Welcome to this week's Torah lesson. This week's Torah portion is paras. The question of the week is why will the Messiah be from the tribe of Judah? So in this week's Torah portion, we read about a Yehuda. Yehuda confronts Y. On the other hand, the prophet, it tells us, King David from the tribe of Judah is going to be the king and Yseph obviously is going to have to come to Judah. So the Reb explains you have two opposites in the para. Yehuda is confronting Ysef. Ysef is the leader. When Msiah comes, Yehuda is going to be deived. The Reb explains because Ysef represents learning Tory. Yehuda represents action doing the mitzvot. In this world, we know the famous debate in the Talmud. What's greater? Talmud or action? And we say that Talmud is greater because it brings you to action. And because Talmud's greater and Y is all about Tyra, that's why Yehuda had to confront Y. However, Msiah comes because we're going to see the power what of action. What is the power of action? So, it's brought down in Kabal and explains action is all about simple acceptance, humility, doing what Hashem wants. Yes, you learn, you connect to Hashem, you understand, but it's your understanding. But action is all about doing what Hashem wants. So the answer to the question, why will the Messiah be from the tribe of Judah? Because Yehuda, which is represented about mitzvah is all about true B and another, true acceptance.
