[Applause] it's time for rabbi mankiewicz weekly Torah lesson here with his spiritual perspective and insight rabbi mink awaits welcome to this week's Torah lesson this week's Torah portion is parshas mashaallah the question of the week is what should you do when you're facing obstacles so in this week's Torah portion we learn about the Jewish people leaving the land of Egypt and now they are ready to go receive the Torah and right in front of them they have the see behind them they had the difference running after them what are they supposed to do they're facing the greatest obstacle possible so God tells motorino to move forward and sure enough naturally now may never know the jumps in the water splits the dirty walk through miraculously dry land in between the sea the water standing on both sides of them and when they get through Moshe Rabbeinu causes the water to go back and it sinks the Egyptians but the verse uses an interesting word when it's fixed about the water going back to its original strength when it drowned the interruptions so it says went back like a son Noah now lady sunny means to its strengths to its power lay sunny also means to its condition in other words the commentaries tell us that God when he created the world he made a condition with the water that it will never block a Jew that's on its way to Mount Sinai to receive the Torah so in other words God didn't have to come along and break the water and split the water it was part of the condition hey the water cannot be an interference and an objection and an obstacle for a Jew going to receive the Torah so the minute they were going to Mount Sinai and they were going to receive the Torah they were going to follow God the water will not be an obstacle all they need to do is move forward and the water will go away automatically so in other words to answer the question what should you do if you facing an obstacle move forward if you're going to do something good if you're going to do what God wants there won't be any obstacle that would really stand there it's only a facade and if you move forward the obstacle will go out of the way thanks so much for joining us for our weekly Torah lesson this week's Torah lesson is dedicated to the memory of bora pandari lave and Schlomo no.6 may the souls be elevated by the Torah that was studying in their memory for more information about Chabad please see our website [Applause] [Music]
