welcome to this week's Torah lesson this week's Torah portion is the question of the week is why do we all yearn to travel to Israel so in this week's Torah portion hasem tells Abraham go to yourself so what does it mean going to yourself you tell me to Le to go I'm leaving so what does it mean going to yourself so the Reb that explains bled on one of the commentaries in the Torah called the the AL that when Hashem is telling Abraham he was telling him go and to a deeper part of yourself a place where you can reach the source of your soul which is on the highest level in the world ofus how does that happen by leaving your home and going to the land of Israel and the land of Israel is lined up on the highest levels of would connect to Mal so by you're leaving you're going to yourself which means you're going to a place where you can connect to a highest source of your soul now J gives an example we see when it comes to the um the second days of yon that we celebrate outside of Israel so we know that outside of Israel what happens is the energy drop goes down from Mal of the highest worlds and it goes down to the world of Y and AIA and from there that energizes the Seven Nations of the world so in other words outside of Israel you can reach only the level of Y the highest level you can reach but when you go into the land of Israel you able to reach the level of now even according to the other in is referring to not going higher but actually bringing it down from the highest level to low lowest lowest level like it says bringing it down from call Ryan the highest level of intellect down to malus but in order to accomplish that journey of bringing it down to the lowest level you need extra light you need extra blessings and that's why you have to go to the land of Israel to see that receive that powerful blessing so the answer the question why do people Ur to go to the land of Israel because the highest source of our soul is in Israel so we're going there to connect to the highest source of our own soul thanks so much for joining us for our weekly Torah lesson this week's Torah lesson is dedicated to memory of May their souls be elevated by Torah was studying in in their memory for more information please see our website sf.org have a great and blessed week shabua to
