welcome to our weekly torah lesson this
week's torah portion is parashat
the question of the week is how can we
merit
to live an everlasting life so in this
week's torah portion pasha's kukas
it's named hookahs for the for the
statutes in the torah
which are above logic and above
intellect and it connects us to god in a
very very powerful deep way
the word for that is a statue so the
question is why is a torah add the word
the letter suff to it
and the rebel explains that the letter
soft represents the last letter in the
alphabet in other words when you're
serving hashem
you have to serve him from ali from the
beginning until tough until the end
a step further if you look at a soft a
soft is built with a with a line on the
right
a line on top and then a line left which
represents the three
garments of thought speech and action
that when you're learning torah doing
mitzvos in prayer
you should do it in thought in speech
and action
and there shouldn't be a gap between
speech and action like you normally have
in the hay
because since you're connecting on a
deeper level and a level of you go
straight from thought to speech to
action
also the three line resemble
torah learning torah prayer
and good deeds you shouldn't be just
extreme as just learning and not praying
and praying and not learning and not
studying not doing mitzvot
to be balanced address all three answers
in your life make sure you learn entire
every day make sure to pray every day
and make sure to do make sure do do do
it's vote
but then when you look at the self so
the
right line and the top one then when you
come down the end of the bottom
one there's actually like a foot on
bottom and the last leg
what does that foot resemble that foot
resembles
bittle humility in other words once a
person learns and a person prays
and a person studies and doesn't it's
vote you can get a little arrogant so
tough reminds your way to stay humble
and just and to recognize that all the
tremendous gifts that we have
we have from hashem and when a person
does
all these components where meaning says
you learn and you pray
and you study and you do mitzvot and you
do it with tremendous humility and you
do it with thought speech and action
so then you can have the real hakiko
what does
totally connected to you in an
everlasting way and we know the soft the
talmud tells us that tough resembles
um tikka to live because we'll be able
to live an everlasting life
so the answer the question how can we
merit to live an everlasting life
by learning torah by praying by doing
mitzvoth with our thoughts speech and
action and with bitter with humility
we'll all merit to live a long and
everlasting beautiful
life this week's torah lesson is
dedicated to the memory of
baruch ben arya yosef and
may their souls be elevated by a torah
with studying in their memory
