[Applause] welcome to this week's Torah lesson this week we are celebrating simcha Stora the question of the week is how can we experience joy when we are studying Torah so on holiday of Simchat Torah which we are celebrating for as we finished studying Torah our whole year what do we do we take the Torah we do not open it or study it we keep it closed and what do we do we dance with the Torah we dance with our feet so a we're not starting Torah and B were dancing why is that a celebration so the Rebbe explains because there's two aspects to Torah there's one the dad of the Torah has we study Torah use our mind to comprehend it but then there's another aspect of Torah is that the fact that it's God's Torah so all throughout the year when we study Torah when we're studying Torah what are we using we're using our mind we understand we don't understand we discuss at etc but there's also the ass but that it's God's Torah and here in simcha so we're trying to underscore and to remind us to remember that even with studying Torah throughout the year remember that's ultimately God's Torah and if we study Torah remembering it's got her will ultimately have real joy simcha while we're studying Torah throughout the year so the answer the question how can we have joy when we study Torah is - even though we're studying towards God's Torah and it makes sense we have to remember most importantly that we're studying God's Torah and for studying God's Torah we will have a Joey and simcha as we study Torah throughout the year this week's Torah lesson is the memory of burro when are you laid and Ben Joseph may their souls be elevated by the Torah was studying in their memory thank you so much for joining us for this week's Torah lesson for more information please see our website
