Welcome to this week's Torah lesson. This week's Torah portion is paras. The question of the week is, are we robots? So this week's Torah portion, par. We have the commandment where God says, I'm going to be sanctified amongst the Jewish people. So what does that mean? We're going to be sanctified amongst the Jewish people. So Reb explained and he says means doesn't only mean amongst, but through through the Jewish people, God gets sanctified. What does that mean? So we learn in this week's Torah portion the mitzvah of Shabbat. So we know Shabas is called Shabasesh. It's a holy day. And then we have the holidays which are called mikes. They're called co-holy. What's the difference? The shabas in itself it's holy. The holidays we have to make it holy. We establish the calendar. We establish which days in the month it is and we bring holiness into the Shabbat. And that's why the mitzvah Shabbat comes first before the holidays because first you have the essence of holiness and you bring it into the world. The same thing also there's kadesh in essence of holy and then there's the kesh kadesh kadesh kadesh bringing the holiness into the world. So what is our job to bring holiness into the world and like we know the famous teaching of the mag says so the literal translation means no know what's above you the mag explains and he says you want to know what's above it all comes from you we have the power to change the reality we can change the energy that comes from above by being happy will bring down happy energy being positive will bring down positive energy thinking good good things will happen. We have the power to change things. So the answer to the question, are we robots? Quite in the contrary. We are not robots. We make the reality by by changing our perspective. Reality changes.
