hi everybody we're here at the Nova Festival we're with Dean who actually is a American grew up in the States but he's here with the police and he wants to share something very meaningful important for our community to hear about what went on here October 7th thank you so we're on the Nova Music Festival site where we all know the massacre that took place here at the hands of the Kamas terrorists but a lot of times we Overlook something that very important that took place here and that's that while we know almost 400 people were slaughtered at the hands of of the Kamas terrorist there was almost 3,000 party goers that were here and within the 3,000 there was about 40 police officers and these 40 police officers together with a few security guards that were here that were part of the the party they essentially did a miracle because well yes it's very difficult and and I don't undermine it for a single second every soul that we lost here there was almost 2600 people that got to go home to their families wow because of these police officers think about it if 4ou if 400 were killed and slaughtered here where did the other 2600 go it was because there were people here that were fighting tooth and nail the police officers that were here also the security guards that were here were battling the terrorists on the main road that was right there keeping the terrorist occupied from coming inside of here you had the other half of police officers that were here trying to find a safe route for the civilians to get to safety showing them the road the the video the iconic video of people running through an open field how did the people get to their safely because there were police officers that were here and they were fighting due the nail and when we had to come here hours later to collect the bodies and to assess the situation and we were pulling the bodies of 17 police officers that were killed here in the line of duty half of them didn't have bullets left in their guns because they fought until the very last bullet and I remind you as a police officer we're not the Army We're Not Special Forces things like this our police officers with a handgun and we fought terrorists who had AK-47s who had machine guns mount onto their onto their pickup trucks who were coming from the air who were blocking the roads there was absolute chaos going on here but there were brave men and women who were here that gave their life so that other family so that other people can go home and see their families even if a men costing their own life and costing not seeing their families again wow that's beautiful thanks so much for sharing I love it for two reasons everything you said but you said 2600 which we know God's name y KB is 26 so it's times 100 that's number one and number two is to focus on the positive even though we lost a lot which is a tragedy but how many we saved thank you so much really a lot of people look at us as as victims especially right now but you also have to remember the resilience of the Israeli people when we come together when people come from America here and they're doing barbecues and they're putting smiles on soldiers faces it's a really difficult time we have a lot of pain and a lot of loss but we're a nation that always gets back up We're a nation of resilience so that's what we I love yes resilience thank you thank you so much thank you thank you
