risk it all for the people he loves since the horrible Terror attacks on October 7th we've stayed in touch with Rabbi Minka Wix from the habad lubovich of Southwest Florida in Fort Meers last week he decided to drop everything and to travel to Israel to be there for his community now only on Wink News we're hearing from him on the ground in Israel Wink News anchor Emma heon is here Emma where was the rabbi when you spoke with him Amanda Rabbi minko Wix facetimed me from the hospital he was visiting this morning which is a minute drive from Tel Aviv he told me he was there to visit injured soldiers inside and said for security reasons he could not show them and said he turned the camera toward these smiling faces this is Shelley benim a relative to an injured Soldier and my question for him is how can anyone find positivity with so much evil most people would want to hide from war the Eerie echo of Air Raid Sirens the shuffling of feet to get to to shelter fast and the boom of each missile attack in Israel Rabbi minko Wix from the habad lubovich of Southwest Florida wanted to head right toward it I think you need to show up for your family when family goes through a tough time you show up and you do whatever it takes to be there for them Rabbi minko Wix took a flight on Sunday night arrived in Israel Monday morning where he met with soldiers fighting on the front lines saying danced arm in-arm to boost their Spirits it's a difficult task with so much evil because Behind the Music and hope are the innocent lives Stripped Away from loved ones grieving families in their seven days of mourning following the death of a parent spouse sibling or child in Hebrew Rabbi minko told me it's called sitting shiva we went to a place 230 families sitting shiva why because evil people murdered innocent adult male female children a mother sitting Shing for her for her son little children sitting Shing for their father beyond anything we can comprehend minko Wix shared these photos of the hugs he shared with mourners somehow still finding a smile how are you staying so positive out there with all the bad happening cuz we're focused on the good there's a lot of good we got to do we can't get lost we can't get down and because we know that without positivity we're not going to win we're going to lose mink Wix told me the most important components are unity and happiness because unity and happiness will give them the energy they need to get through the tough time they're going through I asked robbi minko if he's heard the sounds of war and his response was absolutely Sirens have gone off we have ran into a bomb shelter and the shelter was shaking but guess what we know God's watching us so we're not afraid the rabbi told me he plans to fly back to Southwest Florida on Thursday back to you Emma thanks
