR irradiates he he brings light into a space having an idea of a space is already blasphemy and that's what the balatan would was a very critical of some of his opposers um who took the this whole discussion literally and um anyway that's why he's the M yeah yeah that's the word mome the one of the names of God is is space itself which is really cool and guess what our world how do you say world in Hebrew and what's the root of the word and what's the word for hidden n and what's the root of the word hidden L men the same exact word for world is the same exact word for hidden why because the only way there could be a world is if God's hiding himself so to speak filtering out his light enough so that there can be an actual world but how cool is that and while the atheists are all freaked out about figuring out the problem how there can be a world Judaism just in the one word world answers the question think how simple that is like leave it that that's hakum raising that's M you understand like the the the whole issue they're trying to figure out what made this place when Hebrew the word for world is the word for hidden why because he can only have a world if he hides himself in that world and it turns out that you can travel inside those worlds you can actually travel the worlds and not only can you but you are right now traveling those worlds because you have five levels of your soul just like there's five worlds and each level of your soul is in one of those worlds right now a good reason to be careful down here because you see you're thinking you know you're walking down the street you know you're going to look at what you want to look at you know free will you know do what you're going to do and you know you think you're like somehow independent in some way from those other worlds and then Judaism is like a religion you know do I want to like keep my eyes down do I want want to you know maybe refrain from doing the wrong things you know like it's like Judaism sadly for so many people is a religion but actually you're dragging your soul through all these places you're dragging your soul and your Soul's Soul's got to deal with it it sometimes sends messages like for example to the American Jews the soul did you know the soul sent a message to all the New Yorkers the whole East Coast world The Souls of the East Coast World sent a message did you ever hear about this message they were all sent a message because you can imagine they're living out inside of is once you're outside of Israel all you think about really is money you know it's just about money did you know that that it says that the reason the kohanim don't do their you know nanu nanu they don't do the konic blessing in outside of Israel they only do it in Israel except Persians do it outside of Israel which is totally crazy considering they think the most about money no offense if you're Persian but Persians do it every day uh outside of Israel uh only on like so the reason why it says that there's no beim inard is because because the Cohen instead of thinking about the blessing we'll be thinking about money that's what it'll be thinking about money which is like like what you know like so maybe we they shouldn't pray either you know if when they're finally blessing the people like that's what they're thinking about they're thinking about money so because they'll be thinking about money whereas the kohanim and Israel are actually thinking about the blessing and not the money so they Bless the people every day here and and apparently shabas isn't enough out there they need like they need to be about all this is that how how do we get to why are we talking about money oh the the Jews in the east coast got a message from their soul you know what it said amazing it said stop washing on bread during the week yeah stop washing on bread during the week which means you're kind of stuck if you like bagels and pizza and all every other sandwiches you know what are you going to do yeah so they figured out that if you have a certain amount of juice to sweeten the dough then you don't have to wash and you don't make hamotzi you just make mazus and you um have the short blessing afterwards I'll him so you're off the hook and why did their souls say this the reason their souls said this was because one of the holiest things in all of Judaism is something called Bas the blessing after a
