welcome to this week's Torah lesson this week's Torah portion is processed by you in Europe the question of the week is what is Abraham's style of charity so in this week's Torah portion in the famous story where Abraham is arguing about God about saving the city is known Abraham says the unlucky offer of a friend I am dust and ashes now what is Abraham referring to he's referring to his humility that he was totally humble and he's willing to give everything up away for God and for another human being as we know God came to visit him and what did Abraham do while he's talking to God II so people needed help he stopped talking to God which was a great experience to go help somebody else here Abraham was fighting to save other people when he could had a good relationship with God but Abraham's willing to give everything up physically spiritually materially on all levels just to be there for somebody else what happened in in as a result of that at how much as we received two special mitts looked one is that if a woman is a suspected of adultery there's the parchment of the SOTA was written up the the letters are erased and that creates an opportunity for the woman to become not it's become purified for the guilt of us trying to put on her the same thing also if somebody becomes impure and you need to have a purification process so these the process of the red heifer and the Cohen that actually does the service becomes impure but through his impurity he actually purifies the other person so in others we got these two beautiful mix vote to allow us to give a gift to the woman to become clean and also anyone become spiritually impure can become purified from the ashes so here you see there's two ways to do charity one way is you take care of yourself first and if you have leftover you help other people Abraham shows the onion feed off of a fur I don't exist I am here to help anyone anybody and everybody first I'm here to take care of other people and then if there's anything left over I'll take care of myself so the answer the question what's Abraham's towel charity thinking first about another human being before even you think about yourself thanks for joining us this big story lesson is dedicated in the memory of Barack Benari lab and Ben Joseph may their souls be elevated by the Torah we're studying in their memory for more information please see our website
