Welcome to this week's Torah lesson. This week's Torah portion is parl. The question of the week is what positive lesson can we learn from the spies mistake of not wanting to go into the land of Israel? So in this week's Torah portion, we learn about the spies mission to the land of Israel. They come back with the report and they don't want to go into the land of Israel. Says wondering why is it spies? They were the leaders of the Jewish people. Mo picked them. Why wouldn't they want to go into the land of Israel? And the Reb explains and he says, "Think about it. Their life was amazing. They had food from heaven. They had water from heaven. They had their clothing was taken care of by God. Their their their lodging was taken care of by God. And therefore, why go into the land of Israel? Deal with the materialistic malistic world." But Mosha tells them, we know Mosher spoke from Hashem and he said, "No, no, no. God wants you to go into the land of Israel. Why does God want you to go into the land of Israel? Because we know there's a rule in Kabala. Anything which is higher falls lower. So you might look at the land of Israel, it's earth. It's a physical place. You're living in a spiritual bubble. But the real sparks, the real godliness in the lowest places. And that's why Khal told them God wants. What does that mean? God wants for that's coming from the highest place which is keter. God wants us to go into the land to elevate the sparks that's there and by doing that we'll see that really the land is very very good.
