it's time for rabbi Minko it's weekly
Torah lesson here with his spiritual
perspective and insight
rabbi Mingo it's welcome to this week's
Torah lesson this week's Torah portion
is fascist umma the question of the week
is how can we experience the greatest
happiness so in this week's Torah
portion pastor Struma we learn about the
Jewish people bringing different gifts
to the temple and the Torah begins and
says this is what you should bring
solve castithan AHA yes gold silver and
copper so the Rebbe asked a simple
question normally when you bring things
and when you list things that people
bring you list first the things that are
will have the least value then more
value and then the greatest value as we
see that even in the order of the items
are brought to the temple
it lists first things which were less
available that would more and there were
more available that means it was less
value and then things which were the
least available the special stones and
that had that had the greatest value so
why over here when it came to gold
silver and copper did it mention the
gold first
so the Rebbe explains a fascinating and
Danny says as follows when it came to
building of the Mishkan God wanted
everyone to participate men women
children
everybody and the questioners asked we
know that the Mishkan was a place God
was going to dwell on so if it's a place
that God is gonna dwell in shouldn't you
take people that are holy people that
are special people that have meditated
people to prepare themselves people
don't have experience to build to build
a tabernacle but God says no no I want
every single person have equal parked
male female adult child irrelevant what
level of commitment or observance to God
and to Judaism everyone has an equal
part and the question is why so dreary
brings an interesting idea of based on
the Talmud Talmud so like this that when
it comes to studying Torah so if you see
the mood is studying Torah that's great
you're starting to the right reasons why
maybe not in the mood of studying Torah
and the only thing that's gonna motivate
you to study Torah
it's an external idea you're doing it
for reward the Talmud says yeah study
Torah even though it's not for the right
reasons and the Talmud says because me
toys shallow this one even though
initially you're doing it not for the
right reason eventually I'll do it for
the right reasons but the Rebbe explains
based on the Kabbalistic insight that
toys means not because but toys means
the essence of every single person is
great the essence of every single person
is wonderful and therefore even though
it looks like you're not studying for
the right reasons but since there are
essence is great therefore we should
study um because our essence really
wants to study Torah and that's why
during explains everybody per took in
the building of the tabernacle because
even though maybe externally this one's
this level that one's that level but the
essence were all one how did God
underscore that and how God pointed out
to us by telling us the first thing that
we brought was gold not because gold is
more or less precious with God is
referring to the Jew that every Jew is
on the level of gold and we know golden
Hebrews Ahava and sahab means it has an
abbreviation of Zion a summary this is
what a healthy person brings and God
believes that every single person no
matter of what level of observance our
commitment it seems that you have God
believes that we are healthy and we are
holy and we all have 1st place and at a
temple equally so the answer the
question how can we experience great
happiness just think about the way God
thinks of us God thinks that were all
healthy God things that we're happy and
God things that were all special and
that will give us the greatest happiness
